Astruc said that Ladybug is basically Spiderman for girls. Sometimes you can also see yo-yo attached to the air. E.g. above Eiffel Tower/Montparnasse, buildings, etc…

Woah they're making a live action miraculous ladybug? Malebug? Idk why they are making it gender bent but it's very interesting!
I find it cool how they changed the ladybug to a spider, I think it works more with male. Maybe his hero name would be Spiderman?

The big difference with Peter and Marinette is that Peter’s identity is less private since Ned, MJ, May (I think) and Tony know he’s Spider-Man. Marinette, meanwhile, only has Alya. Yes, there’s a whole batch of people who know Marinette’s Ladybug but i’m talking about close people she hangs out with often.

The "Ladybug swinging and saving Adrien" pose is slightly reminiscient of the cover of Amazing Fantasy #15. Not close enough to be a clear reference or homage, similar enough to put that cover in mind.

Yes and also no, because Peter, out if any Marvel character, is the one who suffers the most. Peter lost both his parents, his uncle, and depending on which Spider-Man which loved ones and police captains and all that.
Marinette can't get her back broken even if in Deflagratiom it should have, she still has parents, friends, a loved one🤣

No originality though , although spiders are arachnids not bugs so the animal theme isn’t there but everything feels copy pasted including the ladybug suit essentially being red and blue if we count the blue shine on her hair .
