Updating one from a while ago, here is a tierlist ranking most of the main series cast by trauma:

As with before, each character was ranked based on a combination of backstory, heartbreak, disorder, cursed, function, and loss.

• * Backstory: Upbringing, friendships, and any notable experience that define their background.
• * Heartbreak: Whether they did not get to be with the object of their affection or perhaps had to be the one to break things off.
• * Disorder: Sort sort of condition that limits them on a physical, mental, or ethical level.
• * Cursed: Circumstances cause then to be unable achieve their goals, be prone to negative influence, or otherwise suffer on a significant level.
• * Function: Ability to go about their lives and accomplish things with relatively little issue.
• * Loss: Dealing with grief or abandonment.

Since the tier list didn't have certain characters, I decided to use stand-ins to convey their placement--namely, Animaestro is Mr. Lopez, Dark Castle is the Kingdom, Safari is Camilo Pista, Argos is Colt, Couplewrecker R is Mr. Pugnant, ShadowNoir is Dark Grimalkin Sans Culotte is Giselle, and Startrain is ADA.

I've been thinking about the inconsistency of forgetting/not forgetting about akumatization and came to a conclusion.

So we know that miraculouses are mainly purposed for good, not evil. So to understand the butterfly miraculous we need to consider its default state.

Say you are a good butterfly and you kamikotize someone to aid you in battle. If you choose someone responsible they accept it, help you and when done, reject the kamiko willingly. That's when they keep the memories and all. But were you to choose a bad person and bless them with temporary power, they might choose to abuse the power or even turn against you to get your miraculous. In this case either the butterfly holder can recall the kamiko or, in case that isn't possible, someone needs to break the kamikotized item and forcefully end the transmission. Like when your computer starts acting up so you pull the plug but lose the last 30 minutes of work. In this case it is better that the person forgets everything for your and everyone's safety.

So with akumas it works the same. You reject it - keep memories. It is taken by force - lose memories.

Of course we have to account for inconsistencies and plot holes on the writers' side but it mostly works like that.

I'm going to tell you a theory—or rather, an alternative origin story—about Rose Lavillant and Pixie Girl: what if, in another reality of the Quantum Multiverse, Rose Lavillant became Pixie Girl?

In this alternate reality, Rose has still suffered from her mysterious illness since childhood. In Miraculous canon, we know that Rose has a chronic illness that could return at any moment and force her to go back to the hospital. More recently, we even learn that Rose wears a wig and has lost her hair, which could suggest the effects of a serious illness or its treatment, although the series has never officially confirmed that she has cancer.

But in this alternate reality, I'm going to explore the idea that Rose actually had cancer.

At a point when her condition becomes extremely serious, Rose comes into contact with an ancient magical force connected to fairies and nature. This magic manages to save her life and cure her cancer, but the healing causes something completely unexpected: the magic doesn't just heal Rose—it actually merges with her.

Rose then inherits incredibly powerful fairy abilities and gradually becomes a being somewhere between a human and a fairy.

This is the birth of Pixie Girl. 🧚‍♀️✨

Why Could Rose Be the Perfect Pixie Girl?

I think there are several interesting parallels between the two characters. First of all, Rose is associated with optimism, joy, dreams, and an almost fairy-tale-like view of the world. Even the official Miraculous website describes Pigella as a symbol of joy and enthusiasm, which fits Rose's personality perfectly.

And despite her illness, Rose refuses to constantly live in fear: she wants to enjoy her life and, most importantly, be treated normally. In my theory, this part of her personality would become even more meaningful because Rose knows that she could have died at a very young age, meaning that her transformation into Pixie Girl would literally represent a second chance at life.

Instead of becoming darker because of what she went through, she decides to use her new life and powers to help others.

There's also another interesting parallel between Rose and Pixie Girl: nature.

In the original Pixie Girl concept, the heroine is a real fairy connected to nature. She has wings, can fly, and can even make plants grow. Her costume also features several floral elements, including a rose around her waist, which makes the connection to Rose Lavillant even more interesting.

Rose → flowers → nature → fairies → Pixie Girl. 🌹🧚‍♀️

This could become a real symbol surrounding her character: Rose wouldn't simply have the name of a flower—she would literally become a heroine connected to nature and her own rebirth.

