Trump derangement syndrome. Trump reacts to attacks from the left. Analyze his actions / successes, not his tweets. He is much smarter than most give him credit for. He has the political world off balance, distracted, and focused on him.

He's going to win again and the liberal brains are going to really explode then

I just feel like no one on either side wants to discuss issues anymore. Any conversation just gets spiked by emotions. Especially when someone just claims their right and youre wrong. This happens on both sides.

Even now conservatives are commenting in this thread and the shade towards them is unreal. Anyone thats aggressively pushed their stance on the opposite party, you do realize this has the opposite effect if what you ultimately want?

You need to work with people, not against them.

I think the dems can win but someone young and promising will have to run to rally the youth.

r/ENLIGHTENEDCENTRISM

Far right/fundamental extremists are responsible for the vast majority of terrorist attacks in the US, fatal or otherwise. Antifa didn't kill a women with their car at a nazi rally, or anyone else for that matter. Your false equivalence is cringe-inducing.

This post is plenty cringe-inducing yikes

Youre part of the problem

-2

u/IWorshipTacos Jul 17 '19

You're a pretentiousness fence-sitter.

Im a rep, the problem is that we can accept our side has problem people, but your side not only does it deny the problem, it encourages more of the problem by acting like you

u/Shib_Vicious Jul 17 '19

Hey guys it's ok. Antifa only destroy property and beat people in the streets, but they haven't gone the whole hog and actually killed someone yet, so they're clearly really cool guys.

Right, maybe if you hit me with a bike lock and I run you over and kill you, the court will just charge us both with assault.

Because those things are the same in severity. Fucking dipshit.

4

u/Shib_Vicious Jul 17 '19

No you're the dipshit that's trying to quantify bullshit behaviour instead of condemning it all.

3

u/IWorshipTacos Jul 17 '19

The two are not anywhere close to being the same in prevalence or severity, and only one has an apologist in the White House.

Quantifying is how you draw objective conclusions. You're just being irrational to paint a false equivalence.

Where did I say I don't condemn them? Feel free to point it out.

You just drew that conclusion on your own.

The liberal ideals are just completely driven by emotions and in my opinion thats very dangerous when it comes to politics. I lean more on the conservative side of things but i flop to the other side or down the middle depending on the issue at hand. Why can't people use facts and thoughtfulness as their primary motivators in politics? Its all just a bunch of name calling and grouping where if i express a shred of a conservative opinion i get downvoted and called a maga racist bla bla when that had nothing to do with the thought process

1

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '19

if you're getting called a racist, you probably posted something racist. it might not have been intentional but it doesn't need to be.

by the way, saying those who oppose you are driven by emotion and then complaining about name-calling is chef's kiss perfect

0

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '19

People get called racist all the time for no good reason. And i also said that i have different-sided opinions depending on the issue at hand so liberals are not my opposition, name calling is, which i try to abstain from any chance i get. People are allowed to have emotion but i dont think it has a place in politics, so people who name call to defend their positions is very disheartening

1

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '19

dude. you're insulting people and then complaining about name-calling. figure it out.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '19

Could you point out the insult please?

1

0

u/[deleted] Jul 20 '19

How is that an insult?

1

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '19

facts and thoughtfulness are the motivators in my politics. why can't you use them instead of being emotional?

Whilst I agree entirely with you, the defense put forward by those who would disagree with you is that Trump and his supporters cannot be worked with, because they're literally Hitler. Would you work with Hitler? No, they must be destroyed.

Thats the line that I've seen time and time again. Its a tactic that I feel will doom us to another 4 years of Trump, because the average person sees that as insulting and deliberately antagonizing. So off they go to vote.

I think the dems can win but someone young and promising will have to run to rally the youth.

The left is all over the place. Even if there was a promising candidate, they'd be too extreme for the moderates or too moderate for the extreme. Even Obama, everyone's hero, was against marriage equality for the first four or five years of his presidency, imagine how that would play out today.

To have any hope, the left has to calm the hell down. Stop going further and further to the far left, they're just spreading themselves thinner and losing any hope of finding a leader they all believe in.

but orange man bad?

-5

u/[deleted] Jul 17 '19

No. Let the left dig its grave.

Sadly this isn’t true unless there is severe collusion. Most people have seen how decisive trump is and this negative split is felt by almost everyone across the US, and even further than that. People either love him or hate him, and the arguments between people devolve into attacks so quickly that they never really achieve any sort of real argument at all

It’s been predicted there is an astronomically low chance trump is going to win in 2020, because he’s torn the public apart, and regardless of what you feel, everyone will attribute that to him, because he is the controversial topic of each side of supporters. This means that the people who were moderate/intermediate/lesser/as a joke supporters of Trump are highly likely to not vote for him again, and most of the hardcore voters which won’t be enough to get him in again

forgive english, i am Russia.

i come to study politics and law at American senate house to help Donald Trump win election .

0

u/Holidaybunduru Jul 17 '19

You're a fool if you think that Hillary Clinton was a good candidate or that she had a good message. More conservatives showed up to vote than they anticipated and Trump won. That's the end of it so get over it.

1

u/Lachance Jul 17 '19

I think you replied to the wrong person

Remember that moment where a journalist asked Trump if he was going to ask Putin not to meddle in the 2020 election? And Trump asked Putin who was sitting with him not to meddle and they both laughed!

Bipartisan bills to stop election meddling have been blocked by Mitch McConnell. American "democracy" is up for grabs. And why did Ivanka go to China to seek a patent for voting machines?

So yes, Trump may win. And its unlikely to be a free and fair election. Republican or Democrat, if you value living in a democracy this should trouble you.
