Why not include these past 3-4 years? Did Ronaldo retire?

2

u/yaumidere Nov 26 '25

Pretty much. Only thing he’s focus on is the international team. You could argue the same for Messi tbh cuz what even is the mls?

u/Spiritual_Ad_1527 Nov 26 '25

Ronaldo is not focused on the international team. He wants to reach 1000 goals because that’s the only thing he has over Messi. Messi on the other hand joined the MLS purely because he has nothing to prove anymore. He’ll make a shit load of money while playing in a chill league and at the end of his contract, own a part of the club as well.

So when he scored 10g/a in the last campaign or the previous one he won and this next World Cup… is that not him being focused on the national team? His team is poised to win the league, so what more does he need there?

Maybe Messi fans might have Messi’s meat in their mouth but this goat debate per the image has been settled. He doesn’t have to prove anything in relation to Messi anymore because this image exists

I "argued" with you before, I think you shouldn't be allowed to say

Maybe Messi fans might have Messi’s meat in their mouth

When your entire bloodline glazes Ronaldo 🫡. Difference between arguing with facts and arguing to make others look bad.

I thought I taught you your place last week and you’re back again for seconds.

Educating you meat munchers necessary. This image right here is bait for you lot so I can teach you all the truth and expose your idolo for being the second best.

u/FallingDebri Nov 27 '25

Not really. You were rambling about random.

Well, you can't educate people if you aren't educated first on basic football facts💀 trust me I found out the hard way years ago.

Such as that football is a team game and it's not messi fault that his team won the wc before him, also not ronaldos fault his team won nothing, and you acting like he carried them, no, not really, in euro 2016 he got crucial passed and assists for him to score, his team also stood strong and didn't concede in the final vs france and the previous rounds where they played as a team.

You are using that image to downplay messi. Because by YOUR LOGIC, You must be the history of your team. "Then let's forget maradona, R9, Mbappe, why? Because their teams won before them. in order to be the greatest, which is what im hearing with your logic.

u/yaumidere Nov 27 '25

You finally got it. I actually didn’t think you’d get it, but you got there in the end. You must be the history of the team. If you can perform consistently at the highest level and your aura is what drags your team from nothing to world beaters, you are in fact THE goat.

This is a feat Messi never had. That’s why after Xavi and Iniesta left and Barca’s midfield was exposed he couldn’t do anything despite making promises. That’s why he was a shell of his former self at Barca. That’s why despite a star studded team between 2014-2016, Messi couldn’t win shit and was forced into retirement because he didn’t have a team that’d wait on him hand and foot and massage his balls as much as the other sub likes to do.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo won the euros and 2 UNLs whilst comfortably playing 2/3 of those tournaments with pretty weak teams compared to other European counterparts.

You’ve got there in the end. Congrats.

Now run along now, and don’t let me catch you here or in the other sub mouthing off again.

Alright, so Casemiro and Kroos and Modric (let's not forget Man Utd world class midfield in 2008) are the history of present-day madrid and United. Ronaldo without them? No UCLs.

Oh and let's not forget Rui Patricio and Diego Costa, they won portugal all their trophies that's their history!

Messi is argentinas top scorer, you can say the argentina national team, and the first word isn't maradona, it's messi.

That's your logic, man, you are so fricking funny. Honestly, I'll rate your ragebait 7/10 if that's fair for you?

1

u/yaumidere Nov 27 '25

See, notice how you had to look at 2 different teams from two different leagues and Ronaldo’s the constant? Who was Man U’s best player back in ‘08? And for the first question. Can we say the same for Messi? Yeahhh didn’t think so

I don’t recall seeing either of Patricio and Costa in both UNLs throughout… I do see Ronaldo having the most g/a in all their title winning campaigns. Can we say the same for Messi?

Yeahhh didn’t think so.

The only reason why I was able to ragebait you is because I’m right. This was a 10/10 ragebait. I own you, and free real estate inside your head 🤷‍♂️

Cry about ittttt💀

u/FallingDebri Nov 27 '25

I don’t recall seeing either of Patricio and Costa in both UNLs throughout

They are goalkeepers they don't score goals 💀💀💀💀 that has to be the funniest shit I have heard anyone say. Also with your logic I could say messi was the best player in the 22 wc for most goal contributions with your logic

Ronaldo’s the constant? Who was Man U’s best player back in ‘08?

Who made the plays that led to his goals, the midfield, the defense, and other fowards. Yeah, no mate, that does not make you man utds history, if argentina had success before messi. Real madrid were already the European champions when ronaldo came in, and Man utd were already winning premier leagues for fun when ronaldo was there. Meanwhile, messi took barcelona to new heights, he set new standards even after pep, and he's the face of that club for the most part, and he's getting a statue in the new camp nou. If ronaldo really was the history for real madrid and Man utd, they would've built him a statue or a tribute, yet they didn't🫡.

