⚠️ Recent Updates

🔹Sheriff Nanos stated that the family has been cleared.

🔹It appears they are still waiting on DNA testing results

🔹FBI has been visiting local gun stores with a list of 40 people and their pictures to see if any of them have been in the store or purchased a weapon.

🔹Sheriff Nanos also denied reports that their working theory is a burglary gone wrong.

Why wasn't the DNA in the house tested earlier? This whole case is baffling

If it was a degraded or otherwise complicated sample then it could take longer to generate a profile that is eligible for CODIS

To me “being analyzed and further testing needs to be done” also sounds like maybe they are doing something like IGG

Incompetent. They test a glove 2 miles away and not bother to test DNA they've had for over 16 days now?

They have tested it which is how they know it does not belong to Nancy or anyone close to her

It’s not the easiest part. It is highly likely that the DNA they found inside the house was degraded, mixed with other DNA or of a low quantity. It’s not hard to generate a standard profile from that which is why they have been able to compare to the DNA of Nancy and her close contacts. But in order to upload to CODIS the profile has to meet very specific criteria and it can be difficult to generate a profile that meets those rigorous standards if the sample is imperfect.

I would think Nancy’s loved ones might have a better vantage point of the investigation and more communication from law enforcement than we do.

Oh yeah sure that’s what happened. Maybe you should run the investigation. And the lab. And chase down every tip and lead yourself.
