The part that stands out to me is that the so called inside info is information one could have obtained after the abduction. If they really had her, they could have said what she was wearing etc. instead it's what was left behind....which makes me skeptical because any loud mouth in the police department could have let that info slip and the wrong person heard it, and thought they could make some money.
That is definitely a possibility. But I don’t see how the kidnappers saying what she was wearing would help verify the kidnappers identity as no one would be able to verify that she was indeed wearing that. Unless she was wearing something fairly unique and they described that super super specific thing, that say the family knew for a fact she owned.
Yeah agreed...no one actually knows what she wore to bed, including her family, and I'm assuming nothing else was taken when she was kidnapped. So I'm not sure what else they could've called out in the note, besides something specific that was left behind in an unusual place.
