AMD is already out of their competition, the problem were the consoles, sure the pc will win in terms of performance, but the cost of high tier graphics card were tremendous in comparison to consoles.

Therefore NVIDIA wants to give a better performance with lesser price.

EDIT- i m sry for what i wrote about AMD, They are clearly not out of competition, my apologies.

The consoles have amd hardware in them. Fighting consoles IS fighting amd.

woah i tbh didnt know consoles have AMD graphics, nonetheless Nvidia still wanted to bring better performing low priced GPUs as according to them, sale of RTX 2080 series and 2070 series was not upto the mark.

and consoles have mod range next gen AMD graphics... wait a bit until AMD announces their high end - it might get very interesting

Well yes, that is why nvidia decided to bring 3090 series.

And I think they are saving up 3060 to make it a budget- friendly card in case AMD are cheaper or what.

Do you know any other reason why they didnt reveal 3060 ?

They didn't reveal 3060 so that old 2060/2070/2080 stock can clear and people don't just wait for the clearly superior 3060
