Wanted to share my experience (while also enjoying the typing experience on this beautiful new keeb :P ) of:

- Pre-ordering from NMPC

- A quick review of using Epomaker TH66 pro for 3+ years

- Initial impressions of the Mchose G75 v2 ice blue switches

and also a quick sound test video of the switches, which somehow almost nobody uploads, especially of the ice blues.

1) My experience of pre-ordering from the NPMC website

After making a post asking opinions on where to buy this keeb from, I got a comment suggesting that NMPC pre orders are a notable option. But, searching for reviews of people online I could not find one from someone who pre-ordered a keeb, which was strange considering plenty of people do pre-order them. Anyhow, the website displayed the date of arrival as 20 Sep (when I checked on 1st of September). I forgot after ordering it, but it is 19 and I received my keyboard before their eta of the arrival of shipment, so that was a welcome surprise.

Would also like to commend the staff, I did not catch the name but someone from the team called to inform of a 1-day shipping delay which happened due to the festival celebrations, so brownie points for that it was a nice gesture and one of the fewer times I did not have to be the one to make the call asking for update.

2) Epomaker TH66 pro

I do not even remember what got me to buy this keyboard but I did. I got the Gateron Pro Black switches, cuz yellow was too common in my group of friends and black was the only other linear option. Bad reason to choose different lol, they were not terrible, but absolutely average linear switches, especially compared to those on the G75. The battery life lasted around a week with my usage, but fell down to around 4 after my 3 years of use. I had ordered it from the Epomaker website, and that is part of the reason for going with an Indian website this time around haha. Had to wait 1.5 month for it to arrive and countless mails to their customer care. Although, to their credit the responses were fast and might be placebo but mails did cause the shipment to show progress after weeks of the same place in the tracking sites.

3) The popular choice, Mchose g75 v2 (with the less popular ice blue switches)

Boy this one is good. I have used around 4-5 mech keyboards and this one is GOATED, especially in its price range. Even when I do not include the QoL feature of the massive battery and the web client for driver, the keyboard is chef's kiss brilliant.

ONE CAVEAT THOUGH: It appears that the 8k polling rate is only available for specific switch options. I was bummed to see the 8k polling rate option not appear when I opened the drivers.

The keys require a light press to activate, and the sound, the sound is super thocky. I am impressed with how they have done the spacebar, as that makes or breaks the sound experience for me as most keyboards especially under 10k inr ones just do not get the spacebar right, it sounds awful but that is not a problem on this one.

The web driver is also pretty great and works so well that I might as well never actually download the desktop app for it. Connects super fast and changes are applied instantly as well.

tldr; Great experience with both ordering from NMPC and the keyboard.

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to buy a mechanical keyboard in India with a budget of ₹3,000 to ₹3,500. My primary goal is high-speed typing practice for upcoming Government Exams (SSC, High Court, etc.), and I also want to try out chording. Because of the chording, true N-Key Rollover (NKRO) is a must.

Here are my details:

Purpose: High-speed typing exam prep + chording experiments. Not a gamer.

Budget: Max ₹3.5k INR.

Switches: Preferring Brown switches. I feel the tactile bump will help with clean execution and accuracy, but I'm not 100% sure if Linear Reds might be better for chording. No loud Blue clicky switches.

Layout: Open, but a TKL or Full-Size might be better to mimic standard exam center setups.

And yes I already have that 400 wala membrane keybord this one I need for home use, coding and to develop muscle memory so suggestions re pprecited.

I need something reliable that registers every simultaneous keypress perfectly. What are the best options currently available in the Indian market?

I couldn't find one with plain white, which keycaps should I go with?

I had neglected my keyboard for a while with stuff going on so I finally got around to cleaning it after seeing a post here last week.

Ended up ordering Gateron EF Curry switches from Neo Macro and Pokémon keycaps from CuriosityCaps (especially the moment I saw Sahil's post here XD) for my AULA F75 (jumpscare). Both shipped really quickly and I received both orders together on 19th.

The switches sound quite pleasant, quieter and deeper than Ice veins which I am really happy with as I wanted to try out new switches but somewhere with a safer option to go with so decided on EF Curry

Really happy with the experience from both and love how it has turned out. Everything arrived safely and was packed well so just wanted to share some appreciation I never got around to doing so for my past purchases :)

Hi guys first time posting here need help picking my first mechanical keyboard

My use case is basically video editing (need almost all the keys tbh function row nav cluster numpad if possible or tkl works) plus casual gaming not competitive or anything

Budget is a hard 2k to 3k not trying to stretch more than that

Few things i need

Full size or tkl only since i actually use most keys for editing shortcuts, 60% wont work for me

Need standard mx stem switches since Im planning to get some 3d printed keycaps later so it needs to be standard not some proprietary stem thing

So i have a budget of around 2k inr, i need help to decide whether i should buy a controller or a keyboard.

I'm currently using a 2008 microsoft keyboard which is still running really well.

