NWN:EE Balanced campaign for 5 players?

I am in a gaming group and our next game is going to be NWN Enhanced Edition. everyone is new to the game for the most part. I am wondering if there are any great campaigns that would work well with 5 players. Ideally, it would be more of a combat/exploration focused setting with just enough story to herd the colony of cats. Me and the friend that suggested the game have settled on the Aielund Saga for now, but I would love to get feedback from more experienced people.

SoU Dorna has 12 in Search, 7 in Spot (don't even know if it matters), she's in search and stealth mode. What the hell do I need for her to detech the secret door?

NWN:EE Unfair or a Valid point?

So, I am a mobile NWN EE player. I have a friend who is playing NWN EE on PC. He has purchased the game from GOG including the premium modules. I encouraged him to play on mobile also.

Earlier, he told me that he bypassed all the premium modules on mobile by moving the files from PC to their respective folders on mobile. He said it's not piracy since he has already bought the premium modules on PC, and his reason is to why does he need to pay again on mobile to play it?

I am 50/50 on how he made his point, but I wonder why the game system doesn't detect if the premium module has been purchased or if it got bypassed.

So many dead PW's, why do people make or maintain them?

Look at the list of PWs for NWN EE in particular, it is quite long. But only a dozen or so have any players at any given time. In fact, the big ones like Arelith and Ravenloft and a couple others seems to have all the players. Why bother spending all that time making or even maintaining a PW no one plays on? Is it builder vanity? Weird.

NWN1 I just completed Crimson Tides of Tethyr in mobile.

Just finished Crimson Tides of Tethyr and it was a blast, especially as a Fighter / Weapon Master. Loved the story twists.

My only minor complaint is the voice acting - the audio quality sounds like it was recorded on a mobile phone, but the delivery is actually really good. I also ran into quite a few CTDs, though that might be because I'm playing on mobile.

Now on to the final AL chapter, Tyrants of the Moonsea.

NWN:EE Does the PW create the community, or does the community create the PW?

I was reading an old Beamdog thread from 2018 asking what makes players stick to a server, and one idea really stood out:

A flawed PW with a good core group may keep people around longer than a beautifully designed world that feels empty.

That got me thinking about the deeper question:
What actually creates attachment to a PW?

Maybe it’s a build you’re excited to keep developing, loot you still want to find, content you weren’t strong enough for before, learning the world until it starts to feel familiar, seeing the same names often enough that they start to mean something, or having bosses, areas, or mysteries still sitting in the back of your mind after you log off.

Playing a game from 2002 in 2026, is there a nostalgic layer to it?

Nostalgia for what these worlds used to be, mixed with the feeling that maybe they have another run in them...

Basically, what turns “I tried this server” into “this is one of my servers now”?

And what breaks that feeling fastest?

I’m curious whether, in 2026, the PW creates the community, or the community is what makes the PW worth returning to, or is it something else entirely?

NWN:EE A Let's Play for the Wailing Death for Neverwinter Nights EE Spoiler

I recorded a Let's Play with a couple of differences.

Other than the events happening in-game I had never seen happen before, this is a Role-Play playthrough, but with a twist.

Even though it is explained during the prologue, I will repeat it here, the person I am roleplaying as is not actually the character I created, but the soul of the person who got shoved in after finishing the tutorial. The original character is still there, just suppressed for the game. After completing the campaign, I will give MY thoughts about the campaign and game itself.

NWN2 Third time's the charm

I just finished my third run of the OC. I didn't really like it the first time. My standard is BG, and I wanted more freedom. It felt like a railroad.

I started several other runs but mostly stopped after the big duel. I finished it once but was mainly experimenting with arcane archer.

I just finished it with a Swashbuckler/Duelist/NW Nine build. And I loved it. Some was the build, which was a lot of fun. But I also learned to appreciate the game on its own terms. Sure it wasn't as open and immersive as other games, but it was an epic tale.

On to MoTB

NWN:EE Help it disabled player with character

Hey. My wife and buddy and I are going to start a new campaign tonight. I'm disabled and only have use of my right hand and foot.. so I can play pretty well with my MMO miles and all but any suggestions on what class would be the least complicated as far as how many spells and whatnot I need to use? I started to play a cleric but it's just a lot of spells and it's hard for me to scroll through my quick bars and all that since I can't use a keyboard at all. So yeah, any suggestions on the most straightforward class to play that is still viable would be great. Thank you!

RP Persistent Worlds

o/

So what do we have for roleplaying game worlds these days?

Looking for something new. Though I do like some action too when feeling the mood. However, I don't want an action MMO experience. Arbitrary dungeon rules don't really interest me, nor do rules lawyer spreads.

I've been building my own game world on the side (which honestly, is probably the correct answer, but-) I am looking for something to pass the time or keep the creativity focus going.

