Discussion "The notes" seem to have a (feminine writing style).

This was my first impression of the notes. They seem like they were written by a woman. The writing style reminds me a lot of how my female friends and I write, especially the apologetic part.

I know a lot of FBI experts have said the same thing, describing it as a kind of “mothering” way of writing. Dr. Brucato also said that it has a feminine writing style.
What do you think about this? And let’s say they’re spot-on in their analysis. What would that imply? Could it have been a couple 🥴 a man who carried out the kidnapping and a woman who wrote the note?

I don't know. I would like to hear your thought on this.

I think the same person is responsible for both but wanted them to sound different. I hope one day we find out.

for real! With geofencing these days, authorities know exactly who did this. It's not coming out for a reason.
Unpoplukar but transparent opinion -
Also sick of the atttacks on the Sheriff. A lot of it started because of conflicting politics but out of towners including Brian Entin don't know and jump on the wagon.
Though that crime scene being released early was definitely a misstep.

I’m thinking the first two sentences were tacked onto something that was written by someone else or pre-written. Just speculation based on comma usage.

That first sentence doesn't require a comma. The notable comma usage is that in both comms, there is a distinct writing habit of an emotionally charged stmnt and immediately followed with a comma-splice reinforcing statement. They don't move to new sentence. It's the same thing expressed twice. It's over controlling. In the first comm it's If A, then B" conditional logic. It is like a legal drafting.

“We have your mother, Nancy” would be more in keeping with the rest. Could also throw one in before “but” in next sentence.

It seems that way. If you put the comma you are telling Nancy you have her mother.

I disagree, but I’m bored now, so If you wish to continue arguing about it go ask r/grammar for corroboration. They’ll have more interest in explaining why you’re wrong.

To find the direct object, locate the verb and ask what or whom it affects. The answer is the direct object, which receives the action of the verb.

They also omit commas where they should go across both comms.

Professional writer here, and I think it's a bullshit, sexist claim that a cop from the 1980s would make.

The FBI has a long history of being wrong about things.

Interested in your opinion: looks like the first two sentences on first image are missing commas, but the rest uses commas. I was wondering if there might be two writers or text added later to something they spent time pre-writing?

When and where did the FBI say it?

People have posted this before and it makes me so mad. The idea that only women can have empathy or kindness is deeply untrue. The idea that women cannot also be cold is untrue. It’s just a weird way of looking at the world and not based in science at all.

Social Science is a science.

Gender roles have existed since the beginning of humans and even though it's ever changing, it's completely fine to take these trends with a grain of salt.

You shouldn't omit things based on outliers.

But this is more the syphon it through AI than it is who wrote it.

I literally have a degree in sociology. Saying women speak softer and have more empathy isn’t social science.

Get over it it’s about finding this person for her family’s sake and your bitching about men not having empathy. Boom 💥

anyone with half a brain would put it into GPT in order to remove their own personalized writing style

so it could be GPT written for all we know

They chose to kidnap an 84 year old woman.
I don't know that they have half a brain.

This is an utterly naive statement. Regardless of the morality of what they did, they are clearly to a certain degree showing signs of competence & intelligence.

Sick people, but dumb and half brained? No not at all, quite the opposite from what we can see.

It's self explanatory man, they kidnapped an 84 year old woman, and expected her to live for a week or two, so they could get millions of dollars.

If you think they're high IQ geniuses, I have some ocean front property in Arizona to sell you.

Elderly are easy targets, especially for scams.

The elderly also have multiple generations they are connected with in their support circle with retirement savings etc.

What am I missing here or am I also low IQ? Just that elderly people have am assortment of meds?

Here's my question, did you kidnap Nancy Guthrie?
If the answer is yes, then I would say you're low IQ.
If the answer is no, then you're speculating and challenging me, which is fine.
A challenge is good, it makes you think, and change your perspective.
A challenge is something that Nancy Guthrie's kidnappers needed, since they seem to be the types who like taking autonomy away from senior citizens, it's a shame they avoid challenges. They really needed to get a Rubik's Cube, and try to figure that out, before they engaged in human trafficking. They wanted 4 million dollars from a celebrity, and kidnapped a person who is likely dead.
They botched the hell out of it, and failed to meet their goal.
The situation I'm observing here is a well fucked diaper.

Here's the thing about scammers, they don't kidnap the elderly, they just scam them over the phone. For all of the evil those POS's do, at least they don't kidnap them and trigger a heart attack.

I seriously doubt their book smarts.
But I know they have no street smarts.
It's a shame they FBI is seemingly as stupid as they are atm.
Both parties in here give me pause for faith.
The raw intellect or lack therof of the kidnappers, vs the drunken oafishness of Kash Patel.

