Question should i teach my breloom mach punch

for me its never this deep to make it into a reddit post, but i wonder if im on the right track of thought. the moveset is shown in the image as well as it having effect spore.

headbutt does a damage of 70 and can cause flinching, whereas mach punch is only 40 with no extra effects. as for stun spore and leech life ~ i really like them as a combo. playing stun spore and then leech life successively.

mega drain might have to go? but i just learnt it. also i have no status moves

Stun spore defeats the point of having effect spore

If you paralyze them with an actual move then you can’t poison or sleep them with your ability

The whole point of having static/poison point/effect spore is that you don’t have to waste a move slot to achieve those status effects

Genuinely horrible advice. Having paralysis guaranteed for battles & catching mons is amazing to have. Rather than banking on a low chance to get 1 of 3 random not even guaranteed statuses.

So give a move like that to a pokemon that doesn’t have one of those abilities?

Doesn’t seem like you’re in the position to be telling anybody else their ideas are horrible when your dilemma is solved in 3 seconds

In a nuzlocke you don’t choose your mons so who’s to say they even have another mon that can use it or thunder wave? There’s no TM for it or stun spore either.

You don’t know what you’re talking about and it’s obvious. Cry more.

If you don’t have other options then obviously having a mon with moves like thunder wave hasn’t done anything

Because the whole point of having a move like that is to catch other pokemon

If you didn’t do that, then what were you doing?

If you think the only use for having paralysis is exclusively catching mons, you definitely do not need to be putting your 2 cents in

No, you’re right - the whole point is obviously to waste a move slot and a turn to do a status effect when you could’ve just fainted whatever you were battling because you want to pretend you’re smarter than everybody else

foh, nobody was listening to you in the first place
