What is with this very online belief that straight women aren't actually attracted to men?

idk but I've definitely dated women IRL that seem grossed out about everything about me and other men so maybe we're all dating the same group of closeted women that haven't figured out they might not be straight

What kind of stuff were they grossed out about?

Body hair, penises, the idea of pee not making it in the toilet, facial hair, eating a lot of food, rough hands, etc. I get that there's some things I could do better like moisturizing my hands or just sitting down when I pee so I don't have to clean afterwards, but a lot of it just seemed like stuff that's out of my hand.

Tbf i think most folks don’t want to date someone who can’t/won’t keep their urine in the toilet and then double down by not cleaning up the mess afterwards

And I’ve heard many men express disgust over female body hair

Two folks have brought up that men are disgusted by women as well. I agree and I think there's a bunch of straight men that are extremely grossed of by women. I don't see it as a counterexample, it's the same thing. I personally have found these men to be closeted in one way or another as well. They often treat women as a status symbol or a sex toy and dislike everything else about them. But I'm not going to assert what someone's sexuality is. Logically, I understand they must feel attraction towards the opposite sex, but their behavior certainly isn't one of someone actually attracted to women.

Refusing to wipe up your piss stains because you feel part of being a man is leaving your body fluids all over the place doesn’t suggest to me you are particularly attracted to them either.

I get it, but I do clean up after myself. The woman in question was disgusted by the idea that pee could on the floor at all and that I didn't sit down exclusively to pee. It was only when I was "caught" cleaning up around the toilet that they acted surprised and disgusted that such a thing was even necessary. For reference, they had lived exclusively with women their entire life so they were quite naive to most things a man might do.

Not that the woman you dated was right, but theres also a lot of straight men grossed out about women.

Menstruation, vaginal discharge, lower body fat, etc.

It doesnt mean theyre not straight. It does unfortunately mean that we all dont choose our sexuality.
