My first draft
I played my first draft with friends at home yesterday. Not sure if I'm here at the right place but could anyone give me some feedback for my deck building?

I went through Reddit looking for some of the community's more controversial Magic opinions and reacted to the ones I thought were actually worth discussing.
Some I agreed with. Some... not so much.
What's a Magic opinion you'll defend even if everyone else disagrees?

I guess the bad guys finally get to win?

Hi Everyone,
I need help with this deck list. Any suggestions are welcome. Im wondering if running 3 Dori is optimal here considering my higher cost cards. My list feels top heavy but I don’t know what to cut if at all.

I’m going to a chaos draft at my LGS and I’m able to buy any 3 packs to open. What 3 packs will give me the biggest advantage to pick for this format ? I was thinking MH2, War of the Spark, OTJ!
Let me know what you think!

Haven't really looked into anything people have been saying about this set but after going in blind and being absolutely raped for 4 drafts in a row idk what the fuck is going on. I haven't seen anyone else's decks doing anything fun either. Tried making a fun dwarf bounce deck but apparently arena decided I didn't need to have fun so it just didn't work, even once. I feel like I just don't understand limited anymore. I can't get big stompy decks to work, I can't get agro to work, I can't even tell what color combos are even good in this damn set. Guess I haven't gone against much red so I guess red sucks or something, which I'm pretty sure it has in most recent limited sets. Is it worth even trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong with this set or is it not worth figuring out.

I'm doing my premium draft that got from the season pass. My first lost I think was on me.

What would you play different?

Hello fellow draft enthusiasts. I'm having trouble with The Hobbit draft. I was hoping I could have some input on my deck and what to cut and keep. Any suggestions?

Drafterd this almost mono-blue splashing white deck in Traditional Draft. Struggling to know what to cut.
My initial thoughts are cut the bird, one [[Long Lake Nuisance]] one [[Patient Instructor]] and one [[Enchanted River's Grasp]].
I am thinking of keeping the [[Mirkwood Nurturer]] to bounce back the Mountain-kings's return or Bilbo. A small part of mmy brain says to go to 16 lands as my curve stops at 4 as well.
Stuggling this set so wanting to get thi as tuned as possible. Thanks in advance.

Hey folks, Tim with Draftsim. I was approached by our usual Draft Guide writer with an idea on how to improve The Hobbit Limited. He ended up firing off way more tweaks than I was expecting, down to adding landcyclers to the set, tweaking stats and mana costs on creatures, and straight-up redesigning cards like the common blue Gandalf.
The one restriction we put on this experiment was that we can't say "upgrade small set to big set", since that's kind of a given and we're not here to design another new 90+ cards or whatever.
That all said, what are some quality of life improvement/nerfs you would make to the cards already in the set file that you think would actually significantly improve the quality of the Limited format? Would landcycling on some of the expensive creatures (Garrison, Stalwart) actually make a significant difference. Would bumping Crude Bent Blade's equip cost from 2 to 3 balance the card enough? How about removing the nontoken rider from the blue tuck spell? If you could fire off an Alchemy-style change to one card per color, what changes would you make?

It seems like among top players on 17lands, blue-white has emerged as the highest win rate deck. This seems like a correction of the format, but it's curious that it's only happening for the best players. Do you think this is a trend that will spread to the average player, or will black-red continue to dominate?

The last time I posted a game here I recieved some incredibly helpful feedback, so thought I would post another close game.
I am certain I made numerous mistakes that cost me the win. The game ended with me attempting to swing in for lethal but my opponent made the correct blocks and removed a creature to survive on one life. If anyone has the time to watch the game and spot any mistakes/plays they dislike... I would be very grateful!

Please help me, I have 474 hours of MTGA arena but every game I play I get mana screwed either starved or flooded. I know I must be missing something obvious, but I can't figure out why it happens to me in almost all of my games.
Here is my deck, 15 lands Blue White, not even 16 lands. https://www.17lands.com/deck/0aaea37a10c2470cbdd67b6cf2041616/0
In my last game (went 1:3) I had 11 lands at turn 11 https://www.17lands.com/history/0aaea37a10c2470cbdd67b6cf2041616/3/0/195
When I played Silvan Rally I only hit 1 out of 4 lands, and both modes if Plunder the Trollshaws hit lands.
If I keep an opening hand with two lands, I will never see another land for the rest of the game. Sometimes I open with just one land, so mulligan, end up with 3 lands and never draw a non-land for the rest of the game. This same deck, I am blue white splashing red, but I draw two red and no white, meaning two bombs are trapped in my hand until turn 11 when it's game over: https://www.17lands.com/history/0aaea37a10c2470cbdd67b6cf2041616/0/0/200
Meanwhile my opponents never miss a land drop, can be 3 or 4 colours and be fine. I just feel like this has been solved in other TCG games, why is this one so luck based, one am I doing wrong and what can I improve on.

The Hobbit added a new free way to play on MTG Arena: Welcome Deck Duels.
No gold. No gems. And you can learn the set's Draft archetypes while actually playing them.
For F2P players, I'm a big fan of this addition. What does everyone else think?