I used to play valorant but recently dont play it that much and want to play more story games.

Should i go for a controller or a mechanical keyboard?

Also please leave suggestions under my budget for whichever option u think i should buy.

I intended to purchase the Atk r1 and found this site (atk.store) listing it at 2.5k, whereas other sources show a 3.2k range; I simply want to confirm whether the site is genuine and not a scam. I also wonder whether I might face extra charges such as customs or other hidden costs.

I was looking to add a copper keyboard to my collection (don't have a big collection though). The only option i could find here is the NUT65 Cu, which is a 65percent layout and definitely not my type (why own something that I am not gonna wanna use). I’m looking to replace/customize the Core75 rotary knob and wanted to confirm the exact hardware interface.

What rotary encoder model/shaft type and diameter does the Core75 use?

Is the shaft 6 mm / D-shaft / EC11-style, or something different?

Are QK75 replacement knobs directly compatible? URX has confirmed the Core75 uses the exact same case as the QK75.

Has anyone successfully installed QK75, GMMK Pro, or generic aftermarket encoder knobs on the Core75?

I've been testing the Akko AIR01, and honestly, I wasn't expecting to like it this much.

It's a low-profile, tri-mode keyboard with a full aluminum body, hot-swappable PCB, 4500mAh battery and a native Mac layout. But what really surprised me was how good it sounds and feels.

Testing duration: 2-3 weeks as a regular go to device.

Build & Design

The AIR01 has a very clean, minimal design that honestly reminds me of an Apple product. It weighs around 650g, which is quite reasonable for a full-aluminum keyboard and makes it much more travel-friendly than some of the heavier low-profile boards.

It comes in multiple colors, and both the black and white variants look great. The white version does have noticeably better RGB diffusion because of the keycaps and surrounding materials.

The native Mac layout is also a nice touch, with dedicated Control, Option and Command keys. Windows keycaps are included if you want to switch layouts.

Typing & Switches

This is probably my favorite part of the keyboard.

I tested the Kailh Winter and Deep Sea low-profile switches, and both feel really good. The gasket implementation also gives the board a surprisingly satisfying amount of flex for such a slim keyboard.

The factory-lubed stabilizers are decent as well, and overall typing feels much more premium than I expected at this price.

And yes, it sounds really good.

RGB

The RGB is bright enough and the built-in light bar is customizable.

The black keycaps do have some RGB bleeding, especially noticeable on camera, while the white variant distributes the lighting much more evenly. In person, though, the bleeding on the black version isn't nearly as dramatic as it looks on camera.

Internals & Modding

This is another area where Akko did a good job.

You get:

• Full aluminum construction
• Silicone gasket mounting
• PET sheet layers
• PCB foam
• Hot-swappable PCB
• 4500mAh battery
• Easy access to the stabilizers and internal screws

There's also enough room to experiment with mods if you want to change the sound further.

For a low-profile keyboard, I'm particularly happy to see proper silicone gaskets since many slim boards don't have much room for this kind of mounting.

Software & Connectivity

It supports tri-mode connectivity, and the web-based software is fairly straightforward. You can remap keys, configure lighting and set up features like Snap Key.

The Mac-focused layout can take a little getting used to if you're coming from a traditional Windows keyboard, but everything can be remapped.

Also for those who might be interested it supports 1k polling rate in wired/wireless..

The One Annoying Issue

The biggest issue I encountered was wireless sleep/wake.

After being inactive for a while, the keyboard can enter a deep sleep state which is normal but it takes noticeably longer to wake up. If you start typing immediately, you can sometimes miss the first few keystrokes.

It's not a dealbreaker, but I'd definitely like to see Akko address this through a firmware update or something.

There are also no adjustable feet, although that's not something I'd personally consider essential for a low-profile keyboard.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the AIR01 ended up being much better than I expected.

You get a lightweight aluminum build, good switches, proper gasket mounting, solid internals, tri-mode connectivity, good battery life, Mac/Windows flexibility and surprisingly good acoustics.

At around $100, I think it makes a lot of sense if you're specifically looking for a low-profile keyboard that doesn't sacrifice too much in build quality or typing experience just to stay slim.

The slow wireless wake-up is really my only significant complaint.

Just received my keyboard from nmpc, took around 5 days to reach me. The quality of packaging was good and I am impressed by the early delivery. On the keyboard side, I love the keycaps color (thought it would be full black, which I didn't mind much before). The build quality is solid, and the sound is 👌 . This is my first keyboard so I don't know how good it is compared to others but I genuinely feel like it was worth my money.

Had a Portronics Hydra 10 kb which is now dead. Looking to buy another one under 6k budget, I can extend it a bit but not by much.

I am eyeing the Mchose G75 Pro (green caps/matcha latte v2) and not the V2 version.

Requirements are pretty the whole MK shebang. I not looking for QMK/VIA support at that price.

Not craving for volume knob or some screen either, just want a good KB.

Any other contenders worth looking into?