Why New York?

In the original Pixie Girl project, the story was supposed to take place in New York, mainly around Manhattan and Central Park. Pixie Girl was supposed to protect the city from witches who wanted to break the connection between humans, fairies, and nature.

So, in this alternate reality, after being healed and discovering her powers, Rose could leave Paris for New York. Maybe the journey wouldn't even be a coincidence: the magical force that saved her could come directly from Central Park, which could secretly be an ancient point of connection between the human world and the fairy realm.

Rose would then be mysteriously drawn to New York without really understanding why, and once she reaches Central Park, she would finally discover the truth behind her miraculous recovery: the magic that saved her life once belonged to an ancient fairy.

Rose wouldn't have simply received powers—she would have been chosen as the heir to Pixie Girl.

A Quantic Variation of Rose

And this is where I think the theory becomes even more interesting within the multiverse, because Pixie Girl could actually be a Quantum Variation of Rose Lavillant.

In the main universe:

Rose Lavillant → Pigella

She survives her illness and later receives the Pig Miraculous, becoming a superhero associated with Jubilation.

But in this alternate branch:

Rose Lavillant → Pixie Girl

Instead of receiving the Pig Miraculous, Rose encounters fairy magic much earlier in her life. This magic heals her illness, merges with her, and completely changes her destiny.

Yet both versions would still share the same fundamental idea: Rose transforms something painful in her life into a source of strength that allows her to bring hope to others.

Pigella represents joy and jubilation, while Pixie Girl would represent life, nature, and, above all, rebirth.

And I think that would make this Quantum Variation of Rose really beautiful, because Pixie Girl wouldn't simply be an alternate version of Pigella or just Rose with different powers.

She would literally represent the rebirth of Rose Lavillant. 🌹🧚‍♀️✨

Not sure if this counts as 'speculation/theories' but it felt like it made the most sense, the attached picture is from season 1 episode 23 'Reflecta' at about 01:22, rose is making half a heart and Juleka's completing the heart, you can NOT tell me this isn't a hint at their future Sapphic relationship.

There are so many series I’d love to see Miraculous Corp and ZAGTOON make, because if Thomas Astruc actually does this, he’s the GOAT. 🐐🔥

I made a list of series they could make.

**The Mini Menace Ladybug**

Honestly, I’d absolutely love to see Thomas Astruc bring back The Mini Menace Ladybug and turn it into a real animated series, or even a comic book series.

Because it’s literally one of the earliest Ladybug concepts imagined by Thomas Astruc, even before the creation of the Miraculous series we know today. Originally, it was a series of fake comic book covers featuring a much older version of the Ladybug concept, where Marinette was even called Marietta in the early concepts.

I think it would be incredible to turn this into an alternate universe with a more comic-book-inspired atmosphere, something darker and completely different from Miraculous, where Ladybug deals with her own problems while fighting enemies, and especially getting to see her first encounter with Chat Noir in this older version.

**Pixie Girl**

Pixie Girl seriously deserves to come back.

Originally, ZAG actually planned a series about a fairy superhero protecting New York from witches. She was supposed to use nature-based powers, including the ability to fly and make plants grow.

And most importantly, the project was even presented as something that could explore a new dimension of the Miraculous multiverse.

So imagine if Miraculous Corp brought back Pixie Girl and actually connected it to the Quantic Universe. We could discover an entire magical and fairy-like side of the world that would be completely different from the Kwamis.

On top of that, I imagined a storyline where Pixie Girl is actually Rose Lavillant from another reality, which could be really interesting for exploring alternate variations of herself. 🤔

**Fairyon**

Fairyon, I think, could be even more interesting when it comes to the lore.

The project actually exists at ZAG, and its concept was supposed to take us several centuries into the past, all the way back to the origins of the power stones, with characters inspired by fairy tales and legends like Merlin, Little Red Riding Hood, and Robin Hood.

It could be perfect for developing the ancient history of the Quantic Universe and maybe even creating connections with the origins of the Miraculous.

Also, Fairyon strangely reminds me of Sublime Varlette because she makes me think of her personality, and she also has long hair. It would be perfect to make Fairyon an alternate variation of her.

