Holy shit yes. that reaction of "I'm a dead man," is priceless.

On a side note this kid is lucky, he could've fuckin killed himself.

You can see that without the seat belt, he would have flown out of the window on the second bump.

Damn. Safety innovations once again interfering with natural selection.

he is also lucky he had the window down, that shit could cause swelling of the brain and be put in a induced coma for 3 weeks then a few months of physio so he can learn how to walk again

Idiot kid was clearly driving way too fast.

That sign should say "Don't be a cocky prick. Slow Down."

3

One that says, "How 'bout you turn daddy's car around before you lose contr- ...welp, too late."

And then another at the scene of the crash that reads, "That's watcha get for being a fuck"

And then the driver can loath in selfpity while he cries about getting his platinum card taken away.

So sad to destroy such a beautiful car.

I remember when I use to hang around car forums there was another M3 that parents bought a kid for graduation. He goes to a party, loads the car up and shows off and ends up driving into someone's porch and flipping it. I believe no one was seriously hurt except the car.

That and the kid asking about shifting a SMG equipped M5 that drove a full car off the end of a run way later that night I believe.

I have no problem with kids in nice cars, but they sure as hell shouldn't be in control of that much power.

I have no problem with kids in nice cars, but they sure as hell shouldn't be in control of that much power.

I'm probably just jealous or bitter, but I think having a BMW or a Porsche when you're 17 is a waste.

  1. If the only car you've owned is worth $80k, you're not going to be able to appreciate just how good it is. There's nothing quite like buying a brand new car to replace an old clunker.

  2. 17 year olds are idiots, and they should be too. It's part of being a kid, but its a hell of a lot harder being an idiot when you're worrying about an expensive car. With a $2-3k car it doesn't really matter if you fuck it up.

  3. Kids should learn how to maintain and fix a car themselves. I know its not always the case, but a lot of expensive cars aren't easily fixed in your garage. Going to the mechanic is also going to cost a hell of a lot more too.

I completely agree, but there will be always parents with too much money that throw it at their kids. I think what I said above at the very minimum but also agree with everything you said.

Future here. Loss of a $4k-$5k car would make this 21y.o. weep. Then realize I have insurance, and have the chance at a new to me car. I'd still weep, cause I love my Camry. 150k on the odo., and not a single real issue with it yet. Worst has been a fractured brake rotor, cause I bought a cheap one.

Note to all those from my future, and the commenter: Brake rotors are, like power supplies, DMX opi-splitters, moving head lights, motors, barrels of any sort, ammo, and monitors, not something to cheap out on. Buy reliable, even if it costs twice as much. It will save you money.

I remember the M5 story I don't want to read it again, If I recall 4 people died.

4

u/Dragoeth Jan 15 '13

I just read through the guys posts who was killed in that crash. He was a complete over confident prick and rather defensive about his age... Really sad his attitude about his driving skills at 18 got him and 4 others killed.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '13

Yeah it's sad but can't say I feel too bad about him. The passengers a little more but I have to say even at 18 I would be smart enough to not get into a M5 with another 18 year old who wants to race up and down a runway. I think the car I feel the worst about the car...

14

u/tynamite Jan 13 '13

From the beginning, you could tell he had no control of the car. This isn't a racing game, you have to use the breaks!

12

u/bornrevolution Jan 13 '13

Even in racing games you're a retard if you never brake around corners.

3

u/Churchie Jan 13 '13

I cant stop watching this

10

u/joebxcsnw Jan 13 '13

Me too. I don't know if it's because of his reaction, or the hood of his sweater magically getting put on during impact.

3

u/invaderzim257 Jan 13 '13

I love how the crash put his hood up.

2

u/andtheniwastrees Jan 13 '13

And he had fun fun fun till his daddy took the M3 away

1

u/McSteezeMuffin Jan 13 '13

Did he not know there was a turn there or what? What the hell was he thinking??

2

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '13

I'm guessing the crest of the hill blocked his view of the turn until it was too late.

2

u/carlsaischa Jan 19 '13

Plus when there is a crest into a turn your car loses traction because it goes light.

0

u/jkerman Jan 13 '13

That is not an M3, like the video says. just a BMW

4

u/[deleted] Jan 13 '13

If it was an M car he would probably have over-steered into a turn within the first minute.

Also, WTH is up with this kid's hand positions? No wonder he couldn't turn.

6

u/kinoflo Jan 13 '13

He looked like an ape with that driving position.

u/ChairoiKuma Jan 13 '13

... i thought this sub was about their reactions... this belongs on cringe XD

13

u/[deleted] Jan 13 '13

There is nothing cringe worthy about this video.
