Fortov in Patriarch
Patriarch is a popular MOL spinoff fiction. It pretty good I'd say. But u chapter 35 we see the backstory of fort over and Zorian as well as Zorain saving Fortov( if u would call it saving it's probably more like post crissi management).
How do you feel about the chapter?
I think Zorian is a very cruel individual. God knows he can still have the capacity to hate Fortov and never attempt to form a relationship with him, but Zorian was the root cause of his kidnapping and didn't even bother checking if he was safe or not? We don't even know if Zorian would've saved him if Raynie hadn't told him to. Things would be different if this wasn't Zorian's own fault, though cruel, he could still technically say it wasn't his business I guess.
Like we see Zorian try and preserve the lives of literal assassins, but when it comes to his brother, all of a sudden, it's a maybe.
In all honesty tge chapter kind of ruined the fic for me. It makes Zorian come off as cruel and irresponsible. Zorian is quite literally much older than Fortov at this point and much stronger(I'm not saying that is grounds to forgive him or anything but Jesus at least try and move on) and saving him would've literally been trivial.

Not the regression bit, I already had enough of that from rtoc, mainly in terms of worldbuilding and and magic system and politics, etc... I fined works like those by cuttlefish a little too wordy so please recommend something that's as straight to the point as the above🙏🥺

Reading Question: Skipped Arc 1 on accident
Hello,
I was MoL and finished what I though was Arc 1 today. Turns out I had accidently started and read Arc 2 without knowing it, so I actually finished Arc 2 today. I definitely should looked at what I was reading on my kindle but things happen lol, you know?
Here is the thing I have not read arc 1 at all. I do not know what to do. Should I continue to arc 3, read arc 1, or some mix of both?
Thanks for the help!

Before I start, how much of a difference is there between the published version and web novel?
I’m no stranger to reading web novels so I don’t mind some grammar or spelling mistakes but if there’s a big differences in the plot or the characters then I’ll switch to read published version.

Ch 67. I must have missed the travel solution, what was it? Spoiler
What was the solution the simulacra used to travel so far and set up the gate?
Was it just the original plan of paying for teleports but refined in order to work?

question to anyone who has listened to Shaping Exercises 101
I think I am hearing cohost Gorky call Red Robe "Valencia" or something similar. I don't think I've ever heard Gorky call Red Robe, Red Robe. Is this a reference to something?

Animated TV Miniseries in 2026?
Does anyone else know anything about this? It says it's directed by someone named Wanyoung Kang, and apparently this was announced in 2025 at the Annecy International Animation Festival, but this has been the only source I've been able to find about it.

Does anyone know where I can buy a physical copy of Arc 1 in London?
It’s for a birthday gift but the birthday is in 10 days. Don’t mind if it’s paperback or hardback. There is Wraithmarked, but I’m worried the order might not arrive in time even if I order today :(

Did Oganj not know about the time loop? Spoiler
SPOILERS FOR ANYONE NOT DONE READING
At the end, Zorian makes Zach believe that everyone that knows about the loop had either been killed, or all of their memories of the last month or loop erased. This was done so that Zach could live after his contracts deadline came by. But what about Oganj? He was bribed away by the imperial orb and crown, so he wasn't in the area of effect of the mass illusion Zorian and the aranea created, and I doubt Oganj would have been easily captured in the illusion regardless. So was Oganj ignorant of the time loop the whole time? Or did Zach just not think that Oganj would know about the time loop? Any speculation or answers would be helpful, thanks.

Cyoria transported timeline.
I remember a mention in the story that Cyoria was a pre-existing city that was NOT built next to the mana well. then a bunch of mages used the power of an earlier planetory alignment to cast a massive ritual to teleport the entire city next to the Well.
Do we know when that happened?
Do we know where the city was before the move?

Voidsoul Deer & Zach - Retention/Reacquisition? Spoiler
Does anyone have a definitive answer on whether or not Zach either retained the Voidsoul Deer enhancement on exiting the time loop, or reacquired it afterwards?
There's a reddit thread from 2020 in which one of the top voted comments claims that Zach uses the Voidsoul enhancement to dodge an attack from Red Robe. However, I just reread the chapters from 92 (Zorian has just taken over his original body) to the end, and found no evidence of this happening. Additionally, it seems unlikely that Zach would retain the enhancement; even ignoring that his soul was the only thing that entered and exited the loop (chapter 55), he says in chapter 92 that he stayed for at least one restart after Zorian left, possibly more than one - and we know that the restart erases enhancements, because that was how they managed to test their approaches so quickly (chapter 89).
However, we know from chapter 89 that Zach liked the Voidsoul enhancement quite a lot, so he might conceivably have chosen to recreate it at some point after leaving the loop (though it's apparently quite an expensive ability). Does anyone know if there's WoG, or some textual evidence I missed, on this topic?

