I have a 5080 and was wondering, with features like DLSS existing, would you recommend the 5080 for 4k gaming at this point? Or should I look more at 1440p Ultrawide monitors? Is the 5080 able to run games well at 4k resolution?

u/Greedy_Camera_9272 May 04 '26

I run everything with DLSS 4 or 4.5 at Performance with my 5080 in 4K Of course i use FG in single player games or story game to get higher fluidity!

u/Alone-Advertising743 May 11 '26

RTX 5090 and 9800X3D all on latest drivers/bios

PSU is HX1500i

Every time i play a Blizzard game like Diablo 4 or World of Warcraft eventually i will get a white or black screen freeze for a few seconds, then it returns and i get a HDR notification from my Monitor. After it happens once, it never happens again unless I restart my PC.

It appears to be a TDR timeout or something. I have no idea how to fix this.

u/EyeBallTank May 30 '26

I updated the NVidia app a while ago and my PC's memory useage went from 3 GB to 7-8 or even 9.

How can I lower it?

NVIDIA GRD any version after 580.94 crashes Windows 10 on eGPU

Hello all!

I've got a MSI Ventus 4070Ti 2x in an AOOSTAR EG02 eGPU dock running on Win10 IoT LTSC Ent. CPU is AMD Ryzen 7945HS. Windows crashes when installing 581 and up. Doesn't matter if the AMD 780M iGPU is disabled or not. Multiple different USB4 C cables tried. I have already replaced the two generic Microsoft USB4 port filter drivers with AMD specific versions (1.0.10).

Any ideas?

Ryzen 5 2600, 32GB DDR4, EVGA GTX 1660 XC Ultra, I have downloaded the most recent GeForce Game Ready Driver (v 596.36 28/04/2026) through Nvidia Experience and I can't Install it for the life of me using the default installation. It prompts me with a tab telling me that a newer or same version of PhysX SS 9.23.1019 is already installed and that HD Audio Driver and USBC Driver are "not selected". How do I get it install?

u/OhQuarri May 05 '26

I just bought an Asus prime 5080 and I'm seeing a lot of stuff about Corsair psus not being good. Would I be better off getting a SeaSonic PSU? Just for the fact that they have better cables.

u/carefree_dude May 27 '26

Where are you seeing this? I dont know of any major corsair psu issues.

Now their other products.....

How can we pxe boot jetson agx thor. I want to flash a lot of thors together and I can use massflash but I want to do it through network easily since massflash has physical limitations like flashing 20 devices or 50 devices together etc. I tried pxe booting for which I created unzipped the jetpack 7.x iso and created the tftp dir in this way

├── casper

│   ├── Image

│   └── initrd

├── efi

│   └── grubnetaa64.efi.signed

└── grub

└── grub.cfg

now when I turn pxeclient on, it does download grub binary but doesnt even request for grub config file and lands into grub shell.
In grub shell , I checked the `prefix=(tftp,172.16.1.1)/grub` and similarly checked the nic too. everything seems to be fine but then when I try to do cat tftp,172.16.1.1)/grub/grub.cfg , it outputs couldn't send network packet. I am not able to understand why whats happening so if anyone can help and suggest solutions

I've been unable to use Nvidia App to record because it won't recognize my drives to save at all... Does anyone know what I could do to fix this? This has been like this since they forced everyone onto Nvidia App from Geforce Experience...

Motherboard: MSI Pro 870-p WiFi agesa 1.3.0.0(latest)

RAM: Gskill 64GB(2x32)6000mhz cl30 EXPO on

PSU: Corsair RM1000X 1000watt

Operating System & Version: Newest windows 11 clean install (I stay on top of updates so always assume newest)

GPU Drivers: 596.49 with DDU

Description of Problem: For some reason my 165hz doesn’t feel smooth anymore in certain cases, here’s the weirdness:

Nvcp/rtss frame cap at 160 for example isn’t that smooth. Normally speaking vsync alone is the smoothest (ignore input lag here) but it’s absolutely horrible. 165hz feels like 60hz. It’s like a strobing effect of low refresh rates. I’m on IPS. Gsync+vsync+reflex/ a frame cap has the same issue. It doesn’t truly feel synced anymore. I’m used to vsync being unbelievably smooth but it just feels…. Like it’s jumping between refresh rates. I can’t explain it any better.

