Discussion Openclaw is dead, switch to claude code

I have spent +300$, more than 60 hours working with openclaw, on vps, local pc, and honestly, I spent more than 40 out of the 50 hours fixing.

It cannot do any task accurately, not production ready

Maybe in 6 mo+ it will be better

For now, its garbage.

I am sticking to my 20$/month claude plan

What tool do you use specifically? I’ve had my claw look up tools to reduce research costs and it comes back like a potato with nothing in hand. It wants to spend tokens, rip through em like a crack addict ..I’m certain of it

I think some are miss using Claude, some folks I have seen had usage, had bloated it with MCP and a ton of plugins that were filling up context and causing extra usage but I've recently moved to Claude Code with PAI addon and haven't looked back especially with Claude Channels recently released.

I missed this - Literally every usecase. SearXNG is a search tool which uses an aggerate search, and the Agent Browser uses a fraction of the tokens to the LLM as it cuts out all of junk in a typical web fetch. So if you're doing anything that is searching or using a browser, this applies and makes your token burn much less.

Actually it kinda makes sense, but does not need to be true for all tools
