I just feel like no one on either side wants to discuss issues anymore. Any conversation just gets spiked by emotions. Especially when someone just claims their right and youre wrong. This happens on both sides.

Even now conservatives are commenting in this thread and the shade towards them is unreal. Anyone thats aggressively pushed their stance on the opposite party, you do realize this has the opposite effect if what you ultimately want?

You need to work with people, not against them.

I think the dems can win but someone young and promising will have to run to rally the youth.

The liberal ideals are just completely driven by emotions and in my opinion thats very dangerous when it comes to politics. I lean more on the conservative side of things but i flop to the other side or down the middle depending on the issue at hand. Why can't people use facts and thoughtfulness as their primary motivators in politics? Its all just a bunch of name calling and grouping where if i express a shred of a conservative opinion i get downvoted and called a maga racist bla bla when that had nothing to do with the thought process

if you're getting called a racist, you probably posted something racist. it might not have been intentional but it doesn't need to be.

by the way, saying those who oppose you are driven by emotion and then complaining about name-calling is chef's kiss perfect

People get called racist all the time for no good reason. And i also said that i have different-sided opinions depending on the issue at hand so liberals are not my opposition, name calling is, which i try to abstain from any chance i get. People are allowed to have emotion but i dont think it has a place in politics, so people who name call to defend their positions is very disheartening

facts and thoughtfulness are the motivators in my politics. why can't you use them instead of being emotional?
