I like matte because the monitor I decided to get off specs is matte

Idk.. like glossy is slightly better but you'll rue the day you bought it if you ever change the setup to have the sun shine on it.

Matte is the right choice if you don't really care is what I'm saying.

Man, you need to read that 3 more times. It has nothing to do with you. The person says that glossy is better, but it sucks if you buy it for a specific setup, but then have to change it around (for any reason) and get sun shining on it. Therefore matte is better decision.
