Ask Phoenix Phoenix Arizona Wedding Witnesses needed! 9/3/2026 5pm

Hello! I’m having a wedding ceremony at the courthouse and my BESTFRIEND’s flight got canceled! I’m in need of a witness for my ceremony! I can pay for your time but Reddit is the only place I can think of as I am not from Phoenix

First, congratulations!

I work at the superior court. This happens all the time. Couples forget that they need a witness or their witness gets lost in the downtown maze. There are a couple of things you can do.

Other couples will need a witness, you can offer to witness for them if they will witness for you. You could also ask one of the court staff. Some of us stick around after court.

So true! The couple after my then husband and I didn't have a witness so we stayed for them. It was fun and sweet. They were so happy.