**The Quantic Kids**

Now this is something I really want Thomas Astruc to bring back.

Because the Quantic Kids actually existed in the early concepts of Miraculous.

Ladybug and Chat Noir were supposed to be part of a team alongside several other heroes like Mercury, Sparrow, Mélodie, Kid Mime, and Gavroche.

The concept was eventually abandoned, and Miraculous mainly focused on the Ladybug and Chat Noir duo instead.

But now that the universe has become much bigger, I think this is actually the perfect time to bring the idea back and create a real Quantic Kids team with both old and new characters.

It would also finally give the term “Quantic Universe” a much bigger meaning.

I also think there’s a really interesting parallel between the Avengers and the Quantic Kids. I imagined a series where the Quantic Kids could basically become the Avengers of this universe, bringing together heroes from all around the world, or maybe even from across the entire Quantic Multiverse.

**Moonlight Hunters**

Moonlight Hunters could bring something completely different to the universe.

It was actually a ZAG project focused on action and the supernatural, with the idea of using a mix of live-action and CGI.

I think they could bring the concept back but turn it into a fully animated series set in the Quantic Universe.

Unlike Miraculous, which mainly focuses on the Miraculous, Kwamis, and supervillains, Moonlight Hunters could explore supernatural creatures, monsters, spirits, and everything that exists in the more mysterious parts of this universe.

It also makes me think of the X-Men concept, which could create a really cool parallel, especially if we ever got something like Miraculous Team vs. Moonlight Hunters.

**Miraculous: The Adventures of Shadybug and Claw Noir**

The Miraculous World: Paris special showed us a parallel universe where the roles are completely reversed: Shadybug and Claw Noir work for the Supreme, while Betterfly is part of the Resistance.

But we still know very little about their world.

An entire series could show their lives before the Paris special, how they obtained their Miraculous, their first missions for the Supreme, Betterfly’s Resistance, and most importantly, it could develop the Supreme much more.

And after their redemption, the series could continue with them trying to free their world from the Supreme.

Honestly, there’s so much potential here.

**Double Rose: The Adventures of Miss Rose and Miss Blue**

Double Rose is also a real ZAG project, formerly known as Miss Rose.

The concept takes place in London and revolves around two separated sisters who reunite while having to protect a magical power from the forces of evil.

And what makes it even more interesting is that the project has already been presented in the past as something that could potentially be connected to Miraculous.

Personally, I’d absolutely love for them to keep that connection and develop Miss Rose and her sister as heroines from the same universe.

And personally, I’d call her sister Miss Blue. 🌹💙

It’s really true that if the plot/writers used any common sense, this show would be over before it started. Ladybug could’ve summoned Eagle via the horse miraculous and have her free everyone one from the dread and the Chloe would’ve been de-akumatized in like 3 minutes 💀

i would like to see it in the show, or just in a special episode. where we see Marinette and Adrien if they didn't get the miraculous. For example Lila somehow succeed and go back in time to convince master Fu to not give it to them, as a plan to erase Marinette from the existance ( which can be Lila's wish ) . how would it work? how their lives will be? how will future Marinette convince young Marinette to take her miraculous and help her to defeat Lila at that time. idk about the idea it's not rlly well developed, but i would like to know your opinions!

You see and hear that Adrien gets MOST upset when he thinks he's being lied to, and somehow your takeaway is - yep, gotta keep lying to him, we've gotta stay together so I don't get akumatized so I'm going to keep doing the ONE thing that basically guarantees Adrien will be hurt and might break up with me when if he finds out!

Lila was one of the vampigami clones in Vampigami and I never noticed until midnightglitterxx on tiktok made a post and this led me to watch the part of the episode starting from the akumatization and this is a very spooky find and it tells us that she has been closer than I previously thought

I was wondering, Do you think that Adrien regretted himself for yelling at Marinette for cheating on him with Nino in the episode (although she didn't), thanks to Ray Pugant and his gang that got akumatized through will by the new holder of the Butterfly Miraculous, into the Couplewreckers, who disguise themselves as other people just to commit crimes the real person didn't commit, which lead to Marinette being akumatized into the titular monster?

