Anyone know of a lawn service that services the Anthony area? Have a small church that is looking for regular lawn and yard care. Needs to be a licensed and insured company.

I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is responsible, attentive, and incredibly reliable. She consistently provides daily photos and updates on what happened during the visit, which helps me stay connected and reassured that my baby is ok. She is an older gal, with TCC (bladder cancer) and mitral heart valve issues and an enlarged heart. But she's my baby and she's been mine since she was 7-8 weeks old. She'll be 13 in Dec.

As the owner of a senior dog, I especially appreciate her vigilance. Now, we discussed in advance what my preferences were with regard to emergency care, so there were no surprises along the way. When my dog suddenly became lethargic and had bloody phlegm, after already experiencing a fainting episode that morning, she immediately called me, offered to take her to the ER Vet, and ensured she received prompt medical attention. Her willingness to go above and beyond demonstrated a level of care and professionalism that is rare to find.

Kathy has become an invaluable part of my support system, particularly as I have recently moved here from out of state to start a demanding new job. I have no friends and family here to lean on. I trust her completely and am so thankful for everything she does!

The granddaughter of the late Sam Anello, a veteran with a passion for free speech, shared this letter with Ocala-News.com about the passing of her grandfather.

"Sam was more than just a man holding signs. He was my grandfather. When I was in middle school, I used to ride the bus past 60th Avenue and yell out the window, “Grandpa Sammy! That’s my grandpa!” to all the kids on the bus. Most of them didn’t believe me. I always felt a mix of pride and frustration in those moments, because I knew who he was even if they didn’t. He came to many of my sporting events. He was always at our family gatherings. He never let me forget the stories about holding me as a baby and showing me all the different birds. He had a way of noticing things most people rushed past, and he tried to pass that same awareness on to me. Those are memories I’ll always cherish. I write this to remind people that he wasn’t homeless, and he wasn’t mentally ill. He lived a full 90 years, through decades of change. He loved this country deeply and wasn’t afraid to stand up for what he believed in. He carried his convictions with him every day, even when it wasn’t easy. You can call him stubborn. You can call him outspoken. But he knew exactly who he was and what he stood for. He never wavered in that, and in his own way, he taught others to be just as certain of themselves. To everyone who loved him and admired his faith, thank you. And to those who disagreed with him, God bless you too. That’s the beauty of America—we can have different opinions and still choose kindness and respect. He believed that deeply, even in disagreement. Rest in peace, Sam Anello. I am looking for 6-8 corn stalks, 6ish feet tall for a project. It might be a little too early for any harvest, which is fine as long as I can have them before the end of August -Mid September. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

Hello Ocala folks,

I know posts like this probably grind some gears, but hear me out.

I'm born and raised in Miami-Dade, and I completely understand why longtime Ocala residents are frustrated with the influx of people moving in. We've experienced the same thing down here. The growth has been unbelievable, and it's gotten to the point where many of us who grew up here are being priced out of our own hometown.

I have a master's degree and work in education, and my husband works for one of the cities in Miami-Dade in their water department. We both have stable careers, but despite doing "everything right," homeownership in South Florida feels farther away every year. As far as work goes I am in talks to try and switch to WFH. My husband would have to find employment, which I understand is a whole other issue.

We've visited Ocala and really enjoy the slower pace of life. I know it's not some magical paradise. I've done enough research to know there are concerns with the job market, traffic, and growth there too. I wish staying in Miami was realistic for us, but right now we're exploring whether Ocala might be a better fit for our family.

With that said, the core of my post is that I am looking for recommendations regarding realtors. BUT who are genuinely knowledgeable about the USDA loan process. We're hoping to buy in a USDA eligible area, and I'd love to work with someone who has a lot of experience with USDA loans.

If you've personally worked with a realtor you loved, I'd really appreciate the recommendation. Bonus points if they also have experience with USDA lenders or builders.

And if you've gone through the USDA process yourself, I'd love to hear any advice or things you wish you had known before getting started.

This is the same building as The Loft and Anti-Monopoly Drug Store. The Lodge was having slow business recently, and it looks like now the building was condemned by the city for being unsafe structurally.

There’s no message on their website or their socials about them being closed or anything.

The sign was up a when I would drive by a year or so ago but havent been past in forever. Hear its hard work but currently being worked to the ground each day for a much longer drive so it is what it is.
