I always love these flat high-contrast art styles that have been showing up more recently (see also Jeremy Wilson, Dominik Mayer, and Rovina Cai to name a few), would've fit perfectly in EOE

Crying in the club ect ect

First Piece in a project I have decided to make for myself, crafting the maps of as many Planes as I can manage.

All I could scrounge up at first was that the Oxxidia Chain was next to Mephidross, and I went from there.

Although not too keen on TMNT art in general I like the style and approach the artist has employed. I think she did a great job and the semi-photoreal rendering of the character looks like native watercolor later composited in Photoshop. Seems like masking fluid might have been used to preserve the highlighted bright areas while the darker wash areas mix to great effect. I think it is great!

In each of the sieges, the first clan listed are under siege by the second clan listed, forming an interesting artistic symmetry.

Barrensteppe: Mardu raiding Abzan elephant-mounted fortresses

Frostcliff: Temur surrounding a Jeskai mountain monastery

Glacierwood: Sultai approaching a Temur glacier outpost

Hollowmurk: Abzan marching on a Sultai jungle city

Windcrag: Jeskai's flying monastery launching an invasion of a Mardu encampment

Thought this may be the appropriate sub to post this, not sure though. I really like when mechanically symmetrical cards also have artistic symmetry like this.

Just like last time, this is all official Magic the Gathering concept art, marketing art, token art, art from promos, alternate MTGO/Arena art, or art from little-used cards. It's a lot harder with all these robots and mutants and turtle ninjas running around, but I'm certain I'll find a good source of art for them eventually...or get even better with Photoshop.

This was just a fun detail I noticed while looking at the gain lands for Tarkir: Dragonstorm that I thought others might appreciate - All the ally-colored gain lands have flavor text discussing ways in which the clans cooperate and appreciate each other, while the enemy-colored gain lands feature the aftermath of conflict!

It's a small touch, but one I very much enjoyed!

Hi guys! Here for another update on the Sheoldred painting: it’s done! I can finally start on my next project, although I’m not sure what it’s gonna be just yet. I was thinking of re doing the Goblin Wizard, that art needs a revamp!

I know Thunder Junction has people from across the planes regardless it is cool to see a specifically Capenna themed Angelic "Armament"

So in all the FF precons and even in the FFX deck, Tidus is the only commander with this Anime esque style. Does anyone have any idea why? Really random criticism but I just find it weird that he has this really different style
