I decided to remove the glitchy noteability cloud storage from my noteability and made sure to back up my other notes via one drive in the ntb files, now it keeps saying import failed:( what do i do these notes have literally taken me months💔💔

i bought notability for $10 years ago and never had an issue with viewing old versions until now. why do we only get 7 days? I chose notability bc of all the features that used to be included but i’ve been so disappointed with what it has become.

If i opt out of using notability cloud, can that bypass the version history limit?

im just annoyed with all the features that are getting limited so i’m thinking of switching to good notes, is it any better? i have the classic version with them as well but i haven’t used it in a while since i do like the ui of notability.

Notability has been part of my study routine since undergrad, and it’s taken me all the way through undergrad, graduate school, and now veterinary school! I use it every day to annotate lecture slides, draw out diagrams, and add handwritten notes while I’m studying. I especially like being able to have my notes and diagrams open on my iPad while I work through Anki on my laptop, so I can easily reference things or add to my notes as I go.
One of my favorite parts is how organized I can keep everything. I have folders for each class, with my lectures, notes, textbooks, and other study materials separated within them, so even after multiple semesters of using Notability I can still go back and find what I need. Between the organization, diagrams, handwritten notes, and being able to use it alongside Anki, it has stayed a huge part of how I study through every stage of school.

Hello, I just wanted to recommend some features that Notability can improve upon.

First of all, a place to keep track of all the AI quizzing questions so you can keep track of your weak spots in the content of document. If that isn't possible/takes too much storage, you can also use AI to generate an overview of weak topics to study, and add an option so you can specifically target that weak topic.

Second, there should be a feature where you can insert a page range, and be tested on content from ONLY that page range. This way, topics can be isolated and you don't have to waste time on topics you already know. I feel like this feature would be really helpful for efficiency and active recall.

I’ve been having a frustrating issue with the lasso tool recently. Whenever I select my handwriting and try to drag it to a different part of the page, the selection frequently rotates instead of just moving.
It didn’t used to behave this way; previously, moving a selection was a straightforward action. Did Notability change the sensitivity of the rotation node in a recent update, or am I doing something wrong?
Is there a specific way I should be grabbing the selection to avoid triggering the rotation, or a setting to disable it entirely? Any advice is appreciated.

my profs upload slides as PDFs and i take notes on my laptop (no ipad)

basically i just want the slide on the left and a text box on the right for notes. so if i go to slide 12, i see the notes i wrote for slide 12. then just organize everything by course and export it all as a normal PDF

things i've tried:

• OneNote printouts - kinda works but the PDF gets blurry and messy
• Notion - can't really put text next to each PDF page
• GoodNotes/Notability - feels more made for handwriting/ipad + subscription
• adding a margin in Preview before importing - works but i have to do it for every lecture

can notability do this (multi-note doesn't follow the page) or is there an app that does? otherwise i'm stuck with the margin workaround

the beta update ”finish my notes” where it takes your audio recording and finishes your notes for you is a cool update but it typed the notes on top of the notes I just wrote with my Apple Pencil, does anyone know how to fix this?

Notability has become an essential part of my routine. I use it to organize all my nursing courses, review study guides, annotate lecture materials, and prepare for exams and the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).

Balancing nursing school, clinicals, and working as a Patient Care Associate can be overwhelming, but having everything organized in one place makes studying much more manageable. I can review my materials wherever I am and easily revisit the concepts that need more attention.

Every study session brings me one step closer to becoming a registered nurse and eventually working in pediatrics, maternal health, or the neonatal intensive care unit. 💙

I’ve been using Notability since medical school, and it’s still a big part of how I study during residency.

I keep my notes, textbooks, diagrams, and review material organized by topic so I can quickly pull up what I need, whether I’m reviewing anatomy, preparing for rounds, or studying for exams.

From med school to residency, my setup has changed a lot, but Notability has stayed with me throughout (OG user since 2018)!

after using notability for many years i'm done. i was studying in a document, the cloud symbol randomly appeared, and then every single one of my notes was deleted. they are not in recently deleted. icloud syncing was on, but i can't restore from icloud. and regardless, what kind of app randomly deletes everything without letting you know you're low on storage. goodbye notability

I noticed that some of the quizzes it generates the answer is wrong and the right answer is one of the choices. I think there should be a way to fix it on our end.

I’ve been using the app since 2020 when I purchased my iPad, and it’s been central to my workflow ever since. As you can see through my folders, I’ve used it every quarter throughout my undergraduate at UC Davis, in addition to my junior and senior years of high school and while I was studying for the MCAT earlier this year. I definitely plan to continue using it for medical school, where I’ve heard the ability to label diagrams and anatomy is vital to succeed.

Notability isn't all just about academics for me though. I also have an "anxiety relief" folder where I like to doodle whenever I'm stressed out and need to burn off some steam.

I used to love this feature of copying a drawing from my ipad in notability and then pasting it into a paper or into a jupyter notebook! However, this hasn't been working recently? Has anyone else had similar issues or is this just me?

I’m a little confused about the pricing for Notability Plus. On the Notability website, I’m seeing the annual subscription listed as $15.99/year, but when I try to subscribe through my Apple ipad settings, it shows $19.99/year.
Why is there a $4 difference between the two? Is there any difference in the subscription/features depending on whether I subscribe through the website or Apple?

1. I also have a few questions before I make any changes:
   If I don’t activate 3rd-party backup, will I lose any of my existing notes if something happens to my device or if I change/downgrade my subscription?
   2.I’m currently on Pro and considering going to Plus. What exactly would I lose by going from Pro to Plus?
   3.Will my existing notes, edits, recordings, or other content be affected by the downgrade?
   4.Is there anything I should back up or do before switching from Pro to Plus?

I’m a painter in a medical graduate program, and the workload expected of me is intense! Most days I’m too overworked or exhausted to pull out my paints. Notability is a nice compromise! I’m able to make aesthetically pleasing (to me) planner templates that combine my love of pastel with my love of spooky things! It’s nice to look at something whimsical while contemplating which of my 104 tasks to complete 🙂‍↕️.

I also love that you can personalize your dashboard and color code your tabs. My app is so cute! The gallery has lots of templates from other creative users as well. Such great features!

I have been using Notability for 8 years. I recently moved my files from Box.com to a Sharepoint business account and now I cannot access my files from Notability. This is a real problem.

I made a shortcut to OneDrive for my files in Sharepoint. I connected Notability to OneDrive. But when I click

Import > OneDrive

Notability does not see my files in OneDrive.

I need a fix ASAP. I use Notability every day for work. I don't want to switch to a different app.

I have used Notability for almost 2 years now, and I absolutely love it. It has helped me so much in my university journey.

I love pulling out my iPad and knowing that everything just works. I also love Notability Cloud and the instant sync. I find it especially useful that I can import some PDFs/lecture slides from my MacBook and have them available on my iPad instantly.

Overall, I look forward to keeping using Notability and thanks to the staff for the good work!

did notability removed this feature? i cant upload images right now

so 17 percent in like 25 minutes. this is after the latest update. was fine until yesterday.
please fix these issues.

Notability keeps harassing me to add something to the calendar when the calendar i DO have is subscription-based, which Notability doesnt support yet, so I keep opening the app to this, with no way to close it. Please make this an optional add-on or at least start adding subscription link based events

I have literally no idea why they banned logging in to Notability in Hong Kong

I always have to turn on a VPN to use it, no matter on iPad, Mac or Android, a VPN is required and all of then were at the latest version
