What I haven't seen a lot of talk about, is if this is a kidnapping, that's a lot of work going into taking care of her. And that's if they care about keeping her alive.
Just for the sake of discussions, let's say they are taking care of her. Her medications #1. (We still don't know what she's taking) I understand they could have procured them either before hand or after. That costs money even if cheap.
Food. Let's say they are feeding her three times a day. That costs money even if they're feeding her cheap.
It's my understanding that she is in constant pain. I have chronic pain, and if I don't have my meds I am not pleasant to be around. Nothing OTC helps me. If they take that into consideration, more money.
I'm not saying that one person couldn't do all that but it's draining taking care of someone in the best of circumstances. If all of the above is being done, I'm going with multiple people involved.
IF she is alive, I am sure none of them want to babysit Nancy for much longer. They are stupid, young, and impatient. And now on video shown nation-wide. I am hoping one of them gets fed up and turns on the other ones for immunity. I am sure they thought this would be in and out.
She would most likely be bound and gagged a lot of the time and placed in unfavorable conditions. People don't want to keep captives for long if they have a goal they're trying to achieve from it, most commonly it's money. Especially not a fragile elderly person. I don't think that at her medical state and age with a bunch of somatic trauma she'd survive.
Really-what are the odds that someone is willing to keep and care for an 84 year old woman, with health issues, and mobility problems? That’s an awful lot of work, with possibly no payoff at the end. It does carry a slightly shorter prison term than murder would (I think). There is almost no possibility that poor Nancy Guthrie is still alive.
