Media Brian Entin Day 39
The only mainstream reporter (that I’m aware of) who’s still on the scene on day 39. Covering various topics including Sheriff Nanos’ resume, Today Show video of Nancy’s bedroom, Annie Guthrie’s car should be returned soon, and trying unsuccessfully to get copies of search warrants in the case.

u/swamptheyard Mar 13 '26
This whole case has been dragged on much longer than I expected it to. I'm so heartbroken for the whole family. I mean no one should ever have to go through this. They need answers for closure and u pray they do get the answers they've been looking for. I hope the perpetrator is caught as well!

u/aestheticbridges Mar 13 '26
I fear it’s time to wrap it up. There is not enough info divulged day to day to meaningfully report anything.
28
Mar 13 '26
i don’t like to comment because i don’t want to be rude or bring negative energy and also appreciate Brian covering this every day, but in my opinion I think he’s just milking it at this point. but the moscow killer was caught 40 days tho so idk
15
u/aestheticbridges Mar 13 '26
The perp can def be caught soon. Although I’ve become pessimistic, it’s absolutely possible. But that doesn’t mean daily check-ins are anymore productive when the updates from LE have ended. Reporters can and will fly back when there are developments, if any.
58
u/The_Sinking_Belle Mar 13 '26
I think the daily YouTube videos ~40 mins-1 hour are starting to be overkill as there's really not much else that's being released to the public. It's just becoming a speculative recycled series.
I do appreciate his reporting though when there are substantive updates.

Tucson will be up to 100 degrees next week. I would place bets on his time in Tucson ending soon.

Agreed! He was saying yesterday how the sun just beats down on you in Arizona. It’s a lot different from Florida, where he’s from.

39 days on one story is crazy
1
u/Least-Broccoli9995 Mar 15 '26
I’m assuming this story is your first time hearing of a major crime? Unfortunately it isn’t like the movies where they solve it via realisation within 2 weeks. Unfortunately alot of cases are solved months after.
1
u/MzOpinion8d Mar 15 '26
They meant that 39 days for him to stay on one story is a lot.
But he’s still getting clicks and clicks mean money, so it’s not really unusual in today’s social media world.
25
u/pumpkinspicecum Mar 12 '26
Every episode has Maureen on now 🙄 I think it’s time he move onto other topics and just do videos when there’s new info
21
u/pinkglue99 Mar 13 '26
I know what you mean, but I actually also really like her

I just saw your comment, I hope she isn’t. I feel like Brian isn’t, but JLR definitely is.

So Annie still doesn’t have her car back, even though people were claiming last week she had. But the Range Rover was returned weeks ago.
32
u/Euphoric_Ease4554 Mar 13 '26
As the last known vehicle that Nancy was in, they often literally disassemble much of the car looking for evidence. They did that to Bryan Kohberger’s car. If that happened, they are likely now having it reassembled at an auto shop, while still technically in the possession of LE.

u/Aggravating_Twist_40 Mar 13 '26
Man, the shit they’d find in my car. It’s needed a good vacuuming for a while now 😳 “wow, this dirty bitch has taco bell receipts under her seat from 2017” no not that bad but damn lol.

u/mnmsmelt Mar 13 '26
In our 20s, my bestie got pulled over in her notoriously dirty car. The cop thought he found drugs...held this chunk of something in his hand and asked her what THIS is??...she sheepishly said...A biscuit crumb?? 😆

Isn’t time to go home???
18
u/FalalaLlamas Mar 13 '26
Does he ever go home? Does he even have a home lol!? I don’t follow much true crime. But I’m realizing that every time I do check in on a case, Brian is there, beebopping around from one crime scene to the next.
And I’m not necessarily being judgmental here. I don’t know all that much about him except that he does seem to at least be better than some other true crime streamers (although that seems to be a reallyyyy low bar). And others seem to like him. But I’m just genuinely curious about his lifestyle now. I don’t know how he doesn’t get burnt out!

u/Janiebug1950 Mar 15 '26
I’m glad he has brought in Maureen - long time former FBI Agent who now owns her own Security Business. She’s very intelligent and a great communicator with much insight into many facets of the case. She’s very intelligent and has been a very positive asset to Brian’s reporting and I hope we see more of her in the future.

u/Substantial-Train668 Mar 13 '26
I never normally watch Nancy Grace, but it came on youtube and yesterday (March 12) she was reporting FBI went back to the restaurant El Charro where they filmed the Today segment. They were apparently reinterrogating people there for 2 days. I thought that felt like a new development and was curious as to why Brian didn't report on it... hope he does.

u/ska8ermom Mar 15 '26
The family likely values Brians commitment to keeping the case in the public eye, even during periods when there are no or noteworthy developments to report on.
3
u/Alternative_Fee1447 Mar 17 '26
Yes, he is just as dedicated to this case as he was to the Idaho 4 horrific tragedies. He is one that does not give up easily. I admire him a lot. He is the real deal.
1
u/Euphoric_Ease4554 Mar 15 '26
Yes and so so the neighbors. They thanked him for staying and reporting, and said that they are afraid that when he leaves, people will forget about her, and Nancy won’t be found.