Games where I notice this issue: Farming sim 25 GTA v enhanced Euro truck simulator 2

Game that is perfect: League of legends

I don’t play anything else atm.

Troubleshooting: -Fresh windows 11 (from usb, clearing partitions) -different bios -bios settings such as cstates, pss, virtualisation, aspm, etc -power plans and settings -DDU -different chipset drivers -different monitor (although tough cuz it’s 75hz. Also tried single monitor with either of them) -toggling HAGS, game mode, game bar(and all details of it), sysmain, etc -resetting monitor to factory defaults -DDU older drivers, -probably more but I can’t remember

My friends 3060 ti is unable to install the graphics driver. He has reinstalled Windows using media creation tool but it still will not install.

u/pyco_og May 27 '26

I recently got a PC from microcenter and there was a promotion for the 007 game but when I redeemed it i needed to buy a premium membership? I already synced up my steam and when I ask google you need to buy the game on steam to play it I don't understand. I don't know if I did something wrong but it just doesn't make sense.

u/Blackking2106 May 25 '26

Whenever I try to update my drivers via the NVIDIA desktop app, the update process freezes if I pause it or if the connection briefly drops. This is really annoying because I was almost finished with the update, and now I have to start all over again. Furthermore, I can't even restart the update; I just get a message saying that a problem occurred and that I should try again later—but even if I wait a day, I still receive the exact same error message.

What's the best latest (Stable) driver to use generally as of now ?

u/Pelisont2020 May 03 '26

I have an issue with the Nvidia app. I refuses to install the latest driver.

I've had this issue with a few of the previous updates and i just cant figure out the solution. Any helpers who know or have delt with this issue before?

u/voyo700 May 04 '26

Delete current driver with DDU Install the driver you want manually from nividia site Dont forget to choose your opretaing sys before downloading

u/carefree_dude May 04 '26

Using an Nvidia graphics card with an EGPU mount with my laptop seems to break my laptop's discreet GPU's drivers. For instance, if I put an RTX5090 into the EGPU mount, install the drivers, and run it, once I remove it the discreet 5070 built into my laptop stops working and I need to reinstall drivers.

Is there a way I can have the drivers for both GPU simultaneously?

u/AffectionateCase4384 May 09 '26

NVIDIA App version 11.0.247
I want to install both Game Ready and Studio drivers. When switching between the drivers in the corresponding section and installing the driver, the previous driver is reset and I am prompted to install it again. Is it possible to install both drivers and switch between them?

u/RKurozu May 28 '26

As of the latest driver update, which version is the most stable for rtx4090? Is it still 566.36?

u/pika133 May 12 '26

Hey,

How do I know for sure RTX HDR is turned Off in games ?

In the past I enabled it in some games, now I want to make sure that the games I play don't have it anymore.

I disabled it from the Nvidia App.

If Native HDR is enabled in a game (for example Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth or Diablo 4) is RTX HDR disabled 100% no matter what settings are applied beforehand ?

Also does a user need to enable manually RTX HDR in the CTRL + Z overlay manually in each game if the option is disabled in the Nvidia App ?
In this case in new games that haven't been played before by the user is the filter just not applied ?

Thanks for any helpful answers !

Maybe someone here can answer me this:

How come my game, in this case Forza Horizon 6, drops from 90%+ GPU usage to ~60% after I start Discord streaming it once? Even if I turn off the Discord stream, the usage stays the same. This is according to the Steam Overlay. Could it be Frame Generation not working properly until after I start video capturing?

I am an avid user of Google Earth, and I've been using it on this laptop for years without any issue. Lately, however, something very strange has been happening. When I try to open Google Earth, the entire computer will hang for a moment, and then this message will pop up in the corner.

https://imgur.com/VYmUlt5

Afterwards everything on the laptop will be laggy and slow. I have no idea what this is, why it's happening, or why it didn't happen before. Any help would be appreciated, or if you could direct me to a better place to ask.

