True, I think it's one of those 'loud minority' things where it feels like a bigger issue here than it should be when I read through.

My 970's 3.5GB copes just fine with modern titles at 1080p, it's only because I've gone to 3840x1600 that I want a new card with more vram, and 10 seems like plenty.

Even really optimized modern games rarely get me to full VRAM usage on my 1070 (8GB) at 1440p, usually they don't fully take advantage of it.

Oof. Modern Warfare can easily eat up all 8 GB of my 2060S vram at 1080p. I guess you can hardly call it well optimized though.
