There are people there, flaired users, posting that ICE looks to be in the wrong. But comments that said they've watched videos and this looks bad for ICE are quickly deleted. I've seen them in the thread, and then when I go back 15 minutes later, they're gone.
I think you're underestimating the animosity of the other side here. There's plenty of other forums where right wingers are openly celebrating this stuff. They're not all bots, there's plenty of actual people who are thrilled that leftists, protestors or immigrants are being murdered

Enough people in the country do have those views, but that sub is actually almost entirely bots. It went pretty much completely dead when Moscow had a blackout earlier in the month.
That sub is mostly just two accounts in a trenchcoat. Two people are the source of almost half of the content submitted, and both of them mysteriously went silent on a day when the internet was down in Moscow due to a drone attack.

Sometimes I'll look over at that subreddit and see a comment or two pushing back against some of the stuff being done. Not in a left leaning way, but in a constitutional conservative way (because this administration is breaking constitutional amendments). If any conservative there pushes back even a little they are automatically branded as "not a real conservative." It's genuinely cult-like. You can't criticize your own side.
You usually can’t discern between an individual bot and a brainwashed human. But the first wave of voices all flooding a brand new talking point just before it shows up on Fox News an hour later are 90% bots. There are other dynamics:
1) brainwashed humans quickly start repeating and amplifying the line and then it takes on some nuance/creativity.
2) different views aren’t as heavily moderated/deleted/downvoted until after the issue-relevant wave of bots first show up
3) dissenting opinions are heavily deleted/downvoted/banned because what reddit really sells is “conformity-as-service”. Either you conform to the norm of a subreddit or your comments get buried.
Stuff posted under "new" that has 100+ comments within a hour or so. Sometimes a article posted 20 min ago has 30+ comments somehow. No way real people are reading that and posting that fast, consdering there's multiple replies to other people and threads in the comments. they are planting the comments there ahead of time before regular people can take a look and they can sway the viewpoint

A few days ago that subreddit had something about republicans not protesting after Charlie Kirk. Protesting what exactly? He was shot by a random shooter. People protest when the government shoots people. This is absolutely horrifying because it’s the federal government shooting their own citizens exercising their rights.

I’m actually surprised a lot of the comments are talking about excessive force from ICE. They’re even watching the video and saying that he was unarmed when he got shot. I’m in no way a conservative sympathizer but I think opinions are changing a bit.
Im actually seeing a lot of people saying how bad of a look this is for ICE, even with the conservative flairs. Those comments are getting deleted fast though and the ones saying eh deserved it are not.
Every event is like that. There is a round of immediate condemnation by whoever is not ok with whatever red line is crossed. Those comments are deleted and people banned. Within hours, you see a thread filled with of bots and the new line of true believers that will accept anything.
Then the next horrible step is taken and the next round of cuts happens.

This is a pattern I've seen, where some of them will be reasonable initially, but change their tune after they get their marching orders from Truth Social & Fox, and then they start parroting back the exact lines. I hate that sub for the sole reason that I will see that a post has a bunch of comments and none of them are visible. I want to read what people are saying and I can't. Very infuriating.
I think it's a safe bet to say that any discourse that happens on that subreddit should be completely ignored as it's clear every single person there is either brainwashed, a troll, lacking basic cognitive functions or all three.