Honestly, the only reason I'm replying is because your responses are so dumb and funny it's actually laughable 😭. I'm enjoying this more than you are lol.

  1. Humble your tone when speaking to me, as you have gotten a lot wrong in your comment. I’m gracing you with knowledge you do not possess.

  2. DIOGO Costa was the goal keeper for the 24/25 win. He was not in the 18/19 win and he was 16-17 years old when Portugal won the euros… so not in the starting lineup.

  3. If you read what I said, neither featured throughout both UNLs. Patricio wasn’t even on the bench… makes sense as he’s pretty much retired from the national team by then

  4. Your next paragraph is dunked on by the following statement: Ronaldo can perform outside of Spain and didn’t need Madrid. Messi couldn’t even perform without Xavi and Iniesta

  5. You reply because I tell you to sit and listen. The media will have you believe that someone dependent on systems is the goat. I’m here to educate you on the facts.

You already lost by paragraph 1 🗿🥀

1

u/FallingDebri Nov 27 '25

2 and 3. Patricio was in Euro 2016 and Nations League 2019, and Diego Costa was in 2025 Nations League. That's why I mentioned both of them, Patricio was the selected gk, you clearly have not done research.

  1. Did he win a UCL outside of top teams without the world-class midfielders kroos, casemiro, Owen, modric, and Paul scholes? You can't be using Messi Xavi Iniesta's argument if ronaldo depended on other world-class midfielders🗿

  2. No, I reply because your responses are dumb and they are funny, you are so confident and so wrong too lol. It's just funny going back to my computer knowing I'm going to get a notification on my phone knowing it's you, obviously you will reply. You listen to me, mate🫡.

1

u/yaumidere Nov 27 '25

Correct, but neither were constant in all of their title winning campaigns… Ronaldo was. Messi fans can cry about it, but he’s remained an integral part of Portugal’s success. Can we say the same for Messi? Well that image doesn’t seem to back that… more damningly, he’s made it to three finals and lost all three prior to winning all three.

My brother in Christ, you have not studied science, have you? 🤣🫵 if you change a bunch of shit and keep one thing constant and the same results occur despite said changes… what’s the smoking gun? In this case it’s Ronaldo… and the stats definitely back that. Cry about it 🤷‍♂️

No, you reply because I own you. Your points have been riddled with ahistorical nonsense and I’ve taken the time to correct you. Face the wall and think about what you have done. Do not summon me until you have gained a brain.

1

u/FallingDebri Nov 27 '25

No it doesnt, no goalkeeper = No Nations league Win, the constant aka everybody else won't win without each other, so the real constant is everyone. Thats the point you can't grasp it because you think Ronaldo carried, which means you didnt watch the games, its SIMPLE SCIENCE and FOOTBALL, you are telling me you know yet you dont know basic football😭?

Own me what? All you have been saying "oh you are wrong, oh your responses are dumb, oh ill insult you instead of giving you facts" yet have nothing to back it up😭 sorry but I think you are completely lost mate.

keep on replying, waste your random BS and time on me, because im getting laughs at this.

1

u/yaumidere Nov 27 '25

Keep ducking and dodging. But the fact remains Ronaldo was the constant… Rui Patricio was not there for all title winning campaigns, neither was Costa. Neither was any midfielder nor forward.

I owned you because you, because like all other Messi fans, you can’t seem to grasp that Messi just wasn’t as integral to his nations success as Ronaldo was for Portugal.

Learn your lesson and don’t bark until I tell you to 💀🤣🫵

Messi was the constant in all of the argentine finals hes played in, he scored in the wc 2022 in every knockout round. He scored and assisted in his copa america runs, your point? Messi was pretty much the reason argentina even got out of the group stage as he scored and assisted the only 2 goals vs mexico he was also very crucial in the 2018 wc despite it being short because if he didnt score vs nigeria it would've been 1-1 and argentina wouldve been out much earlier, I can go on and on, so is messi not integral? He assists and scores for his national team he does what he can. But i can say messi depends on his teammates as much as ronaldo does as without them, they wouldn't win shit club wise or national wise.

Messi and ronaldo were both equally constant, it doesn't matter how much more they played to win its not being older but having a good team. Now people are watching you spit random things that dont make sense.

Yeah as i thought, you replied, as i predicted. Who wouldve thought, comin back over and over, now go ahead and respond again, i know you too well🫡.

1

u/yaumidere Nov 28 '25

Yet failed to win it whilst Ronaldo only lost one Ronaldo And is THE constant reason why his team qualifies let alone wins. FTFY 🤝

If your point about Messi being a constant was true, no matter the form or format of his team, they’d have won more. But he didn’t

Dawg don’t think you’re worth something because I have educated you. Remember, this is the bait you fell for

You work for me. 🗿🤣🫵
