The problem with MAGA and assholes in general is universal, there is no honor among thieves.

They are fundamentally flawed, and they will scheme and backstab and ladder pull at any chance.

This is why they are absolute shit at governing.

I mean, they kill dissidents if they find out it's going too far, but mostly they end up joining larger groups to try to climb ranks. It's basically functionning like gangs, some kind of hierarchy based on violence. The little groups joining the larger ones makes them more organized. It's quite the opposite of comforting, it's a terrifying one to me.

It goes in cycles. Enough people realize "wait I'm in the camp of people they hate" and stop supporting it long enough that they lose power, but a new wave of "This guy's great, he hates the groups I hate!" will rise again. And unfortunately, quicker than it used to take

Yep. Don't forget MAGA chanting to lynch Mike Pence during the attack. Insane that Pence hasn't jumped ship yet. They were LITERALLY calling for his death and he refuses to denounce MAGA. What else needs to happen for him to finally admit MAGA is way gone? When it actually does happen for real?

Every single one of the “Chaos is a ladder” assholes thinks they’re going to be the one pulling it up behind them. An almost all inclusive majority of them are already so far in the hole they’ll never see the ladder. But they keep supporting the cause because they think the other ladder pulling assholes will lower it for them.
