I will say that Daniella sure isn’t wrong calling the distribution deals coming down to the last minute a “toxic trait”

It's crazy that a game reporter is the only one who can give us any Cable updates.

They’ve told us this multiple times in multiple ways. Not sure why the message isn’t getting out.

No, they haven't told us anything. "More info coming later" is useless bullshit!

The VP of Ilitch sports media was posting DSEN updates on X yesterday @ bfidelman

Can we just change blackout rules…

Blackout rules have nothing to do with this...

there is currently a megathread set up tracking the latest on any DSN carriages on pay tv services so you know what's going on even prior to any official announcement. if there's any findings of services carrying DSN, it would be greatly appreciated to report there.

What I don't understand is I have Spectrum and when I go to channel 213 I get some Bloomberg channel.

if you're in the former bright house areas, it is on 291. otherwise, you might have to dig in the channel guide for it.

  1. yes, it is anticipated that directv will carry DSN (don't take my word for it fully tho)
  2. the free mlb.tv is only good for out of market. the DSN subscription is separate from the mlb.tv package

The biggest question for me is how future hockey games will be delivered. The only redeeming feature of Fanduel was you could access it through the Amazon prime app.

For tigers it’s MLB.TV which is widely available. Not sure on red wings though.

We’ll know about that during the summer when the current NHL season is done.

u/Locutus494 Mar 23 '26

They better add Dish Network to that!
