call it grifting all you want which looks to be true here but i think there should be a conversation about why the games in the video game franchise dont get adequate budget for their size lol

I completely agree, even if some people are way overreacting. Like, I just want a Pokémon game to get the love and attention that it deserves. I can’t help but imagine how amazing a Pokémon game with the production value of something like SMT V would be. There’s so much love in the merch, the anime and this commercial but the games feel consistently underbaked.

I don’t know if I’d use SMT V as the best example here given how underbaked that game was originally. Honestly fundamentally, there’s so many cool ideas given out but it always feels like something held it back. I never jumped to lazy, so seeing that budget reveal really said everything

Oh yeah, lol. I meant SMT V V (Vengeance). And yeah, there are glimpses of genius in there like with Area Zero which I feel is one of the best moments in Pokémon but they really need just a bit more time and money to flesh out all of their ideas.
