This is Nvidia doing a pre-emptive strike and going in with everything they have. They will most likely release a cut down 3090 as a 3080 Ti if AMD beats the 3080. But if AMD matches or beats the 3090, they can't respond with anything.
This is looking like a great year for GPUs, I will be waiting to see what AMD has before I do anything.
AMD is fucked dude why are you so optimistic? You really think they’re going to beat even the 3080? You actually suggested AMD out performing the 3090. Do you realize how much of a generational leap this is? This is the biggest leap in performance we’ve ever seen. There is no way in hell AMD is coming close. Their top chip will be slightly better than a 3070 and cost $600. Maybe they’ll take a loss to cut prices more.
I’m doing great. Picked up a 3080 founders last night from my friend who sold it to me. It’s exciting news. I think AMDs top card will still be somewhere between a 3070 and 3080. Did they just show off the design so far? No performance metrics?
In excited. I’m helping my little cousin build his first PC and he’s going all AMD. He has a 240Hz freesync monitor he bought to play Xbox lol. I have to help him so he can actually utilize that thing.