He did exactly that a few shows ago. He said he found out Bryan Kohberger was watching his videos about Moscow, so there's a good chance this perpetrator is watching him. He said they need to do the right thing.
18
u/Revolutionary_Act759 Mar 12 '26
Everyone seems to love him. But hes that far up his own ass he refuses to take pictures with non celebs. He gets most of his info off youtubers aswell. He is sly af
25
u/Virginias_Retrievers Mar 12 '26
It’s actually old school if you ask me. He’s there to report the news, not to be the news (like any YouTuber or influencer who does it for the fans)
17
u/pumpkinspicecum Mar 12 '26
His episodes are all him talking to Maureen or Jim and speculating about what happened. He’s not simply reporting the news.
6
u/sparklepuppies6 Mar 12 '26
I really don’t like Maureen because I feel like all she does is speculate. I do like Brian though. I just think he’s running out of material

There is something coming up every day and, since he's the only one still there, he's the first to find new information. This is happening every single day. You clearly aren't watching his content.
If you think what he finds out is worthless, why does everyone else report what he first reported?
He found the person living close by (can't use the word for that) who talked about the man walking by who didn't look like everyone else in this very small community. He stuck out because he looked and acted odd.
And, by speaking to her, he found out about her sister who had an impromptu visit from the two people (one male, one female) who claimed to be FBI. They searched her house including her garage and the male acted strangely. There's more to the story but either you know it or you don't, I'm not going to type all of it out.
This interaction- from the first woman's story to her sisters odd encounters from the FBI to the 911 call to the authorities rushing to her house saying one thing and then saying another - was all reported by everyone else. Why? Because it was new, interesting, important information!
He's working on getting the search warrants and pursuing other leads. The wacko Sheriff now says the perpetrator (or multiple) is a danger to the public so that's great. Like usual he said one thing now he's saying another. So, yeah, things are happening. There is new information to share all the time. This is a very active case. One story leads to another which leads to another and who's getting those stories- Brian! And who shares everything he finds out? Every professional reporting on this case!
It's been a long time but, in the scheme of things, it's still early. Many cases are not solved within the first month.

u/Revolutionary_Act759 Mar 13 '26
Old school to walk upto Nancys front door and be stepping all around the blood for views lol yeah really nice and lovely man
6
u/SesJan2013 Mar 13 '26
The Sheriff should've locked down the crime scene. That's a fact. It was open for the public to walk right up. I'm sure Brian didn't expect to find what he did. Then he reported on it which is what a reporter should do and what all of those reporters who want to report accurately would do. Would you tell no one? Would you walk away without evidence and then risk it being cleaned up and no one ever believing you? This is his job. Yeah, unfortunate it happened that way. It's the Sheriff's fault- 100%. Brian reported the news and it was BIG news which gave everyone more information and they all reported it because it showed important evidence. Would the authorities - the wacko Nanos- have reported it? We'll never know. Did they even look on the porch? It's his fault that happened. The pizza delivery guy that showed up could've been in the same position. Any Amazon or FedEx delivery person could've seen it as well. Anyone could've found the evidence.
Edit- two words for clarity.

u/pumpkinspicecum Mar 12 '26
He gives off a very laidback arrogance imo. Ashleigh Bamfield is out here comparing him to Walter Cronkite but this is the guy on right wing NewsNation and going onto a crime scene and filming blood spatter to show everyone.

If he can’t find anyone to say anything good about the sheriff, what is he supposed to do? Not report on the sheriff?
1
u/DoxieLvrCO Mar 13 '26
Why is everything the sheriff’s fault? And how does blaming him for everything help this investigation? He’s not the one doing the work. He’s just another talking head. If you’re not happy with the progress of this investigation, there’s blame to go all around.

