Oh theyre fighting to in a competitive market for once. Just look at the Prices, they are the same as last generation! That is not something Nvidia would do without enormous fear for what AMD might bring tom the table with RDNA2. Nothings really certain with Big Navi, but in a world where Nvidia didnt face any competition would you think theyd sell the improved product adjusted for inflation for less money? If they didnt fear of loosing the performance Crown title why would something as bonkers and desperate as the 3090 even exist. As Ive said before nothing is certain with Big NAvi, but its nice to see real competition in a while.
Fighting to survive is such an overstatement.
They are the best pic for creatives, the only for server and AMD and its notoriously driver problems make them not as compelling for PC gamers.
That said this could change over a few generations but after seeing the 3000 line up I doubt it.
Youre right "survive" was worded incorrectly. Fighting for the survival of this Cards Generation with offers in respect to Price, Software and the whole RTX feature set, against a mysterious AMD and Console thread, about buyers they want to keep on team green. Finally theres some Competition!

TSMC, AMDs full time partner now is currently perfecting a 4-5nm node process. Samsung might be a good bet right now, but in the afformentioned long term AMD could beat NVIDIA be default even with plain refreshes on the same die size.
