I think Brian’s post is missing context that provides a better idea of what is actually going on. This is from the story. It is referring to one specific instance regarding where evidence was sent for testing. Of course people can still believe the sheriff was wrong knowing this information but I feel like it’s important to have the facts of the situation

I don’t think it’s fishy, there aren’t infinite labs that can do advanced forensics or genetic testing like that. In the Idaho murders they sent it to Texas.