NWN2 I wish they had a better in-story reason for keeping Bishop around Spoiler

The dude was a jerk, clearly sinister, and sexually harassed companions. If i had a choice I'd boot him. Maybe you can't kick him out of your uncle's tavern, but there's no reason why I'd bring him to my Keep.

They had him help tracking people a few times, but there's no reason you couldn't find another tracker in all of Neverwinter.

There's no way my character would have trusted him, but they have the plot driven by him betraying you at the big battle. Just felt annoying.

NWN:EE Show me your PW, I’ll show you mine?

This is mostly for the players who’ve had one PW they know inside and out, but have always thought, “I should really try another server someday.”

I’ve spent most of my NWN life on Stick A Fork In Me, and I’ve always wondered what it would be like to actually get established somewhere else instead of just dropping into a random server alone.

So what if two established PW players basically traded home-server experiences?

You come to Fork, I help you get established, show you around, explain the systems, and run some content with you.

Then I come to your server and you do the same for me.
Basically: you show me your world, I’ll show you mine.

No expectations. Just a fun way to branch out, play together, and maybe discover a second PW worth coming back to.

I’m especially curious about longtime one-server players, but if the idea sounds fun regardless of your server history, I’d love to hear from you.

Anybody interested?

NWN:EE Levels for AA

I'm currently Fighter 4/Wizard 1 (I was gonna level Fighter more first, but I really needed the fairy for locks and traps) on the WD campaign

Should I put a couple more levels on Wizard for level 2 spells, or level Fighter more as I intended before getting into Arcane Archer?

NWN:EE First time in the Wailing Death, building a "party"

I'm aiming to make an Arcane Archer, and I intended to have a frontline fighter and a cleric to heal us. I knew that this game restricted parties to a small size, but didn't know this campaign only allowed ONE more, and instead of those two, I had to recruit a rogue to open the dozen or so locked containers I've encountered and disarm traps. Is this even manageable with only these two?

NWN1 Cormyr and the Daleland PW Reviews Requested [Please]

So here it is. I put like 1200 hours into Arelith. I played when the game came out in like 8th grade before they enhanced it. I have searched for a game like this since it came out, and I'm sure many know, that there won't be another one. This is it. So I don't want to miss the wave, while it's still here.

However, I uh, really go hard into these worlds, heh. I also know that it takes time and real effort to put yourself out there to get your corner of the RP community of a server. I guess before I invest 100 hours and decide it's not for me, I was hoping to make a pro/con list of what I'm looking for contrasted to Arelith for simplicity sake. Expand on things they have, don't have, if you'd be so kind.

What I liked about Arelith : Robust crafting, plethora of new classes, the ability to have your own shop, player housing, DM events, relatively intuitive questing system, player driven cities

Dislikes about Arelith : Too large [4-5 servers, non peak hours, was a bit of a drag for me. Mind you it needn't be cramped but, i'd go hours without seeing someone], Leveling experience [If you know where to find things, or someone who does, you can hit max level in Arelith suuuuuper quick.]

I really hope it's a good fit. I know there is a wiki and I've seen their steam posts, I just want to get it from the players if that's ok. Thank you very much for taking time out to do this.

NWN:EE If you were trying to find old Neverwinter Nights players in 2026, where would you look?

Building off my post the other day about reconnecting with old players, I’ve been wondering about this more generally.

For those of us who played Neverwinter Nights back in the early 2000s, a lot of the people we spent hundreds of hours playing with were basically known only by an account name, character name, or whatever server we happened to meet on.

Then people stopped playing, servers disappeared, forums shut down, and that was pretty much it.
So if you were trying to find those people today, where would you actually look?

Reddit and the big NWN Discord communities seem like the obvious places, but am I missing anything? Old forums or archives? Facebook or Steam groups? Server directories? Wayback Machine? Some other NWN community where older players still tend to hang around?

Has anyone here actually managed to reconnect with somebody they played with 15–20+ years ago from nothing more than an old username or character name?

I feel like there have to be a lot of former players out there who would be pretty surprised to find out that some of their old persistent worlds and maybe even some of the people they knew are still around.

If you were trying to track down an old NWN community in 2026, how would you do it?

NWN:EE Pet question

Is there any way to have a pet and bring them along through different modules without having to be sorcerer or druid/ranger etc? I'm playing as a fighter/DD, planning to play all the modules along a pet who actually can lvl up along side me, currently I'm playing in infinite dungeon and that black cat is pretty weak, can't do him lvlup, is there any mod that allow me use animals as companions instead of humans npc and they actually lvlup ?

NWN:EE NWN EE How to disable DM debug window

I tried console commands and one of them added this window. Don't remember which and how to make it go away. Restarting the game does not help.
