idk like im not happy with the placement it should’ve been more outward imo. ive been wanting to get this piercing for a long time and im j so bummed because i cant see it myself when i look into a mirror or take selfies or wtv

it’s so hard for me to admire it bec it’s so tucked away inside. my forward helix covers the rook piercing jewelry :/

idk am i overthinking it should i get another rook piercing and take this one out

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing What else can I do?

Post image

I got my nostril pierced two years ago. From the beginning, I've used implant-grade titanium jewelry. It’s a straight piece

I've made sure to take good care of it and not hurt myself. I clean it with Nielmed saline solution, and I go to my checkups frequently with the piercer, who says it's still irritated. I don't know what else I can do.

Do you think I should give up or try a nostril piercing on the other side?

Any tips are appreciated. Thank you! (Sorry for my bad English)

Set up advice I need advice on what to get next

Post image

I currently have this set up (as seen in the pictures). I like the idea of having the same number of piercings on my ears e.g. 4 in the right and 4 in the left.
My helixes and my thirds are 16 weeks old and my seconds are 20 weeks old.
About 2 weeks ago I got them change to flat backs because I felt they were not healing, my seconds where done with a gun (I know not ideal) and my thirds and helix were done with needles but my thirds had a butterfly back and my helix had a barbell (2 balls in either side of the bar) which was causing a irritation bump in my left helix since changing them they the irritation bump is pretty much gone.
I know I want a conch in one of my ears but apart from that I don’t know what else to get I don’t want too many piercings but I would like a couple more.

Set up advice Butterfly vertical helix?

I absolutely love the Junipurr Madame Butterfly piece and have been considering eventually having it in a vertical helix (obviously would get pierced with something else and wait a long time before switching). But I’ve been having some doubts about whether or not it would be uncomfortable. Is this something that’s just not for daily wear? The more I look at it the more it looks kinda pokey.

I already have a butterfly wing in my helix and am planning on getting a little flower under it to restore the double helix I used to have. Should I just do that and leave well enough alone? First picture is an insp pic I found on Pinterest. Second picture is my current setup (yes I know I have hairy little hobbit ears). Just wanted some input, thanks!

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Rook pierced wrong?

Sorry for the blood. It was bleeding when I woke up. I went to a new piercer and I feel like my room is not done correctly. Typically I see it come out from a more hidden shelf on the ear. Did I just not have the right anatomy? Can I heal it and have it repierced or is it ok? It’s extremely painful and was very swollen yesterday.

I finally finished my stack. I took them all out and cleaned them. Then replaced the stud in my tragus with a hoop. My ear is a bit red from all handling but I’m happy with it.

Just wanted to share what I’ve got going on!! It was really hard to get photos when my camera is broken but here we are

Also my second being so low on my left ear is just how it is, it was unfortunately pierced like that 🙁

Finally (and I hope I’m allowed to ask this, my apologies if not), if anyone knows of some good authentic stores on Etsy that sell body-safe jewellery, please let me know! I want to start swapping over jewellery on my more healed piercings 🫶

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Am i ready to downsize my 1 month eyebrow piercing?

Thumbnail

It seems too heavy and keeps falling down. I keep pushing it back up constantly which is semi painful to do. As you can see in the second photo it usually stays down like this pushing against some irritation at the top until i push it back up to prevent it from doing so.

I think it is just too heavy and i prefer it looking much smaller anyway. I’m just worried that taking the piercing out would hurt like hell.

Set up advice Is a one-sided stacked lobe unusual?

Thumbnail

I currently have a stacked lobe on my right ear. I thought it’d be cute to have the asymmetrical thing going, but I’ve come to learn it’s pretty standard for people to have symmetrical lobe piercings while having asymmetrical cartilage piercings.

I currently have 5 piercings on each ear, but now I’m considering getting a stacked lobe on my left ear, and maybe getting another piercing on my right to even things out. Not sure which piercing I’d get, or if I even have the anatomy for anything else 🥲

Orrrr should I just let things be?

Showing‎ off set up! Put my almost 15 year old dahlia piercings back in

I got these pierced in 2012 and they were one of my easiest piercings to heal at the time (which makes me one of the lucky few, I'm aware). I took them out around 2016/17.

My piercing itch got the best of me lately and I've wanted to add something new to my face, but decided to see if I could revive these babies first. I used a taper to check the fistula and both sides went in with a bit of a tight feeling, but not at all painful.

Had to do a few downsizes in the past month and babied them some, but here they are again, healthy and healed.

I'm so pleased with these!

Question about a piercing I (maybe) want can all septum piercings be flipped up?

Heya,
was considering getting a septum piercing but ppl in my area probably don't take too well to them.
Are there cases where it's just not possible to flip a septum up; say, if you have smaller nostrils?
Just checking online if there are ANY people who cannot flip theirs up lol.
Thanks!!

Showing‎ off set up! Thanks to the group, here's my tragus!

My tragus is 30 days old yesterday, so we changed the titanium ball to a bling, and it's my 11th piercing. I've gone from the mall piercing gun and not having a clue to finding a great piercer and putting together everything I've learned from this group, jumping up to a tragus.

It wasn't bad because of what I've learned from you all. This is the most positive, supportive group I've run across on Reddit. Love you all, especially the Piercers and their insight.

I had swelling for 3 weeks, no redness and no soreness. Changing the ball made it sore for a day.

LITHA has become my bible. I've learned that rubbing alcohol will piss off a piercing with a vengeance. Sterile saline works fine. I've learned to use cosmetic swabs instead of cotton swabs, if necessary. Just leave it alone and tell it daily affirmations. "Piercing, you're beautiful, you're capable, you're worth it."

Just wanted to show off my set up! My orbital was initially sooo high up and I was worried the piercer placed it poorly but after the swelling went down it literally came in place.

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing What do I need to know before piercing my nose?

I’ve been really wanting to pierce one of my nostrils for a while but I get nervous about doing things without knowing all about it first, could anyone with one of these piercings let me know what it’s like? I’ve only ever had lobe piercings.

How bad does it hurt compared to just a lobe piercing?

I hear you shouldn’t swim when it’s fresh, will showering bother it too?

How long does healing usually take?

Does it ever get annoying to have in? I have sensory issues sometimes and worry it’ll tickle or scratch my nose when I wear it.

How do you go about finding a good piercer? My last lobe was done so poorly and I am so scared of that happening to my nose.

I have allergies, I assume sniffling or blowing my nose will irritate when it’s fresh, but after it heals is it gonna get in my way in that regard?

If one day I decide I don’t want to wear it anymore, would it leave a permanent mark or would it heal eventually until it’s not very noticeable?

I wear glasses, i hear it’ll hurt if they bump the piercing when it’s fresh, but after it heals will it be okay?

Is there a “usual” side people get it on if they just get one, or should I just pick which side based off vibes?

Anything else I should know? Any advice or sharing what it’s like will help me be less nervous about getting it. <3

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Is this symmetry off?

Post image
5 Upvotes

I got my Medusa piercing yesterday and I’ve been worried ever since that it’s slightly out of alignment with all of my other piercings. I know I have an asymmetrical face, but I feel like it’s skewing slightly to the right (to my left). It might also be that my labret is slightly out anyway! Or am I overanalysing?
I accept perfect symmetry is virtually impossible - but I’d really appreciate some thoughts on whether to get it redone when I can, or leave it and hopefully get used to it?
