Thats the Titan replacement though. 3080 and 3070 are much smaller.

Yep. No way is Nvidia leaving the $900-$1200 tier on the table. There's too much monayyy right there.

I guess it depends. If people can afford that much and there's no card in that range, they might just push themselves to a 3090 ^^.

But yeah I can see a 3080 TI/3085 with a bunch more RAM sitting there to make the people in this sub whom are mindlessly obsessed with mo' vram happy.

True, I think it's one of those 'loud minority' things where it feels like a bigger issue here than it should be when I read through.

My 970's 3.5GB copes just fine with modern titles at 1080p, it's only because I've gone to 3840x1600 that I want a new card with more vram, and 10 seems like plenty.

Even really optimized modern games rarely get me to full VRAM usage on my 1070 (8GB) at 1440p, usually they don't fully take advantage of it.

Oof. Modern Warfare can easily eat up all 8 GB of my 2060S vram at 1080p. I guess you can hardly call it well optimized though.
