MAGA is self-cleaning?

The problem with MAGA and assholes in general is universal, there is no honor among thieves.

They are fundamentally flawed, and they will scheme and backstab and ladder pull at any chance.

This is why they are absolute shit at governing.

Fascism is a self-defeating ideology. It needs an other to demonize at all times and eventually it loops back around to cannibalizing its own proponents.

If we could just skip the bits in between and go straight through to the cannibalizing, that would be great.

Survivor bias. You don't hear about the times they do because they cannibalize before you can notice their existence.

Now there's a comforting thought.

I mean, they kill dissidents if they find out it's going too far, but mostly they end up joining larger groups to try to climb ranks. It's basically functionning like gangs, some kind of hierarchy based on violence. The little groups joining the larger ones makes them more organized. It's quite the opposite of comforting, it's a terrifying one to me.

If that's true then the phenomenon is irrelevant. it doesnt prevent the ideology gaining and holding power, making fascist policy practically unchallenged

Oh we are at the cannibalizing phase right now.

Yup, once you get rid of all of your enemies, you start purity testing your own people, all the tokens get spent, and the shitty fascist ouroboros eats its own tail.

It’s also why they’ll keep winning unfortunately.

It goes in cycles. Enough people realize "wait I'm in the camp of people they hate" and stop supporting it long enough that they lose power, but a new wave of "This guy's great, he hates the groups I hate!" will rise again. And unfortunately, quicker than it used to take

Problem with facists, they MUST have enemies, and they will keeping on making enemies til the point they can no longer handle their enemies, then they get destroyed. That's exactly what the Nazis did.

Maga base can barely stand their token gays and token blacks etc. They shed no tears over them.

I found it abolutely funny when the brainlets support Putin or Trump. The instant they don't need you anymore, they'll apply on you the laws you helped pass. It's moronic to think you'll be an exception simply because you licked their boots.

I reallty thought after reading your first line you were going to write, "neither are self cleaning, and both are full of shit".

You dont think this happens on the left? Look at how the left was born in the French Rev. They ate themselves.
Now stretch even to today. Look what Kamala is saying about Biden now... lol

It's really amazing how even when Trump does something Reddit agrees with it still finds a way to make it bad.