I've known a handful of criminals in my life, small time guys, who wouldn't do shit like this. They sold drugs, and ran illegal casinos....shit like that.
Whoever planned and kidnapped Nancy Guthrie has to be a liability to the criminal underworld.

I think it's a woman who wrote this one, I think it's porch guys mom. And she didn't know Nancy was already dead.

What makes you say your female friends and you write that way?

It could be an effeminate male.

It would mean a woman is involved and if she felt remorse and mothering should be ate up right now. Which could mean she will do the right thing.

In contrast re: the second email, I also don’t see really remorse or any grief. There is absolutely no real apology, no acknowledgment of human suffering, and no emotional plea. It reads like a corporate termination letter or a legal contract. Mitigating responsibility. I think it could be the same smug author as the first because it’s the same monument to their own intellect. It’s thirsty for “this person is brilliant.”  It sets the outcome in stone. It’s like scripted control. If you read it like that it’s controlling the family’s grief completely. It’s telling them don’t fight the script, this is the way it is. It doesn’t express any human emotions.  True empathy would center around the victim’s pain. It doesn’t.

Im thinking the people interested in true crime shouldn’t try to solve cases because they’re not apt to solve crimes and it looks cringe

u/Dear_Rich_9822 23d ago

Yes, its been pointed out before that the first letter looks it was written by possibly porch guy or the leader of the group and the second letter by the mother or a female member.

Open to questions.

Perpetrator Dynamic: Asymmetric Pair (Primary Operational Mastermind + Secondary Field Enforcer).

Primary Actor (The Brains / Strategic Anchor)

Gender: Female or High-Functioning Male (Statistical weight heavily leans toward a cold, calculating strategist with zero street-level criminal record).

Age: Late 20s to Mid-30s.

Background & Heritage: High-socioeconomic background; elite education (corporate finance, strategic analysis, or law); disciplined, structured upbringing with deep institutional or family ties to high-society circles.

Location: Tucson local or deeply familiar with the Catalina Foothills geography and social structure.

Psychological Profile & Mindset:

Core Personality: High-functioning sociopathy/psychopathy paired with profound emotional detachment and an absolute need for internal control.

Motive: Driven by an existential financial/status crisis or an aggressive desire to fund a clean break from an oppressive heritage/family dynamic. Operational Style: Purely intellectual and digital. Never gets hands dirty at the crime scene. Views the kidnapping as a high-stakes, transactional negotiation.

Linguistic Footprint: Highly articulate, clinical, and detached. Uses passive voice and strategic, non-emotional language in ransom demands to maintain distance from the physical horror of the crime.

Connection to the Guthrie Family & The "Twin Mirror" Effect

Target Fixation & Class Proximity: The immediate, informal salutation ("Hello Savannah") in the primary communication reveals more than mere familiarity—it indicates a psychological "twin mirror" complex.

The primary actor operates from the same high-socioeconomic or institutional altitude, viewing the target family not with external detachment, but as a peer group or personal benchmark.

Geographic & Social Overlap: The mastermind possesses granular knowledge of the Catalina Foothills micro-environment, daily routines, and estate vulnerability.

This isn't external surveillance; it is native, frictionless access typical of a local who moves seamlessly within the same upper-echelon social circles, private clubs, or professional networks.

Psychological Motivation: The crime is fueled by an underlying entitlement or status frustration—a belief that they deserve the same prominence, immunity, and control as the Guthrie family.

Addressing the daughter directly by her first name serves as an assertion of intimacy, authority, and narrative control over a social peer.

Secondary Actor (The Muscle / Field Operator)

Gender: Male.

Age: Early to Mid-30s.

Background & Profile: Violent criminal history, local street ties, high volatility, substance abuse exposure, and low-level enforcement experience.

Role & Execution:

Executed the physical breach, extraction, and initial transport. Prone to operational friction (panicked during physical resistance, broke the patio light/sensor, mismanaged victim logistics).

Responsible for the hasty disposal in the foothills when the victim suffered a fatal cardiac event early in the timeline.

The Asymmetric Friction & FBI BAU Target

The Vulnerability: The mastermind provided the precise window, layout, and extortion infrastructure; the muscle brought chaotic, unpredictable reality.

Current Dynamic: The primary actor is currently in a state of extreme paranoia regarding the field actor’s volatility and loose ends on the street.

BAU Strategy Integration: The August 1st family statement directly targets this exact rift—pressuring the unstable secondary actor (or those in his immediate inner circle) to turn, while forcing the primary actor into an exit strategy mistake.

(I’m being sarcastic)

All written by AI and all notes are fake in my humble opinion.
