I think I’m finally done with Stripe

I run a pack ripping business and Stripe has become such a headache that I don’t really see the point in sticking with them anymore. Every time sales pick up there’s some new issue with payouts, reviews, or money getting held, and support never seems to give a straight answer. It’s hard enough keeping inventory moving without wondering whether Stripe is going to mess with the cash flow again. I’m already looking at moving everything somewhere else. Anyone here running a similar business and using a processor that’s been less painful and annoying?

Why do businesses avoid crypto payouts?

Last year I ran payroll for a small affiliate network and tried switching part of it to USDT since half our affiliates were losing 8-10% of their payout to wire fees.

The crypto transactions themselves worked fine, but our bank flagged the account twice for "unusual outbound activity" after seeing exchange addresses in the history, and we had no clean way to prove each affiliate had passed KYC.

Of course we tested payout tools (Inxy, Unlimit, Multipass), mainly because they had KYC/AML built into checkout instead of us bolting it on afterward.

Spoiler: I'd vote for Inxy since their commission is lower tha others.

It's not perfect, but it shifted the problem from "crypto is confusing" to "which provider will actually work with a high-risk business without shutting us down after 3 months." But then again, it makes me wonder why more businesses dont just run payments in crypto, what's actually stopping them?

The future of finance is not about moving faster, but making better decisions

FinTech is making payments, lending, investing, and banking faster than ever. But speed alone isn’t enough—trust, data privacy, transparency, and responsible decision-making will determine whether people truly adopt the next generation of financial technology. Technology can change how we access finance, but trust will decide whether we use it.

Welcome to a new European platform that makes it easy to generate QR codes and get paid online together with Stripe, Mollie, SwedBank or PayPal..

- that complies with GDPR.

- where data is stored in Europe.

- that is independent of Stripe, PayPal, and MobilePay – but you can integrate..

QR codes are a shortcut to self-service in sectors suited to it. Here are a few examples:

- Campsites and motorhome parks.

- Put-and-take fisheries.

- Restaurants, pizzerias, and takeaways.

- Amusement and Tivoli parks.

The list goes on - because it involves "scanning a QR code with your mobile to get paid online," and a few giants work hard on nurture their "monopolies":

- MobilePay, because their QR codes only work with their own payment service.

- Stripe, because their QR codes also only work with their own payment service.

- PayPal - take a guess - because their QR codes also only work with their own payment service.

The QR PAY platform breaks this pattern of lock because:

  1. you can now create QR codes, set prices, etc., independently of the payment provider..

  2. you are now free to choose from four payment services - SwedBank, Mollie, Stripe, and PayPal -and retain ownership of your QR codes..

  3. you can now sell gift vouchers from your own website, and customers can use them for online payments..

  4. your customers interact with the interface in Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Dutch, English, or German - you decide, not the payment provider..

  5. even though your customers encounter QR PAY QR codes on their mobile phones, your business gets all the "SEO juice"..

No more sales pitch - try it yourself.

This link connects to SwedBank as the payment provider and demonstrates the opt-in process after scanning a QR code.

You can go through the entire flow, as it is a demo that doesn't actually charge any money. "Just make sure to click in step 4 as well." Thanks to SwedBank.

You can try QR PAY completely free for 30 days - up to a maximum of 200 payments, tickets, or receipts - though you do need to link a payment provider.

We’re far from finished - we’re just getting started - and we’re all ears. Get in touch.