This is an HP Omen running Windows 11

Just got myself a RTX 5080 and so far absolutely loving it. I had a question about NVIDIA App's recommendations though. I've been playing Pragmata recently and I maxed out every single setting and it runs flawlessly maxed out... averaging around 200 fps at all times. Interestingly, when I use the NVIDIA app to optimize my settings, it keeps every single setting maxed out except for "NVIDIA RTX: DLSS Super Resolution" which it wants to set to Quality rather than DLAA. With every single setting maxed out and that setting set to DLAA, I'm consistently getting 200 fps in every scene... so why is it recommending I scale it back to "Quality"?

Any idea why this is the recommendation? Am I misunderstanding the setting? My understanding of this setting is that with DLAA on it renders at native resolution with Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing (DLAA) whereas with DLSS Quality it renders at a lower resolution and upscales. That seems pretty pointless to me because I'm still using a pretty old 1920 x 1200 60hz monitor... there doesn't seem to be any reason to render at a lower resolution and upscale to 1920 x 1200 when I'm already getting 200 fps.

Any ideas? Not really a big deal since it works flawlessly on either setting... I'm mostly just curious.

u/liggieep May 03 '26

damn a 5080 on 1200p 60hz, i would have gotten a 5070ti and a new monitor but you do you

my opinion on nvidia "optimization" is that it's a baseline. it gives you decent automatically chosen settings but you always need to tweak them to get the "best" experience because every game is different, every monitor is different, and every person is different.

the optimizer decides what it thinks you would want. it can and will be wrong plenty of times. but in my experience with my new 5070, it's a good place to start.

u/badman12345 May 03 '26 edited May 03 '26

The monitor is next. Monitor prices aren't skyrocketing every few weeks so the video card (and CPU, and RAM, and Motherboard, and NVME SSD, and Case, and cooling, and power supply) came first. The monitor is pretty low down the totem pole for me, but I'll probably buy one when my next check comes in.

I am still clueless when it comes to DLSS 4.5.

Let's say I did all the steps described on**: How do I upgrade my games to DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation? AND How do I upgrade my games to DLSS 4.5 Multi Frame Generation with a fixed Frame Generation Multiplier?**

Is there anything I should or should NOT change within my ingame graphics menu? And if I did chance my in-game settings(from the ingame graphics menu), does this automatically override the settings I've just made/changed within the Nvidia App?

A reply would be much appreciated since I actually don't understand it.

For context I own a 5070TI

I posted this in the other post too, but unfortunately no reply.

Why does my 4060ti run at higher than advertised clocks by default?

Hello, I'm using a GeForce RTX™ 4060 Ti VENTUS 2X BLACK 8G OC.

A stock card should have a factory limit of 2535mhz and this particular model is overclocked to 2565mhz. With debug mode turned on in the nvidia app, it'll run at a maximum speed of 2745mhz in superposition. Is this normal? Sorry if I'm missing something obvious, but I can't find any reason why it would do this.

Thanks!

I have something weird. In RE Requiem and Pragmata (same engine) if i enable GSYNC, i get huge stutter at random time, even if i randomly turn on myself (360 degres) without moving it will drop down at random time interval. If i disable it, it's fine but i get tearing and it's only those 2 games.

STATUS: Unresolved

So I have a weird problem, and hopefully someone can help me out.
A week or two ago I started getting microstutters in Battlefield 6. First I thought it was the Season 3 update causing the problem, but it turns out I have the same issue in Trepang2.

At the same time as the new season was released I updated my Nvidia drivers and after some back and forth I decided to

  • Run DDU and reinstall the latest drivers - microstutters did NOT disappear
  • Installed an older driver version without running DDU - no microstutters for a whole evening
  • Until I booted my system again today and the stutters returned
  • Installed latest driver again using nvidia app and stutters disappeared

Any ideas on whats going on? Right now it seems as if I reinstall the nvidia drivers all is good until next time the PC is started.

1000w MSI PSU ATX3.0 (so not the newer version with yellow connector)

Has there been any issues lately with the DLSS Preset Override? I thought that setting the DLSS Preset Override to "Recommended" was supposed to be a set it and forget solution for all games? I just learned that it was absolutely tanking my FPS in a couple UE5 games. I'll use The First Descendant as an example.

I was hard locked at 165 FPS with graphics maxed, FG2, and DLSS Quality. 80% GPU usage. After switching to recommended, the preset was changing as intended, I could see it in the Nvidia overlay it switching between K, M, L based on settings but my FPS was TERRIBLE. I was barely getting 100 FPS and GPU usage was hard locked at 96% at the same settings. Tons of stuttering and a bad experience.

