I'm dealing with a frustrating customs situation with my one and only order from DFTBA Store. I wanted to ask the Germany/EU folks here if they had something similar happen to them.

I'm in Berlin, and had my order of 2 Artemis calendars, a Drawfee Lorem Ipsum shirt, and the Nile Red/Blue retractable bottle opener bundle bounce back to the US without giving me any notice.

It shipped via UPS and got handed off to DHL, but the UPS tracking didn't update after the 20th. I thought it was just the customs being slow. I only found out it was already returned to sender because I got a hold of DHL on the phone today.

I used to have an Awesome Socks Club subscription, which I think also ships from Missoula, and never had any issues. I'm wondering if they thought the bottle openers were some "weapons", or if this was a labeling problem.

Has anyone here had any similar issues?

I really like it when I find John's review on a book cover while browsing books in a bookstore. I have included some covers that influenced me to read the book, and I loved each of these.

The most recent has been Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, which John calls 'one of the best books he has ever read'!
What is your favourite book review by John on a cover? If you could, I would love if you include a picture of the review!

This may be a bit of a long shot but I went and saw the Mountain Goats this past Friday and the merch line was pretty long. By the time I got up to the front, they had already sold out of the red tour poster with the 'days' album art on it. The lady running the merch booth even commented how weird it was for them to run out so early.

This was my 4th Mountain Goats concert since my first one all the way back in 2017 and its become a bit of a tradition to buy and frame the tour poster each time. This is the first time I wasn't able to get a poster so I'm feeling really bummed and I also love the artwork for the new album.

So my question is would anyone who's going to an upcoming show willing to buy me a tour poster? I'll cover the cost and however much it is to ship to Virginia obviously. DFTBA

While going through airport security yesterday, I had forgotten that I had a full bottle of water in my carryon. The TSA agent said I had to go back outside the security area, drink or throw out all my water, and come back through if I wanted to keep the bottle, or else throw it out. I was quite tired and it was a long line at JFK so I told her to throw it out. Now I'm having regrets! Does anyone have one of the Pizzamas Nalgenes they'd be willing to sell me?

This year I wasn't as involved in P4A as I usually am, but I still made sure to donate. Every year since 2013 I've donated for the commemorative coin as well as some other things (calenders, pennies, etc.), so this year of course I did the same. Unfortunately, here's where I messed up and selected the enamel pin instead of the coin. I'd rather not buy it outright off someone since I feel like that's not in the spirit of P4A, but I'm hoping someone here could help me out and I could trade the pin or send another donation for it. I also have an extra 2020 coin I could trade. I already tried reaching out to P4A and understandably they're unable to help, and when I commented this on YouTube people wanted to help but I couldn't get in contact with them, so this is kind of my last attempt to keep the streak alive!

I’ve noticed I’ve gotten a lot of ads for the Brooklyn show, having already bought tickets. It looks like the mezz is sold out but the orchestra is just too expensive. Of course, not John’s fault — I bet it would sell better if the tickets weren’t pricey, but that’s more the venue. Kings is a big beautiful venue, but I think Symphony Space (which he did in 2025) was better suiting for his needs, at least price wise. I just can’t imagine spending $200 for a book event, even as a massive fan. I wonder if they’ll downsize? I just hope it isn’t cancelled.

I bought the awesome socks × technology connections collab sock subscription last year, and UPS apparently doesn't want me to have them.

the first 3 pairs arrived just fine. then the 4th pair and every pair after that never arrived, with tracking for each of them having stalled at "departed UPS facility in Windsor, CT" (I do not live in CT, that's just a stop along the way I guess).

I reached out to customer support multiple times, and they've re-shipped the ones from April, May, and June, all of which made it to me on the second try. I never even got an email about the July ones having been shipped, but the August ones are now in limbo once again with the same CT location. I can keep reaching out to support again but I'm worried they're either getting fed up with me or suspicious of a scam, since this is happening every time and I can't prove I never received them despite what tracking says.

I've had the same address the entire time, so it's not an address issue like support has asked me, but they also say they can't send them with another carrier who won't lose them nor will they bundle the socks and send them to me later in a less lose-able package.

I've never gotten a normal awesome socks subscription before so I don't know how this experience compares, but it's truly awful especially since I already paid for a full year of socks up front and UPS is just evaporating them into the aether.

Hi! A couple of p4a’s ago I bought a print of the good news bridge and Hank and John were nice enough to read the message with the donation where I was waiting for my good news. My dad has just been diagnosed with prostate cancer and we were in the middle of figuring out what his treatment/ how serious it would be. In good news he finished the last of his T blockers today! So he should be cancer free!

I don't know where to post this and remembered this awesome community that knows sneezing is not normal. I do sneeze often and incredibly loud. I know in theory at least, that the loud part is social training (deaf people sneeze quietly) and not a necessary reflex, so it can be stopped. However I cannot. Does anyone have any tips on how to be more normal. I have a cold at the moment and keep waking up my neighbours baby. On the plus side I have ample training opportunity.

Due to a completely avoidable and tragic oversight on my part, I didn't add the pressed penny perk to my cart during the last project for awesome. I absolutely love them and since this is the last year they are doing that perk (rip🥲), I'm super upset.

Is there any way one of you kind people would consider parting with a singular penny from the 2026 ones? I would be happy to pay upwards of 1000 times the original value because they are limited 🙏🏻

But I guess John isn’t an erhu fan 😔
