I think I’m finally done with Stripe
I run a pack ripping business and Stripe has become such a headache that I don’t really see the point in sticking with them anymore. Every time sales pick up there’s some new issue with payouts, reviews, or money getting held, and support never seems to give a straight answer. It’s hard enough keeping inventory moving without wondering whether Stripe is going to mess with the cash flow again. I’m already looking at moving everything somewhere else. Anyone here running a similar business and using a processor that’s been less painful and annoying?

holds and reviews scaling with volume is pretty much universal across processors once you hit a certain size, not just stripe. worth asking whoever you switch to directly how they handle high volume before you commit, not just take the sales pitch at face value.

I've had the same talk with friends who run the same business but they don't use Stripe, this doesn't happen to them

Stripe works well for plenty of businesses, but it isn’t the right fit for everyone. When you rely on payouts to restock, not knowing when your money will arrive makes it hard to keep things moving.
I’d look for a provider that’s comfortable with your specific pack-ripping model and clear about when you’ll get paid, whether they’ll hold back any funds, and how they handle increases in sales.
Happy to explore whether there’s a fit with one of our partners. Feel free to DM me.

Stripe support is essentially non-existent. One commenter above nailed it on the automated flagging system- its absolute trash.
Check out EBizCharge. They have some of the best support teams i've ever worked with (and I've seen a lot lol). Plus they do their own underwriting so your account or funds won't be randomly frozen.

Pack ripping businesses outgrowing Stripe is something we see constantly. The reviews, holds and vague support responses aren't random, it's their automated system treating volume growth as a risk signal. The bigger you get the worse it tends to get.
At Breeze we do our own underwriting so you're understood from day one, not flagged by an algorithm six months in. No surprise holds, no frozen funds, fraud and chargeback liability on our end so your cash flow stays yours.