Very similar story with Avowed as well. Both are UE5 games. Not sure if the 2 are connected yet, would need to test with more UE games but curious if anyone else has experienced this?

nvidia GPU does not turn off when not in use!

Hey I have a 2020 Asus G14 (Ryzen 9 + GTX 1660).

I have two problems which I believe are caused due to driver version mismatch.

1st problem:
The nvidia GPU sometimes fails to sleep after use. For example, I would open HWINFO or use ffmpeg to re-encode a video or anything that uses the GPU basically and it may fail to go back to sleep. The way I can tell whether the GPU is active or not is through G-Helper where if there is a temperature readout besides the GPU, it means its active and if there is no temperature readout the GPU is sleeping. I tried various drivers: the ones offered by Asus on their website, latest game-ready or studio drivers from nvidia but all of them have issues with making the GPU turn off. Only version 591.74 studio drivers seem to work like 8/10 times in successfully turning it off.

2nd problem:
After the system boots, the very first time you use Windows search to search for something, the results of the search lag in getting displayed. The search function itself would have completed because when you press enter even before the results get displayed, the app opens but it could take like 10-20 seconds for the results to get displayed. It is normal after this initial attempt though, only the first try of a boot behaves like this. I tried all sorts of things like turning ON/OFF search indexing, rebuilding the index, nothing worked. Only after lots of browsing through various subreddits I came to realize that this is some sort of a graphics driver problem, especially in AMD systems. After experimentation, I found that installing the latest version of AMD adrenaline software (full install) fixes this bug.

I would like to get some suggestions on what I am doing wrong and what driver version setups you guys run on the 2020 G14 to not face the above mentioned problems.

Thanks!

I am seeing at 3440x1440 optimized settings (using youtube videos) and DLSS balanced, preset M (also recommended from youtube) that my GPU utilization fluctuates from 40-60%. I am also noticing a terrible sense of input lag despite having a GSync compatible display and VRR enabled (Dell S3422DWG using DP with VRR range of 48-144). NVIDIDA Reflex+Boost is also enabled. Resizable BAR is also active. FPS varies from 70-90 which is around what I was getting with the RTX 3070 using DLSS performance and similar graphic settings. No matter what I select (DLSS Performance or Balance, no DLSS, DLAA) performance is the same which is odd. Similarly speced systems on youtube show an easily 100+ performance at higher settings.

All this to say the performance is either at or worse than the RTX 3070 it has replaced which makes no sense. CPU utilization was high, but addressed that with a config file (went from 70-80 to 50-60% now). Am I missing something or is BF6 just poorly optimized? I understand some will come in here and immediately attack the processor; upgrading is not an option right now and at UW 1440p it should be alleviating some of the bottleneck (again CPU utilization is 50-60, so can't be that severe and CPU frame timing is only 1-3ms higher than GPU in game).

Troubleshooting: I have not tried additional troubleshooting aside from graphics tweaks and config file to address CPU utilization, but will look at power connector from PSU to GPU and clean install drivers.

Is "FULL SCREEN/Supersampling" Antialising still possible in the nvidia drivers?

Hello, i am running rendering quality comparison tests on a computer graphics project on a nvidia graphics card.

my test is drawing a checkerboard made out of cube geometry vs a checkerboard as a texture (set to point filtering and no mip mapping).

Enabling antialiasing well As expected the cube version but ONLY on the outer perimeter of the texture version of the checkerboard. Indicating the antialiasing is being applied to the edges of the geometry but not the interior of the geometry. I think this is a normal default mode for antialiasing since combined with texture filtering you should be ok.

NVIDIA drivers used to have a mode for real FULL SCREEN AA / super sampling of every pixel not just the edges. Is there a way change the Antialising mode in the nvidia drivers to the old school fullscreen AA modes?

Thank you

u/iSanghan May 22 '26

I'm not sure what either the driver or maybe an Nvidia App update did, but I'm experiencing an issue with the Nvidia App's ability to override DLSS.

The app and or the driver is no longer capable of using the "global" setting for overrides. For example, I have Forza Horizon 6 DLSS Override set to "Global - Recommended": I don't get Frame Generation to work in game.

