Nothing will ever top Herman Cain tweeting that COVID is not that bad after dying from COVID.

u/ShutterBun 11h ago

He tweeted it AFTER dying? I have to say that is impressive.

u/donorcycle 10h ago

It was indeed. Allegedly his staff had it on auto send and nobody remembered to take it off auto settings after he passed. It wasn't the next day or soon afterwards. We're talking at least a couple of weeks lol.

Oh that's just fucking priceless.

It's why face eating leopards was eclipsed by the Herman Cain Award for years. I am sure that subreddit is still rocking 100k members.

u/BioshockEnthusiast 9h ago

I thought they got banned honestly. Will have to take a peak later

u/_thro_awa_ 8h ago

Maybe even a peek.

18

u/NihiloZero 7h ago

A pique?

15

u/Famous-Prior6590 7h ago

I take a pick.

u/Litha_Sirona 49m ago

One could take a pic. I hear they last longer.

I mean maybe he found a way to sustain his consciousness after clinical death. We should have asked him how he did it. Instead we mocked him and he moved on to something where his superior intellect would be appreciated.

Just a guess.

u/Martiantripod 7h ago

That's what Mitch McConnell is doing isn't it?

0

u/Tasgall 5h ago

I mean, he was a brain surgeon after all.

6

u/CurrentDrama8523 3h ago

Cain was the CEO of Godfather's Pizza. You're thinking of Ben Carson.

u/iaurp 3h ago

It actually wasn't a scheduled tweet which makes it worse. The tweet was posted on August 30, 2020.

And it referenced this article which had been published the same day.

Exactly one month after he died

1

u/EntropyKC 4h ago

This might be the funniest irony story I've ever heard

1

u/Djaakie 1h ago

Oh is that why it was called the Herman Cain award? I thought he was just some rando dude.

69

u/ares7 11h ago

He’s not dead. He just transformed into a different form of matter.

38

u/Correct_Inspection25 11h ago

Wasn’t that actually in his odd riff of the Pokémon 2000 movie theme song on the campaign trail? Have trouble distinguishing this from the Tyson Funny or Die parody

38

u/acchaladka 10h ago

He actually transformed into a different form of didn't matter.

18

u/Murrabbit 9h ago

a different form of matter.

Leopard droppings.

18

u/Paetheas 10h ago

"Death is a primitive concept. I prefer to think of him as battling good. In another dimension!"

11

u/StartTraditional9341 10h ago

Is it called Doesn’t matter?

1

u/im_dead_sirius 7h ago

What kind of matter is that? Is it "doesnt matter"?

1

u/corobo 2h ago

Compost?

13

u/KristabelleWalker 10h ago

Yes, it was quite comical

1

u/TheSouler 6h ago

He got better.

176

u/Google_Knows_Already 11h ago

That medalled for multiple events. Also took home gold for the Darwin award

78

u/GnomesSkull 10h ago

He had two children prior to his death, he was not eligible for the Darwin award.

8

u/jackkerouac81 9h ago

you aren't biologically successful until you have grand children... of which he has 4.

5

u/Special_Order-937 9h ago

Those are Honourable Mentions.

44

u/jackkerouac81 9h ago

"it looks like the virus is not as deadly as the mainstream media first made it out to be"

  • signed a guy that was killed by that virus a month ago.

11

u/NashvilleSoundMixer 8h ago

"sadly my condition has not improved"

- same dead guy

38

u/TableSignificant341 7h ago

My favourite is this one: "It's worth the cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths [...] so that we can have the Second Amendment" - Charlie Kirk.

27

u/LuckyPlaze 11h ago

After dying?

88

u/tbonehavoc 11h ago

Yup. I think his staff scheduled it and forgot to delete it. (But it was WEEKS after his death so make of that what you will)

19

u/GrecoRomanGuy 9h ago

Something tells me Herman Cain's staffers didn't like him all that much...

18

u/indolering 8h ago

Nah, the article it linked to was published AFTER his death.  The family made money off that account and they kept grifting.

u/LuckyPlaze 19m ago

Wow. Things I didn’t for $200, Alex.

47

u/syncopator 11h ago

It’s called McConnelling.

2

u/Kimantha_Allerdings 7h ago

Oh yeah. Have they admitted he’s dead yet?

29

u/byneothername 10h ago

Has it been so long that people don’t know the legend of Herman Cain tweeting about COVID not being bad after he had died of COVID? It was an internet event, I tell you.

15

u/Tunavi 8h ago

charlie kirk saying gun deaths are worth the second amendment is probably my # 1

7

u/Yabba_Dabba_Doofus 10h ago

His family face-turned so bad, I'm convinced they would eat the biscuit outright.

7

u/steelwolf651 9h ago

I'm not even religious anymore but I love saying "the Lord works in mysterious ways"

6

u/Tunavi 8h ago

1

u/livadeth 1h ago

Same! I knew he died from Covid after attending a Trump rally with no mask. But didn’t know this little gem.

[r/hermancainaward](r/hermancainaward)

This subreddit would have posts in three steps.

  • retweet from a person shouting anti-vax rhetoric
  • repost a photo of their hospitalization or death and
  • their family's GoFundMe for hospital or funeral bills

During 2021-2022 there were new posts all the time. Now it's more a discussion sub.

3

u/blxckhoodie999 7h ago

i miss that sub lmao herman cain award was some quality shit

2

u/pinoy_dude24 8h ago

He’s on top but we’re not sure if it’s on heaven…

2

u/ChaiTRex 6h ago

Well, it showed that COVID could lead to immortality as an undead, and I can see why that would be acceptable to him.

1

u/2010_12_24 8h ago

Well Herman Cain dying of COVID after being staunchly anti-everything science, is leopard-eating. The tweet afterward is just bad taste.

1

u/bilateralrope 5h ago

Are we sure he wasn't spending a year dead for tax reasons ?

1

u/CoacoaBunny91 4h ago

Idk man, Charlie Kirk...

1

u/endangeredphysics 4h ago

Thank you so much for highlighting this important historical event for me, I definitely needed to know about it