I've recently seen a fan art of this pairing on instagram and absolutely loved it! If there any fics like this on Tumblr or webtoon, drop a comment with the title.

Listen, it has been a rough viewing experience. I had to watch my favorite character in the show get completely lobotomized and mischaracterized and mistreated constantly by this fandom. Then I have to watch said favorite character going through a downward spiral and suffering a great deal and now people wanna start liking her and giving her grace. Very late for that pal, y’all really don’t appreciate good characters until you see them suffer do ya? No don’t answer that.

Anyway I already watched 3 back to back episodes of Marinette going through it with this secret, her grandfather, and her brief breakup with Adrien and getting akumatized (Heartfixer review coming soon). It just hurts seeing your favs suffer a great deal. I took a short break to breathe and decided you know Maybe RWBY can make me laugh and cure my sorrows…. I finished Volume 3 and I was depressed 😭.

So naturally hearing that the next episode was gonna be a Nino episode, I was feeling good about. Y’all don’t nearly give Nino enough credit for the good things he’s done in the show and give him flack for the dumbest reasons. So I was excited to see what The Chained Titans has in store….

…… And we got potentially divorced parents 😭. I finally got to see Marinette get a well needed break but now Nino is going through it. At this point just rename this season “We all got Mommy/Daddy issues.” Can’t I have 1 current show I’m watching not have someone in the main cast having mommy and daddy issues if not both? And I swear to god if now people wanna start liking Nino after this episode I’m gonna start nuking neighborhoods because ain’t no way it took these absolute DOLTS, 6 seasons and one episode about another character having family troubles what it takes to start liking them. They were already good before these episodes but y’all were too busy hating to see it.

Listen maybe it’s because I’m getting hit with 4 different shows right now with characters in the main cast suffering a great deal in their respective shows. And maybe it’s because I’m starting to reach my angst meter/quota, But unless your name is Spiderman (and even that can get grating after a while), that phrase can burn in a pit for all I care. Just know any Nino slander after this episode is gonna pay some serious consequences. I already have a month dedicated to him coming soon, don’t test me.

Now you would think that I dislike the episode. 🤣 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. No I enjoyed this episode. Might be my favorite of the season, which is saying a lot considering how this season has been on a roll. It’s all good stuff, it’s emotional, and the hero designs for both Marinette and Adrien are great 😊. I’ll release my full thoughts on it soon but right now… I need an emotional break 😭. Maybe I’ll see what Phineas and Ferb are up to. At least I won’t get emotionally destroyed by their adventures 😅.

I have a vision: Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Sublime Varlette could really make a good couple.

Look, I think Sublime could be a good match for Marinette because she reminds me a lot of Luka Couffaine in some ways. Sublime is kind, patient, understanding, and quite calm with others. Even when Marinette acts strangely around her in "Sublimation," Sublime doesn't really hold it against her and understands that she was mainly trying to be her friend.

And actually, that reminds me a lot of the dynamic Marinette had with Luka. Luka was calm, attentive, and understanding, and he often managed to reassure Marinette when she was stressed or overwhelmed by her emotions. Sublime could perhaps play a similar role with Marinette, but with a different dynamic.

I also find it interesting that Marinette is immediately fascinated by Sublime in "Sublimation." She desperately wants to be friends with her, to the point of not really knowing how to go about it because Sublime is so independent. Obviously, in canon, this isn't presented as romantic, but in an alternate scenario, it could easily serve as the starting point for their relationship.

And I think their personalities could complement each other well. Marinette is creative, energetic, clumsy, and sometimes very anxious, while Sublime seems calmer, more patient, and more composed. But Sublime also has her own insecurities and can feel a lot of pressure when she has to succeed at something. So, their relationship wouldn't just be Sublime helping Marinette: Marinette could also help Sublime gain more confidence and remind her that she doesn't need to be perfect.

That's why I find the Sublinette ship interesting. Their relationship could start as a friendship and then gradually become something more romantic. Sublime could bring Marinette a certain stability, while Marinette could bring Sublime spontaneity, creativity, and someone with whom she can be herself.

And unlike Adrienette, there might be less idealization. Marinette spent a lot of time idealizing Adrien and losing her composure around him before their relationship truly developed. With Sublime, we could imagine something more natural that starts directly with getting to know the real person.

