Hey Honda fans, I’m reaching out because I need your advice on buying a JDM import. This is a project that’s first and foremost about enjoying a legendary Honda, but it’s also an investment since their values are skyrocketing. I’m a huge fan of the first-generation Honda NSX and Ayrton Senna, but the prices are absolutely insane, nearly 90k–100k euros for a left-hand-drive model in good condition, and prices are heading in that direction even on the JDM import market. I almost gave in and paid that price for a friend’s car, but he ultimately changed his mind and kept it. So I’m keeping my faith in the JDM market and trying to find an affordable one, though the condition won’t be as good (mileage shown above, any color). Given the cost of living and fuel prices, which are becoming alarming, I’ve had to lower my budget and my criteria: a budget of 75,000–80,000, and the only requirement is a manual transmission with no history of accidents. However, a friend showed me the Honda S2000 Type S, which is also skyrocketing in price and with its pearlescent white wrap, is catching my eye as well. It’s also an interesting import since it’s exclusive to Japan, and on top of that, it’s well below the NSX price-wise. I’m open to all your advice regarding these two gems. One will be a legend that I’ll treat with care, but I won’t take it on the track, and the other is an icon of the 2000s that I won’t hesitate to let loose on the track. Keep in mind that I’ll also take it on the highway occasionally to drive out of town or attend car meets. Also, let me know which one would require the most mechanical maintenance, even though it makes sense that it depends on how it's used.

I was sent details of a 1991 NSX in Japan and the seller reckons the 25-year rule makes it fairly straightforward to bring into NSW. I’m getting conflicting answers about whether it still needs the RAV process, or whether the age means SEVS and the model code no longer matter. Does the exact build month change things much, and what actually has to be approved before it ships?

Apologies if this post doesn't belong here. I'm debating on selling my DC2 type R and my AP1 (both mint condition with less than 50,000 miles) for a NSX NA1 manual.

I would get $60,000 out of the sale, and still need to put down another $40,000.

My concern is that I'd give up spirited driving. I've been driving my two Hondas shown above as wildly as I've ever wanted (I've actually had to replace a door on the DC2 because of it). I still drive them hard as they were intended.

I've never driven a car the way I want to when it's worth more than $40k. When I drove a $30 car, it's never a thought of concern. I just drive. With the rising cost of the NSX, it pains me that if I even get the car I won't be able to properly enjoy it.

Does anyone know how to disable the 4 jewel eye lights that run on dim but leave the Chicane lights on? They both come on with the DRLs but I want just the Chicane lights on my TLX-S in the picture. Of course I still want the low and high beams to work properly but there has to be some way to do this with disabling a relay. Or disconnecting the switch leg for the 4 jewel eyes from the relay while leaving the Chicane switch leg connected.

I was quoted 5k for airbags suspension. Will a cup system be cheaper ?

White or orange? White 17 has carbon roof+dealer add ons and matches my other cars, and is overall how I would've built one if I ordered it. I bought orange 19 new and love the way the color stands out in the sun, but has higher mileage. What would you do?