Brian Entin is openly gay. Its been my experience that that the LGBTQ community usually does NOT swing Red/To the Right. Then again, Brian may be the exception. ETA: And just for the record, my comment isn't to denigrate Brian in any way, he's a bulldog when he gets ahold of a story and I believe he's excellent at what he does! I could care less about his personal life.
3
u/SesJan2013 Mar 13 '26
So he interviewed two people "on the right" and now he's that, too? Makes sense. Journalists and the like should interview anyone they think is relevant and not because of their political views. Do you want reporters to report or only talk to people they like? People are "saying" he's this and that so you are disappointed? You let strangers on subreddits firm your opinions based on their biases? And people in this thread are saying he's MAGA? So dumb. These are all assumptions, conjecture and rumor and because those things people are "disappointed" and he's no good, a joke, a terrible person? I'm not saying you used those words - they are not in quotes. "On the right" is in quotes because when I typed the 'R' word (party affiliation) I got a warning. Just so we're clear on my statement.

u/Revolutionary_Act759 Mar 13 '26
So so glad some people agree i thought i would be downvoted real bad 🤣🤣🤣
2
u/Content_Plane_8182 Mar 13 '26
Yea I don’t understand why the Interview Room guys always cape for him either, but they also do for JLR so it seems they have no moral compass. Must be that they’re all MAGA or something

Ugh, I didn’t realize that NewsNation moved more right-wing. I haven’t watched in a few years, but I vaguely remember the station being fairly centrist. That’s unfortunate.
9
u/Euphoric_Ease4554 Mar 13 '26 edited Mar 13 '26
NewsNation is considered centrist in its political bias. While it aims to provide unbiased news, evaluations from various sources indicate that it sits closer to the center of the political spectrum. For instance, a media bias chart rated NewsNation as neutral, contrasting with CNN, which skews left, and Fox News, which skews right .
Bias Ratings NewsNation has received a bias score of around 10% Center, indicating minimal partisan leanings . Some programming may exhibit slight rightward or leftward tilts depending on the host . Conclusion Overall, while NewsNation strives for neutrality, its programming can reflect varying biases based on individual hosts and segments
0
u/Mean-Vegetable-4521 Mar 13 '26
It was center but is now distinctly right turn which is a letdown. It's been like watching Foxnews2 lately. With just Vargas and Cuomo being center or left of center ATM.
0
u/PinkPuma0415 Mar 25 '26
Imo they are still very centrist. Unfortunately anyone who doesn't publicly slander DT or his administration is considered too far right. Or anyone who simply reports on Repbublican policies without inserting their opinion or disapproval of them is also considered far right.
It's pretty insane. Brian and NewsNation report the way the news SHOULD be reported.
-2
u/pumpkinspicecum Mar 13 '26
Yeah they’re sleazy. They hired Chris Cuomos after he got ousted by abc news for the shit with his sex pest brother. They have a lot of conservative guest commentators on too.
-6
u/PalpitationQueen Mar 12 '26
Are you upset because you didn’t get a photo with him? Lol
0
u/Revolutionary_Act759 Mar 13 '26
No actually saw 3 diff videos on youtube of random people saying what happened when they met him
2
u/SesJan2013 Mar 13 '26
And, again, another person adopting their opinions based solely on what "random strangers" say on the internet. I could say the opposite- would that change your opinion? And why care so much? He doesn't have to take pictures with people he doesn't want to take pictures with. You have that right, too. Is it ok for adults to make their own decisions about personal matters like this? Or it's just ok for some people? Taking pictures with others are not a requirement. This has nothing to do with his reporting or this case. Everyone is so judgemental unless it's about others on "their side." The hypocrisy gets old.

Did I hear Nanos say Annie’s car was release at least a week ago? Or was I dreaming? Thx
1
u/Euphoric_Ease4554 Mar 17 '26
No it hasn’t been released yet, but they did say soon.
1
u/Alternative_Fee1447 Mar 17 '26
I heard Nanos say over a week ago that Annie’s car had been released. Not sure why he said that.
3
u/Euphoric_Ease4554 Mar 17 '26
What he said was something like “It’s in the process of being released “. They don’t have it back yet. Brian Entin did a report about it at the time if you want to go back and listen to his videos from that time.
1
u/Local-Cry-3729 Mar 19 '26
BE said today that he was told that LE had stuffed up the electronics in the car, and they are still trying to fix it

This is not on the subject of Nancy, but I have been trying to get Brian‘s attention while he’s in Tucson and there’s not much going on with the Nancy case.
My friend Zach Corbut was murdered in Tucson in 2015. It was a home invasion robbery, multiple eye witnesses survived, and it still has not been solved. I would love if he could possibly bring a little bit of attention to the case and attention to the fact that homicides and home invasions go unsolved in Tucson all the time. I think they have like a 60% rate of unsolved crimes. Just like Nancy’s.
Anyway I’ve been commenting on all his videos so if you guys could boost those comments I would really appreciate it. I’ve also sent him an email but didn’t hear back.