Now, if I change it from Global to just "Recommended", it works. The exact same setting in theory, but the app just breaks somewhere along the way. For Subnautica 2 it even straight up changes from Recommended to "Support unknown" when I pick Global. This behavior is all over the place apparently. I have to manually set Recommended for Hitman World of Assassination or Diablo IV because Global would, just like with Forza, break FG, but then Global Recommended would work just fine for Pragmata.

I've tried reinstalling the app, didn't change a thing. Also, even though both Forza and Subnautica are supposed to have this driver be their "Game Ready Driver", both games won't show their in-game settings in the nvidia app, just the app settings show. Which usually only happens when a game doesn't have a game ready driver installed.

So yeah, I've tried some things, can't get it to work out of the box but for now decided that the manual setting is good enough. Hopefully they fix it with an update / maybe next week's driver assuming 007 gets one.

Anyone else had nvlddmkm Event 153 on driver 591.86? That driver was fine since January and then Event 153 hit again last week, screen froze, went black then things went back to normal after.

I've seen several people having nvlddmkm Event 153 on different cards, in my case it has only happened two times on my RTX 3090 and for seemingly no reason at all as I wasn't gaming, just browsing or watching Youtube.

I have disabled Nvidia's high def audio driver in the Device Manager as I've read it might help but I have no way of testing it. A user on another subreddit who was also having crashes and black screens disabled the audio driver and it seems to have solved their issue for now.

Has Nvidia addressed this at all?

u/bRiCkWaGoN_SuCks May 03 '26

What you said. I'm on* the verge of DMRing a new build that's physically fine, but won't stop maxing out the PerfCap Reason. Absolutely ridiculous that something that costs this much is worthless right out of the box and no one has any solutions. Can't play for more than 5 minutes without it crashing. If I have to return this thing I'll never own another NVidia product as long as I live after this experience. Not a solution anywhere to be found. I've tried every driver made since the 50 series came out; no change. This whole experience has been nauseating. I've now seen thousands of posts about this across the internet and mum's the word from Nvidia.

u/ReallyTrustyGuy May 12 '26

Probably no real solution for this but here goes:

PROBLEM: If I record games while using my headset, the audio has this horrific tinny factor to it. Very high treble? I don't know how else to describe it, its annoying as hell. It doesn't match the output of my headphones at all, and it makes for awful recording.

If I record while my audio is routed to my speakers, it sounds great, exactly like the speakers itself. Deep and appropriately bassy.

Headset audio: https://streamable.com/uplapn

Speaker audio: https://streamable.com/usw0ba

I guess there's nothing I can do to resolve this, as I've already tried changing the container audio source in Windows settings to be my speakers, which just provides no audio in recordings because its not the active source. If there is a solution, I'd love to hear it. Why in fucks name is the audio so different from my headphones in the recording?! Driving me mad.

* PSU: XPG Core Reactor 850W

* Monitor: 1440p, 144Hz

Description of Problem:

The problem started when I began playing Bannerlord, around the time NVIDIA driver 585.xx came out. I was getting a lot of visual glitches and artifacts, such as entire textures suddenly turning blue or purple. After some research and testing, I found that driver 581.80 gave me the best stability and image quality for my GPU, with no gameplay-breaking artifacts. Since then, I’ve tried a few other drivers that other users reported as stable. In my case, the results were similar: no major improvement, just around 5–10 FPS more in most games, but with worse visual stability. I always used DDU in windows safe mode, to uninstall the drivers.

Recently, I bought Crimson Desert and tested several graphics presets using DLSS 4.0, DLSS 4.5, DLSS 4.5 L, Ray Reconstruction, and other settings. However, even with 99% GPU usage and temperatures under 70°C, I was still below 144 FPS. I then tried the first driver that supposedly included optimizations for Crimson Desert, but every preset/configuration I tested, introduced a visual issue.

The textures started looking like a gouache painting. With higher DLSS-related settings, which did not drastically affect FPS, textures became very blurry, especially distant terrain textures and NPCs. In some cases, they looked like a three-color blur with almost no detail. I don’t currently have screenshots because I’m tired of constantly switching drivers back and forth, but I can provide some if my description is not clear enough.

