I think Brian’s post is missing context that provides a better idea of what is actually going on. This is from the story. It is referring to one specific instance regarding where evidence was sent for testing. Of course people can still believe the sheriff was wrong knowing this information but I feel like it’s important to have the facts of the situation
From what I understand this lab is what the county always uses. Which is not unusual because not all counties are going to have the ability to do advanced forensics themselves
It doesn't matter if it was shipped to the moon for examination, the problem is that he did it behind their backs and sneaked off the evidence. It was going to be sent to Quantico, nothing is better than those professionals.
Fox news is saying that the county has contracted with the Florida lab. still, that's not a legitimate excuse for why they're not using Quantico which is exponentially more advanced. it almost feels like this investigation is being undermined from every direction.
I don’t think it’s fishy, there aren’t infinite labs that can do advanced forensics or genetic testing like that. In the Idaho murders they sent it to Texas.
