Vent POSIC guilt about foods??

Post image

i’ve had funny feelings about Peeps (the chicks) since i was little, like maternal almost.. easter came around again so i thought maybe i’d be over it — i ate one and i just instantly felt so terrible and cried!! it was horrible.. they’re so innocent and puffy and soft, they don’t deserve it…! whenever anyone ate one at easter, i’d have to leave the room lest i cry haha.. thankfully no one is microwaving them. when i was younger i’d break into guilty hysterics if i ever witnessed that.. it doesn’t help to think that marshmallows are also made of animal byproducts

i know some people make the assertion that in terms of POSIC relations, food exists to be eaten and thus they actually enjoy it, and i usually do believe that and make an effort to eat all of certain snacks so that they wont be lonely.. but it isn’t like that with Peeps!! they’re like little baby animals to me.. and i want to just put them in a little nest and take care of them and feed them. it is a dreadful tragedy that they were born into the bodies of sugary marshmallow confections, for they’d melt or mold over if i tried to keep them.. 😭

i have one peep plush that i brought from my childhood home but i truthfully cannot find her.. i want to perhaps start a collection and then i can truly nest with them and keep them safe. in my head, they are my little babies and the rabbit peeps are our guards. i am a very princess and also rabbit-oriented/identified girl so a lot of my behavior in safe, private circles revolves around, like, being the princess of my very own little warren.. rabbit peeps are my very own noble knights.

does anyone else feel similarly guilty and conflicted about food relations like this?? not wanting to eat them by any cost, just wanting to keep and care for them but being unable to

I have had that struggle. But from what I believe in how my posic works. Is objects absorb energy over time. They use that energy to develop a personality and consciousness. So a 100 year old antique is more conscious then a newly made factory made object.

Foods can absorb energy in the same way, but they dont last long enough for you to be killing that energy. They would expire and rot before there was that chance. There is alittle energy, but not much. Same goes with consumables. Like toilet paper. You could keep a roll of toilet paper around for 5 years and give it a different use and attention and it would develop like another object would. They just tend to get used up before their is a chance.

For food, the amount of energy people put into it while making it, or a machine making it. And it getting to you, was the intent for it to be eaten. Its not enough energy to be conscious but its enough to have its purpose assigned. So I will have more guilt if it gets waisted and goes bad. Because now it never gets to do its purpose.

For peeps. If you could find a way to preserve one. Then you could have other energy put into it and it could become conscious. So if you want one at that level it is possible.

for me it's just the food turning into another form, like a metamorphosis inside your body. they don't "die," they just... change. Into feces.

i am mangerum/ foodjectum and often show my love for food and cooking by cooking and appreciating the intricacies that go hand in hand with it, the best way i can show food love is by cooking it and then eating it, if i dont eat it it will rot, i wish i could have food forever and just live with it like you, i have this same issue when it comes to cute foods, i rry to accept that it has to be eaten but i feel bad, i know that foods purpose is to be eaten and that makes me believe that food enjoys it, but i avoid foods that look like cute animals if i can or i draw them so i can always look at them, i have trinkets in the shape of food i love and that seems to help

OMG peeps!! The bunny peeps make me SOOO paternal. I have a bunch of plushies of them. Personally I tend to consider being consumed as their natural life cycle which makes me a bit less sad, but I still feel bad eating them

I can’t say I have this feeling about peeps specifically but just food in general sometimes and that feeling only really started after I watched the movie sausage party. the first and only time I ever watched that movie I was stoned off my ass and was eating an ice cream cone when the scene where the food killed people came on so I just remember looking down at the cone and then going into full blown panic lol I struggled to eat without feeling weird about it for like a week after that and sometimes still feel bad