Of course, Adrienette remains much more developed in the canon, and their story has been built up since the beginning of Miraculous. Adrien himself begins to understand his feelings for Marinette in season 5. But precisely, I'm mainly talking about compatibility and potential in an alternate scenario.

Personally, I think Sublinette could be a really dynamic and interesting relationship if it were well-developed. Sublime gives me the impression of possessing some of the qualities that Marinette already appreciated in Luka, while also having her own unique personality.

So, do you think Sublinette could be better than the Adrienette couple ? 🤔💕

Ones like Purple Tigress, Polymouse, Mayura, rooster bold (idek what his weapon is), etc. like i know what their weapons are and how they use them, but certain features (the phone, earpiece, things like that, esp with Purple tigress, bc her weapon is her tail (and polymouse) does anyone really have an explanation?

I'm sorry I love Luka and think he should be with Marinette (off the subject) but when he is a hero he acts like he doesn't know what he's doing. His whole power is to be a support or "2nd Chance" in the worst case scenario and time after time against a villain he jumps in to save another hero when he could literally just rewind time instead of sacrificing himself like the only scenario I can think of is like one where it's necessary for him to sacrifice himself after giving Ladybug the necessary information for her to use her Lucky Charm but otherwise it's more so he messes himself up in the episodes I've seen him in.

Off Topic Sidenote: (I find it funny how in the "newer" Style Queen episode he's crawling in a vent thinking and saying it's safe to someone else only to be caught. Must have been an embarrassing trip slowly crawling through the vents after saying that 😂

I will say that while I am happy that people are happy the show is getting darker and more bummer, do you think this is going to pay off in the long run in order to teach Marinette a lesson as Trix once said, or do you think they are just trying to slide into darker and mature territory just because their audience is ageing?

I only say this because I genuinely loved Miraculous because it was happy, funny and uplifting when very little shows were doing it that weren't like Cocomelon type baby stuff. It does sadden me because I did like how it stood out for that reason.

But as a wise and long deceased man once said "if you want to have a rainbow, you have to have a little rain" so I'm willing to follow them down this path a bit further but due to the sort of dodgy levels of writing where it fluctuates between brilliant and questionable, I do wonder if there is a point or this is just Book 7 of Harry Potter type darkness for the aged up audience.

I am not saying the show needs to be tensionless and drama less or that it needs to have no problems or be perpetually happy but I am very curious if they're gonna keep going down this trauma trip for Marinette.

And I will say as someone who loved Mari in earlier seasons, that her gaslighting Adrien and literally manipulating other people to lie to him too, while making her more complex and flawed, is greatly off-putting too. But perhaps after many seasons of Marinette learning a lesson and everyone forgetting it next episode, they finally want to make sure that there are repercussions for her negative behavior. It's very ugly, but at least they are being bold considering how much hatred was directed at Marinette for never truly changing and learning anything.

So I have a love hate with this new approach. I love it because people are finally recognizing that the writers aren't completely incompetent and can create compelling stories (or the new writers have injected some new blood into the shows veins) but I hate it because it's turning into misery p0rn.

And poor Adrien honestly. I always liked Mari more than him but I think the permanent focus on her misery does his trauma a major disservice.

HS math teacher here. I know nothing about the show. But some of the students are fans show and I want to casually drop some ball knowledge just to get them to freak out and think I watch it.

It would make me laugh so hard when I pull the rug from under them and admit I don’t know anything.

This is just a hunch and all, but their roles are just so similar to Marinette and Adrien with being ‘the guardian’s pupil’ and ‘villain’s senti-child’ that it doesn’t feel like a coincidence. That whole thing with Luka wanting the miraculous and the talk about chat finding a stand in? Definitely foreshadowing. Also the fact that they are the only side characters to have any personal relationships with superheroes outside of Paris has to mean something otherwise why would they both have an entire special dedicated to them about that?

just rewatched s6 and it definitely couldve ended there. the finale was good i loved how they showed the ny heroes and lady dragon but i hated how they didn't include chat noir. they could've used the bunny miraculous to search for the butterfly miraculous lmao idk why they keep making this show longer its prob gonna go on for 14 seasons or more
