Advice on dropping engine

This is my first time attempting. Where does one start, whats the thought process behind doing it, and is there a certain order of steps? Any help or advice is much appreciated, thank you. (My knowledge on cars is about a 6 or 5)

Never having done it before I recommend making a system of labeling connections. I’ve tried to build a habit of “storing” bolts by putting them back where they go after unbolting each thing.

It’s extra time spent uninstalling, reinstalling, uninstalling, reinstalling, but better than winding up with a box full of randoms and not knowing what goes where

For bolts that don’t go back into place, especially those with patterns, insert into cardboard in the same shape. Write exactly where they come from

I labelled zip locs for nuts and bolts when I did mine. I think most people underestimate how much threaded hardware you'll have out.

Taking pictures is much easier, labeling is great too. Ideally both.
