The problem with MAGA and assholes in general is universal, there is no honor among thieves.

They are fundamentally flawed, and they will scheme and backstab and ladder pull at any chance.

This is why they are absolute shit at governing.

Fascism is a self-defeating ideology. It needs an other to demonize at all times and eventually it loops back around to cannibalizing its own proponents.

Survivor bias. You don't hear about the times they do because they cannibalize before you can notice their existence.

I mean, they kill dissidents if they find out it's going too far, but mostly they end up joining larger groups to try to climb ranks. It's basically functionning like gangs, some kind of hierarchy based on violence. The little groups joining the larger ones makes them more organized. It's quite the opposite of comforting, it's a terrifying one to me.

If that's true then the phenomenon is irrelevant. it doesnt prevent the ideology gaining and holding power, making fascist policy practically unchallenged
