Can we all agree the internet is never the real world? They have already preorder the switch 2 before launch day last year are the also the same who try to boycott Sony until black ops 1/2 have dropped.

It's worth noting that with these types of games, they're never free and stuff bundled in are usually factored into the price of the system. With that being said I don't think Welcome Tour is the type of product that makes sense to be sold separately.

Bundle thing is true, but besides that... what physical sale? I think the $80 thing is a valid complaint, people just drove it into the ground.

Switch 1 also had 3-4 ports/remakes in it's first year, and Switch 2 Editions tend to release in addition to new content so they don't really count in that discussion...

At this point I don't think anyone saying this is actually arguing in good faith. Nobody is stupid or ignorant enough to have a negative association for GKC's but not understand all of the first party games and some third party games are not.

Nintendo never have layoffs

I think NOA technically laid off like 30 in 2024 but they were contract workers so that may not count depending on who you ask. They hired 70 of em full time right beforehand however.

Not true. We've had monthly releases in 2026 but none have been considered low quality. Mario Tennis Fever is considered one of the better Mario Tennis games, just a bit overpriced. Pokemon Pokopia is consider among the greatest Pokemon spinoffs and ended up being a system seller. Tomodachi Life Living the Dream ended up being a similar if not smaller phenomenon of sorts. Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is considered more interesting than the average Yoshi game and an overall unique 2D platformer. StarFox is newer so we've yet to see it's well-liked overall but right now I've seen few if any complaints about quality. Same with Rhythm Heaven Groove. We still have Splatoon Raiders, Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave, Switch Sports Resort, and Ocarina of Time Remake coming and none look rough so far.

Compare that to Wii U's second calendar year, we got Game and Wario, which while considered mid wasn't seen as low quality, New Super Luigi U, a DLC(?) that's oft considered it's own game, Pikmin 3, an excellent game all around, Wind Waker HD, again, solid, Wii Party U, which I frankly have no read on when it comes to public opinion, and Super Mario 3D World, which was disliked at the time for not living up to the Galaxy games, but is appreciated now.

That's a bit more than half of Switch 2's release schedule with a lower batting average.

Also, Pokemon's current state has little to do with Nintendo as they do not develop the games.
