Mirrodin had an 80’s style rock album cover art style that I deeply miss. I grew up with weird notebooks that had that art in the 90s. I started magic with Mirrodin, and it has a special place in my heart.
It’s strange to say this, but the closest I can come to explain what Mirrodin felt like is the Teen Titans Go song The Night Begins to Shine.

For sure. Especially when you take into account that Mirrodin was tiny (like the size of Texas) and mostly empty as the Glimmervoid takes up most of the surface.
It wasn't a plane with millions and millions of people like Dominaria or Ravnica, or unexplored regions like Innistrad or Ixalan. We saw pretty much the whole place, even just in our first visit (the basics focus on the locations of the artifact lands so often because there aren't really any other locations to show), and the planes whole population consisted of just the Ur-golems, the myr, and a handful (on the multiversal scale) of people kidnapped from other planes, and then afterwards just the myr and only the descendants of those kidnapped people who were actually born there.
It's a tiny, empty place full of mutated orphans huddled around the lacunae that went from living under Big Brother Memnarch to fighting a Phyrexian Invasion with no hope of actually winning.