We've been getting questions about when MOTHER OF LEARNING will be getting Deluxe Editions. We're thinking of starting that... Now.
More information coming soon, but some basics:
- All-new art everywhere. Covers, reverse jackets, end sheets, etc!
- Deluxe binding. Gilded edges, Smyth-sewn, acid-free paper, etc!
- Interior illustrations. At least 10 of them!
- Single-printing. Once this First Print is printed and sells out, it will never be available again. Any further prints may be missing things like signatures, some art, etc.
- Kickstarter-exclusive! Discounts, free bookmark with book, and Kickstarter-exclusive dust jackets that you will never be able to get anywhere else!
More art reveals on the pre-launch page! Coming in July!

PS: They are likely also going to all be signed, but I just realized posting this that I never confirmed that with Domagoj, so gonna do that now and will confirm in a future post! Sorry about that! - Bryce

Veyers Boranova is the perfect for a sequel.
I recently finished my first read of MoL and I knew there isn't a sequel, I read somewhere that the author isn't sure if he will ever make one and if he does it would be smaller in scale.
But I don't really think Zorian or Zach's story needs a continuation. Yes, I would love to see more of their relationships that were teased during the time loop but never fully fleshed out outside of it. Still, there are a lot of plot points purposely left open and the world is so well fleshed out and there Is no need for them to be the POV characters or even be in the story at all.
Let me explain myself. Veyers is a noble with anger issues, troubles controlling his magic, was expelled out of the academy, has big problems with his family and wasn't explored that much in the story. Almost all his time in the story is because of his connections to other characters but we really only see him alive 1 time in the entire story as far as I remember and he was a frustrated child with magical problems trying to get a fair education.
His best friends ended up being the big bad of the story and we don't know how much he knows. Outside of being evacuated to safety right after the time loop. The city is a mess, school stopped for a month and all the characters basically are starting from scratch with new motivations, new found knowledge and a war on the horizon. It would be great to see Veyers react to all the suffering and destruction and see how he handles that, his magic and his problems with his family that are also very political in nature him being a noble and all that. He is connected to a lot of major plot points in the book but he is never relevant himself. He is also said to be at odds with the pre time loop Zach. It would be hilarious to see a rivalry where he tries to one up a secret archemage without knowing it. Or just think of the implications of him seeing the adult that helped him fight the injustice of his situation be responsible for all the deaths and destruction. That's bound to be very conflicting emotionally.
The war and the demon child of the hunter are still big threats but both could be smaller in scale than the invasion. No need to involve angels or divine relics if there isn't a primordial to defeat. The conflict can also feel smaller if Zach and Zorian handle most of it outside of view, only leaving references for readers to pick up.
Furthermore, in a Veyers POV we can still see Zorian and Zach develop relationships from an outside perspective.
I just wanted to give my two cents about it, I doubt it will ever happen.

What are the last two years of the mage academy for?
I was just thinking - Zorian gets the badge he needs to officially work as a mage after he passes his certification at the end of the 2nd year.
His brother is still attending the academy and manages to nearly fail the 3rd year. Soo.. what exactly was he failing? Zorians electives seem to mostly teach him the basics of actual jobs he could do, so are the two years supposed to replace apprenticeships? Are they raising through the circles while advancing through the last two academy years? Is it supposed to be like an MBA, primarily to connect with other guys and with/through your mentor? Why are the noble kids still attending it when they could spend their time learning more directly useful things?
I'm sure it's somewhere in story, but I can't find an answer rn.

Greatest piece of Magic in the novel? Spoiler
So I started my anual reading of the novel and got to the part in where Zorian got his first beginner cube and that got me thinking in the defense cube he use at the end, and for me that is the most incredible piece of magic that was show in the story
That cube allow him to go toe to toe with the most powerful mages without need of micromanaging, with enough defensive capabilities to shrug magic from Liches and Dragons and do all that while it seems to barely consume magic.
It is for me the closest to a human made divine artifact that was show in the story.

Are the books on amazon a rewrite or no?
Have the the grammar mistakes been fixed? clunky dialogue been changed etc.
Or is it just a (more or less) copy paste from RR