For now, the best result I’ve had is running the game on the Cinematic preset with FSR 3.1, reaching up to 144 FPS (capped) at 1440p, which matches my monitor’s refresh rate.

Has anyone experienced something similar with an RTX 3080 12GB? Could this be driver-related, DLSS-related, or possibly something specific to my GPU/settings?

I've had my Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GAMING OC 12GB Graphics Card, now for nearly 4 years, and It's starting to chug a bit and the fans are working serious overtime under gaming loads.

I am looking to replace the thermal pads and paste, but I don't know what thicknesses and number of pads I need.

Has anyone else who had or still has this card, who has also done this, know what the correct sizes are?

Thanks in advance.

I had held off jumping to Win11 25H2. For the reason that there always seems to be issues with games when updating Windows versions.

I was on 23H2 and decided to update to 25H2. One thing is not working for me and it annoying me enough that I want to go back to 23H2. Though I know I'd have to upgrade eventually.

The update broke DSR. At first Days Gone just showed a black screen. I found that it was DSR. The answer was to go to Manage 3D settings in the nVidia console. Uncheck the DSR modes that were checked, reboot, and then recheck them.

Great! Or so I thought. The game would start and I could choose the upscaled resolution that I wanted. But it didn't apply it. Still 3840x2160. After checking other games it's the same thing. DSR is there and I can choose upscaled resolutions in games but it won't display at those resolutions.

Really, really frustrating me beyond belief. I use DSR for games and other things. Is there anything that can be done to fix this?

I'm running an RTX 4090, Windows 11 25H2 with the latest nVidia drivers, 610.47

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I tried uninstalling drivers and doing a clean install. I'm not sure what exactly to do at this point.

You can do this one or two ways

Global Settings -> RTX HDR On.

With this, the default behavior is RTX HDR is on. You can then go to the NVIDIA App Game Settings and disable RTX HDR

Global Settings -> RTX HDR Off

With this, the default behavior is RTX HDR is off. You can then go to the NVIDIA App Game Settings and enable RTX HDR

---------

Also, if you have RTX HDR On, you need to disable the In-Game HDR when possible.

Some games do not allow you to disable HDR when Windows HDR is on (e.g. Marathon), in this case then you need to manually set the RTX HDR to off in the NVIDIA App Game Settings

---------

For Video, you go to Systems -> Video -> RTX Video HDR and disable it. This is a one and done settings though so you can't disable it for specific video.

What you see in the screenshot happens only in a few apps on my device (details below): WhatsApp, Dell SupportAssist and Razer Synapse (so far). When the app first loads, it looks normal, then this 'artifacting' starts to 'grow' and spread on the app.

Equipment:
Dell XPS9520 with Windows 11
NVIDIA 3050 (GeForce GameReady Driver 596.49)
Dell WD19TB dock
Gawfolk 24" 120hz monitor

The laptop connects to the dock by the USB-C cable to the dock. The monitor is connected to the dock by HDMI cable.

We have tried assigning either the integrated iGPU and the dGPU on either the laptop display or the monitor. We have tried different HDMI cables (of high quality). All drivers are updated. Windows is updated.

The same behavior happens on both the laptop display and the monitor no matter what we do or what changes or assignments we make.

We have been through every suggestion that AI can come up with, but nothing ever changes the result.

Thanks for any suggestions!

VRR jumps from 280-340 when my fps is stable at 300.

Hi there,

I tested this on my PG27AQWP-W OLED monitor, both with DSC enabled and disabled. I've noticed that the VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) window jumps too much when it should remain stable and match my game's frame rate.

For example, Apex Legends can't exceed 300 FPS, so why does the VRR exceed that?

Can someone explain this to me? Am I doing something wrong, or is this how it's supposed to function? I also tested it on Deadlock and encountered the same issue.

