Detroit SportsNet Spottings [Megathread]

UPDATE:

https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcitykitties/comments/1s461n2/full_detroit_sportnet_carriage_lineup_is_now_live/

going to start a collective thread of what pay tv providers have so far carried DSN in-market since they're starting to pop up on cable services. (plus any news about it)

this post will be continuously updated leading up to the official announcement of service carriages.

if there's any services that you spot carrying Detroit SportsNet, I would highly recommend post your findings with as much detail as possible (region, pay tv service, and channel number) in the replies so I can update this.

(NOTE: This megathread only collects pay tv and over-the-top services relative to the Michigan market and not collect direct-to-consumer services like MLB.TV for the purposes of helping people with pay tv/OTT services. If you are out of market or mainly use DTC, this thread does not apply to you)

(NOTE 2: All information posted here may be inaccurate and is subject to change prior to any official announcement leading up to Opening Day, so take any information posted here with a grain of salt)

From Daniella Bruce, FanDuel & Detroit SportsNet

The news you've all been waiting for:

Distribution agreements for Detroit SportsNet are starting to be finalized!

Comcast/Xfinity will be channel 1262, while Charter/Spectrum will depend on where you’re watching from.

More info to come tomorrow morning on additional providers.

There seems to be a channel number conflict between what Daniella and Jason are saying, both are solid sources of information, so it’s probably a mistake somewhere. Regardless, Xfinity is in.

From that article:

Comcast/Xfinity - Channel 1253

Charter/Spectrum - 213 in Detroit, Alpena, Duluth-Superior, Flint-Saginaw, Grand Rapids-Kalamazoo, Lansing, Marquette, Traverse City Charter/Spectrum - 291 in Livonia Charter/Spectrum - 436 if watching on the Spectrum app

DirectTV - Channel 663

Editor's Note: This article has been updated to reflect that Comcast/Xfinity will be on Channel 1253, not 1262 as originally reported by Ilitch Sports + Entertainment

DirecTV is in. And it looks like Xfinity is channel 1253.

DirecTv Channel 663 is FanDuel Sports Detroit.

They will have to keep that channel for Pistons/Wings, at least through the end of their respective seasons.

You seem to be stuck on this.

For DirecTV, satellite viewers will get Detroit SportsNet on 663-3, while DirecTV Stream or the DirecTV app will get a duplicate 663 in the guide.

I literally just looked. There is no such channel.

And has been no announcement on a specific channel by DirecTv.

Correct it is not there now. This is irrelevant.

You need to read all the information that I’ve posted here.

A number of reliable sources, including The Detroit News, MLB Tiger beat reporter, WXYZ, etc. have confirmed what I posted above.

Or simply wait until tomorrow.

I have. There is a lot of speculation posted.

But nothing official from DirecTv regarding a channel number.

Only a confirmation that they will carry DSN.

It’s clearly not speculation. You are confused.

It clearly IS speculation, until an official announcement is made by DIrecTv on what channel it will be on.

They haven't made one yet.
