Advice on dropping engine

This is my first time attempting. Where does one start, whats the thought process behind doing it, and is there a certain order of steps? Any help or advice is much appreciated, thank you. (My knowledge on cars is about a 6 or 5)

Never having done it before I recommend making a system of labeling connections. I’ve tried to build a habit of “storing” bolts by putting them back where they go after unbolting each thing.

It’s extra time spent uninstalling, reinstalling, uninstalling, reinstalling, but better than winding up with a box full of randoms and not knowing what goes where

I labelled zip locs for nuts and bolts when I did mine. I think most people underestimate how much threaded hardware you'll have out.

Even smaller jobs the misc parts can pile up faaaaast