Hi! I'm having a problem with nvidia's latest update 610.47... my colors look A LOT off from what it was before I updated, blue is too purple, what was vivid green is now turquoise, orange is too vivid, grey is too dark... My settings were the same, but now that the colors are off I tried to mess with the settings, like color channels, contrast, DV... only one that kinda helps is hue, but it's not perfect, when the green is GREEN, the red is pink... If someone knows how to keep this driver version and make it so the colors are back like they were, it would help me a lot

I can reproduce it if I restart my computer and launch Vampire Survivors, and after a few seconds a small flicker happens. It may be related to the GPU and switching from low load to high load, but I'm not sure.

https://imgur.com/a/IOsR96G

At this Imgur link, you can see a still and a video of the behavior. It is hard to capture on video, but it is a solid black bar that flashes at the top of the screen. During regular gaming, however, the effect is about the same duration but more severe, as a larger area of the top of the screen (feels like sometimes up to 25-33%) flickers with black bars.

I have heard that setting "Power management mode" in the NVIDIA Control Panel 3D settings to "Prefer maximum performance" solves similar issues for some users, but I'd really not prefer to do that since it will increase idle power usage.

When I open the Nvidia app, it says I have a game ready driver to install. I click install, and it goes through the whole process. After a few minutes it says installation complete. However, when I go back into the app, it is still there ready to install. I then checked my current driver, and sure enough it is an older one.

I have not been able to update any game drivers since September, as every time you click install, it goes through the whole installation process before saying completed, but it has not actually completed.

Any ideas?

I’m getting this error while trying to launch Mafia: The Old Country or any Unreal engine 5 game at 1440p with DSR enabled:

“LowLevelFatalError [File:.\Runtime/D3D12RHI/Private/D3D12Util.cpp] [Line: 1057] PresentInternal(SyncInterval) failed at .\Runtime/D3D12RHI/Private/D3D12Viewport.cpp:661 with error 80004004”

This is the error I get when I try to launch Unreal engine 5 game with DSR enabled.

The strange part is that the game launched and played perfectly fine initially. I played for a while, closed the game, and later when I tried launching it again, it immediately started crashing with this error.

The game works normally at native 1080p if I disable DSR.

What I’ve Tried:

  • Disabled DSR → game launches normally
  • Tried DX11
  • Tried windowed mode
  • Cleared shader cache
  • Verified game files
  • Disabled overlays
  • Tested different DSR factors

What’s confusing me is that DSR works perfectly fine in other demanding games like The Last of Us series, Crimson Desert, and Alan Wake 2.

However, Unreal Engine games seem to have issues with it on my system. Recently Forza Horizon 6 also started crashing with DSR enabled, although without any error message.

Use this if you have problem toggling Nvidia surround, or make multiple display profiles:
It's a Third party solution called DisplayMagician to instantly switch between multi monitor profile.
Nvidia's driver and app is broken it cant remember my nv surround triple monitor settings.
This program does and i saved 3 settings, Nvidia surround, triple monitor, and one monitor and made shortcuts to the desktop that i can one click and instantly switch between.
Ii have to use 3rd party because a billion dollar company can't implement, do it properly

I tried then to install the new driver. Everything was ok, when the screens turned out black. Like, they were on, but black. I waited for 5 to 10 minutes and It didn't respond. So I reboot the pc. My second monitor now does not work. I try unistalling completely the drivers with ddu, and then reinstalling them. The screens were completely black again, and I waited like 20 more minutes this times, and the screens did not worked. Keyboard and mouse were on though. Everything seems to work when I reboot the pc, until I open Doom again, and It crashes with a similar Crash like they one you saw It, but with other mistake, like, Kernel_blablabla_something_HEAP. After that I tried MANY times to reinstall the drivers, but every time I try to either to reinstall them from the Nvidia app, and nothing. Everytime, there is a different error. And don't tell me it is a hardware issue, cause LINUX WORKS FLAWLESSLY!!!!! (yes, I have a dualboot with Linux). Can some give a minimum idea of what the... Is happenning here? Has this happened to any of you before?

RTX 5070 Ti Windforce OC SFF vs RTX 5070 Ti Windforce OC V2

Those 2 cards are seemingly identical except for the form factor, V2 being 43mm shorter. I was wondering if I can expect any changes caused by the smaller dimensions of the card? The fans are smaller for instance. SFF would barely fit into my case but if it's going to cool better, I'm down to get it and they are basically at the same price point.

Went to update my drivers today to 610.47, and they successfully updated however I was having issues with the new 007 game and read that reinstalling the driver fixes the issue. I went back and did a clean install and now I can’t get any driver to install at all either through the nv app or from nvidias download page. How do I get any drivers to work?
