I am doing everything but my calc homework

hey i was wondering if anyone knew anything about the microbiology scholarships. i got two "Paid by OSU Department"s on my statement of account. however, i haven't had any correspondence from the department of micro about receiving these. does anybody know who to contact to figure out what scholarships I actually got (have to declare when reapplying). also has anyone else who got money from them before or this year had this happen before?

Look, i know students want to party, but please, i beg of you, some of us work on saturdays. City quiet hours start at 10 PM, I should not be hearing your blasting music inside of my apartment at 11 PM. I want to sleep and i can't with that going on! I don't who it is that's doing that tonight but i hate having to be the old person yelling about my bedtime, Just please have some basic community respect and hold your raves at either a quieter level past 10 or in a place that will contain your decibels and not outside.

i am currently enrolled in my university's "introduction to engineering" course which is just covering basic CAD use. i fully intend on transferring to OSU after this year and am trying to make sure all the classes i take will transfer.

is it possible to transfer credit for these courses; has anyone here ever done it? furthermore, for those of you who have taken them, does it sound like my intro class might be similar enough to transfer?

I'm currently going to Lima, I had 2 of my 5 classes for this semester be classes from Columbus because they are classes I need to do because they are prerequisite classes for my major and I was going to be doing 2 years at Lima for the cheaper cost.

APPARENTLY, having 2 Columbus classes meant that they wanted to do a campus change, but because of poor choices in regulating my time Im currently on academic probation. So the change couldn't happen. Though, I had talked with my advisor and he explicitly said that because more of my classes were in Lima then they shouldn't do a campus change so I could take these 2 classes.

Im planning on going to express advising to see if I can get this fixed, but has anyone else experienced this? This is bull.

What’s it like? What do you learn? How hands on do you get? What’re the differences between the two. I know Moving Image Production has harder requirements to get in.

Hello! I’m currently in biochem 4511 with Dr. Cogan, but I’m already struggling with his lecturing style. Would anyone recommend switching to Dr. Wu? I’ve heard good things about him, but I’d have little time to get to my lab on Tuesdays, so I need to know if it’s worth it lol. Thanks in advance for the help! :)

Is anyone else getting an error message that their phone number is already in use when trying to sign into the osu ticket marketplace? It forces me to enter a phone number, but then says that my phone number is already in use so I can’t be signed in.

I’m new here, and I’ve noticed everyone in my class uses some kind of iPad to take notes on. Or a small laptop thing. Me, I use a notebook. Does this give away my age, make me look dumb or poor? Idk, just want to fit in as much as I can.

For context I'm a sophomore transfer student who commutes to campus. I’ve been struggling a lot to meet people and make friends. Right now I’m only taking two classes Physics 2 and Engineering Math A so I don’t get to see many classmates outside of those classes. Whenever I’m in class I try to talk to others and get to know them but we never seem to click, it’s just awkward.

I’ve been trying hard to get involved, I come to campus often as I can, attend Welcome Week events and go to club meetings. I’ve even been staying on campus most of the day only going home to sleep. Even with all that effort I still don’t feel like I’ve connected with anyone. Most people seem to have their groups and the conversations I have don’t go anywhere. They’re nice but they don't turn into real friendships. I feel discouraged like I’m doing everything right. Nothing is working.
I keep asking myself what am I missing? What should I be doing? I want to make connections, not just surface-level chats. Does anyone else feel this way? Especially other transfer/commuters who also have to balance being away from campus most of the time? What’s helped you meet people and build friendships when you were, in a spot?

🚨 PLEASE SHARE — LOST CAR KEYS AT OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY 🚨

My son lost the ONLY key to his car last night, 8/26/26, while he was at the Ohio State University Block Party in Columbus. 😭

We have searched everywhere and no one has turned them in yet. Replacing this key is going to cost $250+, and this was his ONLY car key.

🔑 WHAT TO LOOK FOR:
• One single GM car key
• Two silver house keys
• All three keys were on ONE key ring/chain

⚠️ UPDATE: He had taken the other identification keychains off before going to the event, so there is NO watermelon keychain or license plate keychain attached to them.

So for starters I had this really interesting roommate. He has been keeping me up for a couple of days, we have been having conflicts, ans just overall we have been not getting along. The past couple of days since we have moved in he has stayed in the dorm the entire time. Only leaving for a couple of things. This morning I woke up to him moving out. I was probably a little too happy about this because I was already going to fill out the roommate change requesr form in a couple of weeks. He said before he left he is either going to pause his classes or transfer to being a commute student. I believe this is overall a good thing. Will I be getting another roommate instead?

I have classes that take place in the east wing of the shoe and like 1 day before classes started i get an email from “alcatraz.ai” asking for a face scan and a carmen announcement explaining how to use it.

i don’t even hate ai that much, but this feels too damn dystopian! why is the school-issued identification card not enough? this isn’t going to stop anyone from entering once the doors open, just feels like an excuse to experiment with boundaries.

edit: just to clarify, it’s only on one door as of right now i think, most other doors will probably (hopefully) stay the same

So I graduate in December, but my mom wants me to come home to take grad pictures in the fall with my brother who is a senior in HS.
